On the Patterson–Sullivan Measure for Geometrically Finite Groups Acting on Complex or Quaternionic Hyperbolic Space

The goal of this paper is to provide a tool, the Global Measure Formula, that will facilitate the study of the limit set of discrete geometrically finite groups of isometries of the rank one symmetric spaces. We consider the shadow of a ball from a fixed reference point onto the boundary, and prove a formula that describes the measure of the shadow in terms of the center of the shadowed ball, generalizing a result from real hyperbolic geometry.     

烃类烟粒红外复折射率的测定与应用

测定了室温下烃类(乙炔、乙烷)烟粒的红外复折射率,并讨论了所获数据在测量烟浓度与烟粒大小分类、计算光谱吸收系数及在特定浓度与温度下评估烟雾辐射率方面的应用。     

Kinetic features of ethylene polymerization over supported catalysts [2,6‐bis(imino)pyridyl iron dichloride/magnesium dichloride] with AlR3 as an activator

The effects of polymerization temperature, polymerization time, ethylene and hydrogen concentration, and effect of comonomers (hexene‐1, propylene) on the activity of supported catalyst of composition LFeCl₂/MgCl₂‐Al(i‐Bu)₃ (L = 2,6‐bis[1‐(2,6‐dimethylphenylimino)ethyl] pyridyl) and polymer characteristics (molecular weight (MW), molecular‐weight distribution (MWD), molecular structure) have been studied. Effective activation energy of ethylene polymerization over LFeCl₂/MgCl₂‐Al(i‐Bu)₃ has a value typical of supported Ziegler–Natta catalysts (11.9 kcal/mol). The polymerization reaction is of the first order with respect to monomer at the ethylene concentration >0.2 mol/L. Addition of small amounts of hydrogen (9–17%) significantly increases the activity; however, further increase in hydrogen concentration decreases the activity. The IRS and DSC analysis of PE indicates that catalyst LFeCl₂/MgCl₂‐Al(i‐Bu)₃ has a very low copolymerizing ability toward propylene and hexene‐1. MW and MWD of PE produced over these catalysts depend on the polymerization time, ethylene and hexene‐1 concentration. The activation effect of hydrogen and other kinetic features of ethylene polymerization over supported catalysts based on the Fe (II) complexes are discussed. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Small-world and the growing properties of the Chinese railway network

By using the tools of statistical physics and recent investigations of the scaling properties of different complex networks, the structural and evolving properties of the Chinese railway network (CRN) is studied. It has been verified that the CRN has the same small-world properties of the Indian railway network (IRN). According to the class of small-world networks, we believe the CRN is a single scale. In addition, a novel result is obtained. Measurements on the CRN indicate that the rate at which nodes acquire links depends on the node’s degree and follows a power law.      

非对称三态叠加多模泛函叠加态光场的高次压缩——广义电场分量的不等幂次和压缩效应研究

多模真空态|{0j}〉q与两个空间强度分布特征不同的多模复共轭泛函相干态|{f(j a)*(x,y,z)}〉q和|{f(j b)*(x,y,z)}〉q的线性叠加组成的三态叠加多模泛函叠加态光场|ψ(f3)〉q,利用多模压缩态理论,研究了态|ψ(f3)〉q中广义电场分量的不等幂次高次和(H)压缩特性.结果表明:在一定的条件下,态|ψ(f3)〉q的广义电场分量可呈现出周期性变化的任意奇数次和任意偶数次的不等幂次高次H压缩效应;光场的经典振幅和经典初始相位的任意非对称空间分布特征对其压缩程度和压缩深度等压缩特性将产生直接的影响.     

One-Parameter Fixed-Point Theory and Gradient Flows of Closed 1-Forms

We use the one-parameter fixed-point theory of Geoghegan and Nicas to get information about the closed orbit structure of transverse gradient flows of closed 1-forms on a closed manifold M. We define a noncommutative zeta function in an object related to the first Hochschild homology group of the Novikov ring associated to the 1-form and relate it to the torsion of a natural chain homotopy equivalence between the Novikov complex and a completed simplicial chain complex of the universal cover of M.
