A novel halogen‐free 9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐10‐phosphaphenanthrene‐10‐oxide (DOPO)‐containing co‐curing agent, 6,6′‐(1,4‐phenylenebis(((4‐(phenylamino)phenyl)amino)methylene))bis(dibenzo[c,e][1,2]oxaphosphinine 6‐oxide) (DPN) was synthesized via a simple 1‐pot or 2‐step procedure with yield of 86.2% and 70.8%, respectively. The molecular structures of 4,4′‐((1,4‐phenylenebis(methanylylidene))bis(azanylylidene))bis(N‐phenylaniline) (DPN intermediate) and DPN are characterized by FTIR, NMR, and MS. TGA tests show that the char yield of DPN/EP composites raises to 30.9% when the molar ratio of DPN to 4,4‐diaminodiphenyl methane(DDM) is 20:80. Tg values of DPN/EP composites tested by DSC and DMA are similar to neat epoxy resin (EP), which is due to the secondary amine in DPN that participates in the cross‐linking reaction of epoxy resin. The storage modulus in the rubber stage (E′‐190 °C) of flame‐retardant epoxy resin is close to that of neat EP, while their tanδ's are lower, which indicates the similarity of samples' cross‐linking density due to the participation of DPN in the cross‐linking reaction. The results show that when the molar ratio of DPN and DDM is 5:95, the epoxy has a higher Tg value and better mechanical properties than other samples. The introduction of DPN efficiently improves the flame‐retardant properties of epoxy resin with V‐0 rating of UL‐94 vertical burning test, non‐dripping, 41% of limit oxygen index (LOI) value, low peak heat release rate (PHRR), and total heat release (THR). 相似文献

A new Co(II) complex of general formula [Co(L)2] has been synthesized from a NNO tridentate Schiff base ligand, 2-[(piperidin-2-ylmethylimino)-methyl]-phenol (L). The title complex is characterized by elemental, spectroscopic, antibacterial, and single crystal X-ray structural studies. X-Ray crystallography reveals that the complex shows a distorted octahedral geometry around the Co(II) ion. The complex was tested against several bacteria and shows good antibacterial activities against almost all of the bacteria. The interactions of the title complex with calf thymus deoxyribonucleic acid (CT-DNA) have been investigated by electronic absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy, showing that the complex interacts with CT-DNA via partial intercalation. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) of the complex has also been reported and the result shows that the complex is thermally stable up to 134 °C. 相似文献

All-trns-N-retinylidenetryptamine Schiff base was incorporated into aerosol-OT (AOT, sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl)sulphosuccinate)/heptane reverse micelles. This micellar system was used as a model to study the retinal-tryptophan interactions in retinal proteins. The retinylidene Schiff base remains stable in the presence of reverse micelle-solubilized water pools. Partition coefficient and microviscosity measurements show that the Schiff base is located in the micellar interphase. The results are discussed in terms of the interaction between the retinylidene chromophore and the active site environment of rhodopsin and bacteriorhodopsin. In the present model, the quencher and emitting units are covalently attached, and are separated by two carbon spacer units. The fluorescence emission data obtained for the micelle-intercalated Schiff base chromophore are compared with the fluorescence of the native protein and intermediates in the photochemical cycle of bacteriofhodopsin. A comparison of the data obtained for tryptamine and the Schiff base with the results available for bacteriorhodopsin and bacterioopsin reveals that there is a large degree of quenching on intercalation of the retinylidene chromophore in the vicinity of the fluorophore. Evidence provided by this model suggests that energy transfer to retinal can occur from tryptophan residues located in the retinal pocket in the native protein. Thus the retinylidene unit can act as a quencher of the energy of tryptophan, the nature and extent of which may depend on the conformation and relative orientation of the protein-bound fluorophore. 相似文献

In the present work, highly efficient trimethylsilylation of alcohols and phenols with hexamethyldisilazane (HMDS) catalyzed by high-valent [TiIV(salophen)(OTf)2] is reported. Under these conditions, primary, secondary and tertiary alcohols as well as phenols were silylated in short reaction times and high yields. It is noteworthy that this method can be used for chemoselective silylation of primary alcohols in the presence of secondary and tertiary alcohols and phenols. Chiral Schiff base complexes containing azo-groups, bis(N-R-1-cyclohexylethyl-4-phenyldiazenylsalicydenaminato) nickel(II), copper(II) and zinc(II) complexes, and without azo-groups, bis(N-R-1-cyclohexylethyl-3,5-dichlorosalicydenaminato) nickel(II), copper(II) and zinc(II) complexes, affording a distorted square planar trans-[MN2O2] coordination geometry were prepared. Organic/inorganic hybrid materials in polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) spincoat films of the complexes (both the azobenzene (AZ) containing type and the latter complexes of the AZ separated type) were assembled for a comparison of polarized UV light induced molecular arrangement caused by the Weigert effect. Investigation of the parameters for the optical anisotropy of the metal complexes as well as AZ suggested that the degree of increasing optical anisotropy of the containing type was higher than that of the separated type based on π-π∗ (of which a characteristic band appeared around 380 nm) and n-π∗ bands of polarized absorption electronic spectra. In the AZ containing type, the rigid nickel(II) or zinc(II) complexes easily increase the optical anisotropy compared to the flexible copper(II) complexes. In the AZ separated type, interestingly, enhancement of some CD bands suggests the role of chiral dopants of some complexes without azo-groups for AZ. 相似文献

The results of evaluating the individual hydrogen bond (H-bond) strength are expected to be helpful for the rational design of new strategies for molecular recognition or supramolecular assemblies. Unfortunately, there is few obvious and unambiguous means of evaluating the energy of a single H-bond within a multiple H-bonds system. We present a local analytic model, ABEEMσπ H-bond energy (HBE) model based on ab initio calculations (MP2) as benchmark, to directly and rapidly evaluate the individual HBE in situ in inter- and intramolecular multiple H-bonds system. This model describes the HBE as the sum of electrostatic and van der Waals (vdW) interactions which all depend upon the geometry and environment, and the ambient environment of H-bond in the model is accounted fairly. Thus, it can fairly consider the cooperative effect and secondary effect. The application range of ABEEMσπ HBE model is rather wide. This work has discussed the individual H-bond in DNA base pair and protein peptide dimers. The results indicate that the interactions among donor H atom, acceptor atom as well as those atoms connected to them with 1,2 or 1,3 relationships are all important for evaluating the HBE, although the interaction between the donor H atom and the acceptor atom is large. Furthermore, our model quantitatively indicates the polarization ability of N, O, and S in a new style, and gives the percentage of the polarization effect in HBE, which can not be given by fixed partial charge force field. 相似文献
