Statistical thermodynamics evaluation of polymer–polymer miscibility

The Simha and Somcynsky (S–S) statistical thermodynamics theory was used to compute the solubility parameters as a function of temperature and pressure [δ = δ(T, P)], for a series of polymer melts. The characteristic scaling parameters required for this task, P*, T*, and V*, were extracted from the pressure–temperature–volume (PVT) data. To determine the potential polymer–polymer miscibility, the dependence of δ versus T (at ambient pressure) was computed for 17 polymers. Close proximity of the δ versus T curves for four miscible polymer pairs: PPE/PS, PS/PVME, and PC/PMMA signaled the usefulness of this approach. It is noteworthy, that the tabulated solubility parameters (derived from the solution data under ambient conditions) propounded the immiscibility of the PVC/PVAc pair. The computed values of δ also suggested miscibility for polymer pairs of unknown miscibility, namely PPE/PVC, PPE/PVAc, and PET/PSF. In recognizing the limitations of the solubility parameter approach (the omission of several thermodynamic contributions), these preliminary results are auspicious because they indicate a new route for estimating the miscibility of any polymeric material at a given temperature and pressure. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 纳米KMn8O16粉体的室温固相合成与表征

室温或近室温固相反应要求绿色化、清洁化[1,2]。我们以KMnO4和MnCl2·4H2O为原料,用室温固相氧化还原反应制备氧化锰粉体时,得到了一种对H2O2分解具有较高催化活性的纳米KMn8O16粉体,用XRD、SEM、IR等技术对其进行了表征,发现研磨时间对粉体性能有显著影响。1　实验部分1 1　粉体的制备按摩尔比(2∶3)准确称取一定量的分析纯KMnO4和MnCl2·4H2O,分别置于玛瑙研钵中充分研细,再混合研磨,固相反应立即发生,体系颜色逐渐加深,并有刺激性气体产生,充分研磨后70℃恒温12h,固相产物依次经水洗至中性、醇洗、抽滤,真空干燥得黑色粉…     

Synthesis of 2-Acyl-2H-1,2,3-diazaphospholes and Their Diels-Alder Reaction with Cyclopentadiene

2H-1,2,3-Diazaphospholes 3a-3h were prepared from various ketone acylhydrazones and phosphorus trichloride in the presence of triethylamine. Compounds 3 underwent feasible hetero-Diels-Alder reactions with cyclopentadiene to afford the respective anellated [1,2,3]diazaphospholes 4a--4d as well as 4a‘--4d‘ in moderate yields. The endo rule in the reaction was observed under kinetic control conditions.     

Nickel Chloride Promoted Glaser Coupling Reaction in Hot Water

A Glaser coupling reaction of terminal alkynes in the presence of nickel chloride withoutany organics and bases in hot water has been developed, which produces the correspondinghomo-coupling products in good yields.     

A convenient method for the preparation of α-vinylfurans by phosphine-initiated reactions of various substituted enynes bearing a carbonyl group with aldehydes

α-Vinylfurans were obtained by phosphine-initiated cyclization of various enynes bearing a carbonyl group at the ene end in the presence of various aldehydes, in moderate to high yields. The reaction may consist of 1,6-addition of phosphine to the enynes, ring closure, and Wittig reaction between the ylid resulting from cyclization and an aldehyde. Thus, various aldehydes were able to be used in the reaction. The reaction was influenced greatly by the substituents at the acetylene position (R¹) and the α-position of the carbonyl group (R³).     

NECESSARY CONDITIONS FOR OPTIMAL CONTROLS OF SEMILINEAR ELLIPTIC VARIATIONAL INEQUALITIES INVOLVING STATE CONSTRAINT

This paper deals with maximum principle for some optimal control problem governed by some elliptic variational inequalities. Some state constraints are discussed. The basic techniques used here are based on those in [1] and a new penalty functional defined in this paper.     

THE CLASSIFICATION AND PERIOD OF STATES FOR MARKOV CHAIN IN RANDOM ENVIRONMENT

This paper is a continuation of [8]. In Section 1, three kinds of communication are introdnced for two states and the relations among them are investigated. In Section 2, two kinds of period of a state are introdnced and it is obtained that the period is a “class property” ,i.e. two states x and y belong to same class implies the period of x is equal to the period of y.
