Supramolecular nanotube hosts with precisely controlled inner or outer diameters have been synthesized by self-assembly of unsymmetrical bolaamphiphilic monomers or glucopyranosylamide lipids, respectively. Time-resolved fluorescent measurement using 8-anilinonaphthalene-1-sulfonate (ANS) as a probe revealed that the water confined in a cardanyl-β-D -glucopyranoside lipid nanotube has relatively lower solvent polarity corresponding to that of propanol than bulk water. Extensively developed hydrogen bond networks also characterize the confined water in comparison to the case in bulk water. Encapsulation ability of the glucopyranosylamide lipid nanotube has been examined by filling the lyophilized LNTs with gold or silver nanoparticles, ferritin, or magnetic crystals. Filling the unsymmetrical bolaamphiphile nanotube possessing positively charged inner surfaces with negatively charged polymer beads or ferritin proved to be successful without depending on capillary action. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We report herein studies on the liquid crystalline behavior of a series of supramolecular materials that contain different ratios of two complementary symmetrically-substituted alkoxy-bis(phenylethynyl)benzene AA- and BB-type monomers. One monomer has thymine units placed at either end of the rigid mesogenic core, while the other has N6-(4-methoxybenzoyl)-adenine units placed on the ends. Differential scanning calorimetric and polarized optical microscopy studies have been carried out on these systems. These studies show that the material's behavior is strongly dependent on its thermal history. As a result, the materials can exhibit, on heating, either a liquid crystalline phase, a crystalline phase, or the coexistence of crystalline and liquid crystalline regions. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The monodisperse, porous poly(chloromethylstyrene-co-divinylbenzene) beads of 7.9 microm were prepared by a single-step swelling and polymerization method. The seed particles prepared by dispersion polymerization exhibited good absorption of the monomer phase. Based on this media, a weak cation-exchange (WCX) stationary phase for HPLC was synthesized by a new chemically modified method. The prepared resin has advantages of biopolymer separation, high column efficiency, low column backpressure, high protein mass recovery, and good resolution for proteins. The dynamic protein-loading capacity of the synthesized WCX packings was 18.2 mg/g. Five proteins were separated in 3.0 min using the synthesized WCX stationary phase. The experimental results show that the obtained WCX resin has very weak hydrophobicity. The WCX resin was also used for the rapid separation and purification of lysozyme from egg white in 5.0 min with only one step. The purity and specific bioactivity of the purified lysozyme were found to be more than 93% and 70 245 U/mg, respectively.  相似文献

本文采用表面活性剂十六烷基三甲基溴化铵(C16TABr,以下为1631),在(Na,K)OHSiO2C16TABrH2O体系中分别利用室温、水热及干粉法进行了纯硅MCM41中孔分子筛的合成,考察了阳离子Na+、K+对MCM41合成及稳定性的影响。通过XRD对结晶度的测定,发现NaMCM41的晶化速率明显高于KMCM41,而热稳定性和水热稳定性较差,且a0值小于后者。同时发现,就合成方法而言,室温法得到的产物具有很高的结晶度,利用水热法合成的样品的热稳定性明显较高,而干法得到的分子筛产品具有优良的水热稳定性。  相似文献

采用水热法用Ni(NO3)26H2O和异烟酸制备出了一种新的由配合物形成的三维超分子体系—[Ni(C6H4O2N)2(H2O)4],并通过X射线衍射对其晶体结构进行了测定。 该晶体属三斜晶系,空间群为Pī, 所得晶胞参数为: a = 6.9228(4), b = 9.6664(19),c = 6.322(1) , a = 96.86(3), b = 113.33(3), g = 110.35(3)°, V = 347.6(1) 3, Z = 1, Mr = 374.98, Dc = 1.791 g/cm3, F(000) = 194, m = 1.443 mm-1。用1362个可观察的 (I > 2s(I))衍射点,修正123个结构参数, 最终偏离因子R = 0.0444,wR = 0.1271。在组成该化合物的基本结构单元[Ni(C6H4O2N)2(H2O)4]中,Ni处于1个稍微拉长的八面体的中心; 各个结构单元之间通过氢键OH…O相互连接,形成了无限伸展的具有层状结构的三维超分子体系。 另外,从差热及热重曲线可以看出,该化合物加热到154 ℃时开始分解, 首先失去4个H2O,再失去2个异烟酸根,最后残余物为NiO。  相似文献

Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) studies on bipyridine (bpy) containing block copolymer systems showed the formation of nanoscopic polymer–ion complexes through complexation with copper(I) ions which segregated to highly ordered columnar domains of mesoscopic dimensions. The domains, i.e. stacks of [(bpy)2Cu(I)] complex moieties could be visualized by complementary TEM techniques. First, electron energy loss spectra (EELS) showed the absorption edges of copper and nitrogen, which are specific for the bipyridine copper complexes. The element spectroscopic imaging (ESI) technique allowed the imaging of the net copper and net nitrogen distribution, and the coinciding pictures exhibited a microphase separated system in the case of a 3-block copolymer with complexed end segments. High resolution elastic bright field images showed interference lines with a line to line distance of about 8 A which could be related to the Cu–Cu distance in staggered Cu(I)–bipyridine complexes.
