Phosphorus nitride imide, PN(NH), is of great scientific importance because it is isosteric with silica (SiO2). Accordingly, a varied structural diversity could be expected. However, only one polymorph of PN(NH) has been reported thus far. Herein, we report on the synthesis and structural investigation of the first high‐pressure polymorph of phosphorus nitride imide, β‐PN(NH); the compound has been synthesized using the multianvil technique. By adding catalytic amounts of NH4Cl as a mineralizer, it became possible to grow single crystals of β‐PN(NH), which allowed the first complete structural elucidation of a highly condensed phosphorus nitride from single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction data. The structure was confirmed by FTIR and 31P and 1H solid‐state NMR spectroscopy. We are confident that high‐pressure/high‐temperature reactions could lead to new polymorphs of PN(NH) containing five‐fold‐ or even six‐fold‐coordinated phosphorus atoms and thus rivalling or even surpassing the structural variety of SiO2. 相似文献

New pyranoid ε‐sugar amino acids were designed as building blocks, in which the carboxylic acid and the amine groups were placed in positions C2 and C3 with respect to the tetrahydropyran oxygen atom. By using standard solution‐phase coupling procedures, cyclic homooligomers containing pyranoid ε‐sugar amino acids were synthesized. Conformation analysis was performed by using NMR spectroscopic experiments, FTIR spectroscopic studies, X‐ray analysis, and a theoretical conformation search. These studies reveal that the presence of a methoxy group in the position C4 of the pyran ring produces an important structural change in the cyclodipeptides. When the methoxy groups are present, the structure collapses through interresidue hydrogen bonds between the oxygen atoms of the pyran ring and the amide protons. However, when the cyclodipeptide lacks the methoxy groups, a U‐shape structure is adopted, in which there is a hydrophilic concave face with four oxygen atoms and two amide protons directed toward the center of the cavity. Additionally, we found important evidence of the key role played by weak electrostatic interactions, such as the five‐membered hydrogen‐bonded pseudocycles (C5) between the amide protons and the ether oxygen atoms, in the conformation equilibrium of the macrocycles and in the cyclization step of the cyclic tetrapeptides. 相似文献

Three new electron‐rich metal–organic frameworks ( MOF‐1 – MOF‐3 ) have been synthesized by employing ligands bearing aromatic tags. The key role of the chosen aromatic tags is to enhance the π‐electron density of the luminescent MOFs. Single‐crystal X‐ray structures have revealed that these MOFs form three‐dimensional porous networks with the aromatic tags projecting inwardly into the pores. These highly luminescent electron‐rich MOFs have been successfully utilized for the detection of explosive nitroaromatic compounds (NACs) on the basis of fluorescence quenching. Although all of the prepared MOFs can serve as sensors for NACs, MOF‐1 and MOF‐2 exhibit superior sensitivity towards 4‐nitrotoluene (4‐NT) and 2,4‐dinitrotoluene (DNT) compared to 2,4,6‐trinitrotoluene (TNT) and 1,3,5‐trinitrobenzene (TNB). MOF‐3 , on the other hand, shows an order of sensitivity in accordance with the electron deficiencies of the substrates. To understand such anomalous behavior, we have thoroughly analyzed both the steady‐state and time‐resolved fluorescence quenching associated with these interactions. Determination of static Stern–Volmer constants (KS) as well as collisional constants (KC) has revealed that MOF‐1 and MOF‐2 have higher KS values with 4‐NT than with TNT, whereas for MOF‐3 the reverse order is observed. This apparently anomalous phenomenon was well corroborated by theoretical calculations. Moreover, recyclability and sensitivity studies have revealed that these MOFs can be reused several times and that their sensitivities towards TNT solution are at the parts per billion (ppb) level. 相似文献

The degradation behaviours of five straight‐chain dicarboxylic acids (from ethanedioic acid to hexanedioic acid) were compared in aqueous TiO2‐based photocatalysis. When all other conditions were identical, the degradation rates were found to fluctuate regularly with the parity of the number of carbon atoms. Dicarboxylic acids with an even number of carbon atoms (e‐DAs) always degraded more slowly than those acids with an odd number of carbon atoms (o‐DAs). This unusual fluctuation in the reactivity for the degradation of dicarboxylic acids by TiO2‐based photocatalysis is very closely related to the different pre‐coordination modes of the acids with the photocatalyst. Attenuated total reflection FTIR (ATR‐FTIR) of e‐DAs labelled with 13C showed that both carboxyl groups of the acid coordinate to TiO2 through bidentate chelating forms. In contrast, only one carboxyl group of the o‐DAs coordinated to TiO2 in a bidentate chelating manner, whereas the other formed a monodentate binding linkage. The bidentate chelating form with bilateral symmetric coordination did not favour degradation. Isotope‐labelling experiments were performed with 18O2 to observe the different ways in which incorporated oxygen entered the initial decarboxylated products of e‐ and o‐DAs. For the degradation of butanedioic acid, (45.9±0.5) % of the oxygen in the formed propanedioic acid came from H2O, whereas for pentanedioic acid, (97.4±0.2) % of the oxygen in the formed butanedioic acid came from H2O. Our results demonstrate that in TiO2‐based photocatalysis, the reactivity of active species, such as . OH/hvb+, is far from non‐selective and that the attacks of these active species on organic substrates are significantly affected by the coordination patterns of the substrates on the TiO2 surface. 相似文献

Development of a new method to synthesize nanoporous metal oxides with highly crystallized frameworks is of great interest because of their wide use in practical applications. Here we demonstrate a thermal decomposition of metal‐cyanide hybrid coordination polymers (CPs) to prepare nanoporous metal oxides. During the thermal treatment, the organic units (carbon and nitrogen) are completely removed, and only metal contents are retained to prepare nanoporous metal oxides. The original nanocube shapes are well‐retained even after the thermal treatment. When both Fe and Co atoms are contained in the precursors, nanoporous Fe?Co oxide with a highly oriented crystalline framework is obtained. On the other hand, when nanoporous Co oxide and Fe oxide are obtained from Co‐ and Fe‐contacting precursors, their frameworks are amorphous and/or poorly crystallized. Single‐crystal‐like nanoporous Fe?Co oxide shows a stable magnetic property at room temperature compared to poly‐crystalline metal oxides. We further extend this concept to prepare nanoporous metal oxides with hollow interiors. Core‐shell heterostructures consisting of different metal‐cyanide hybrid CPs are prepared first. Then the cores are dissolved by chemical etching using a hydrochloric acid solution (i.e., the cores are used as sacrificial templates), leading to the formation of hollow interiors in the nanocubes. These hollow nanocubes are also successfully converted to nanoporous metal oxides with hollow interiors by thermal treatment. The present approach is entirely different from the surfactant‐templating approaches that traditionally have been utilized for the preparation of mesoporous metal oxides. We believe the present work proves a new way to synthesize nanoporous metal oxides with controlled crystalline frameworks and architectures. 相似文献

A new series of multiquaternary ammonium structure‐directing agents, based on 1,4‐diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane, was prepared. ZSM‐5 zeolites with nanosheet morphology (10 nm crystal thickness) were synthesized under hydrothermal conditions using multiquaternary ammonium surfactants as the zeolite structure‐generating agents. Both wide‐angle and small‐angle diffraction patterns were obtained using only a suitable structure‐directing agent under a specific zeolite synthesis composition. A mechanism of zeolite formation is proposed based on the results obtained from various physicochemical characterizations. ZSM‐5 materials were investigated in catalytic reactions requiring medium to strong acidity, which are important for the synthesis of a wide range of industrially important fine and specialty chemicals. The catalytic activity of ZSM‐5 materials was compared with that of the conventional ZSM‐5 and amorphous mesoporous aluminosilicate Al‐MCM‐41. The synthesis strategy of the present investigation using the new series of structure‐directing agents could be extended for the synthesis of other related zeolites or other porous materials in the future. Zeolite with a structural feature as small as the size of a unit cell (5–10 nm) with hierarchically ordered porous structure would be very promising for catalysis. 相似文献

Catalytic, peptide‐containing metal complexes with a well‐defined peptide structure have the potential to enhance molecular catalysts through an enzyme‐like outer coordination sphere. Here, we report the synthesis and characterization of an active, peptide‐based metal complex built upon the well‐characterized hydrogen production catalyst [Ni(PPh2NPh)2]2+ (PPh2NPh=1,3,6‐triphenyl‐1‐aza‐3,6‐diphosphacycloheptane). The incorporated peptide maintains its β‐hairpin structure when appended to the metal core, and the electrocatalytic activity of the peptide‐based metal complex (≈100,000 s?1) is enhanced compared to the parent complex ([Ni(PPh2NAPPA)2]2+; ≈50,500 s‐1). The combination of an active molecular catalyst with a structured peptide provides a scaffold that permits the incorporation of features of an enzyme‐like outer‐coordination sphere necessary to create molecular electrocatalysts with enhanced functionality. 相似文献

Anti‐MUC1 monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) are powerful tools that can be used to recognize cancer‐related MUC1 molecules, the O‐glycosylation status of which is believed to affect binding affinity. We demonstrate the feasibility of using a rapid screening methodology to elucidate those effects. The approach involves i) “one‐bead‐one‐compound”‐based preparation of bilayer resins carrying glycopeptides on the shell and mass‐tag tripeptides coding O‐glycan patterns in the core, ii) on‐resin screening with an anti‐MUC1 mAb, iii) separating positive resins by utilizing secondary antibody conjugation with magnetic beads, and (iv) decoding the mass‐tag that is detached from the positive resins pool by using mass spectrometric analysis. We tested a small library consisting of 27 MUC1 glycopeptides with different O‐glycosylations against anti‐MUC1 mAb clone VU‐3C6. Qualitative mass‐tag analysis showed that increasing the number of glycans leads to an increase in the binding affinity. Six glycopeptides selected from the library were validated by using a microarray‐based assay. Our screening provides valuable information on O‐glycosylations of epitopes leading to high affinity with mAb. 相似文献
