Silica gels with hierarchical macropores and mesopores have been prepared by inducing phase separation in the alkoxide-based sol-gel system with an addition of alkyltrimethylammonium salt. Narrowly distributed mesopores were observed in the heat-treated gel samples possibly as a result of supramolecular templating of silica oligomers in the reacting solution. The ionic attractive interaction and hydrophobicity of the attached alkyl group cooperatively determined the phase separation tendency. No indication of long-range order of the mesopores was obtained.  相似文献

Summary Flexibility, strength and adsorption inertness of fused-silica capillaries permits their extensive application for the preparation of micro-packed columns in gas chromatography. Decreasing the column diameter (from 0.5 to 0.15 mm) and the diameter of the sorbent particles (from 100 to 5 μm) results in a marked reduction of the height equivalent to a theoretical plate (HETP), as well as in diminishing the dependence of the HETP on the carrier gas flow rate. The chromatographic characteristics of fused-silica capillary micro-packed columns and open-tubular columns are compared. The fused-silica capillary micro-packed column can be used to advantage for performing rapid and trace analyses and have been shown to be adapted for application in gas-solid chromatography. Separation of organic and inorganic compounds on fused-silica capillary micro-packed columns is illustrated by practical examples. Residue mixtures of pesticides in foods which were difficult to separate by packed-column gas chromatography were determined by capillary gas chromatography and electron capture detection. Manual injections of sample and reference standard were made with a 10 μL syringe on a septum-enclosed, split/ splitless inlet system. Optimal peak height repeatability (± 3%( was achieved with three-μL injections which were made within time periods of four hours or less. The average linearity coefficient (slope( obtained for detector response as a function of solution concentration was 1.1.  相似文献

A Chromolith Performance octadecylsilyl (ODS) monolithic silica column (Merck) was compared with a conventional microparticulate ODS-bonded silica column in the high-performance liquid chromatography separation of natural polyprenols. A system comprising two connected monolithic columns afforded an equivalent separation at half the analysis time of the conventional method. Furthermore, ten connected columns achieved a tremendously high-resolution separation, in which the complicated series of homologous polyprenols with geometric isomerism were fully separated.  相似文献

Summary Poly(methyloctylsiloxane) (PMOS), sorbed into the pores of HPLC silica particles by solvent evaporation, can function as a useful stationary phase for reversed-phase chromatography. The present work addresses the question of how the PMOS is distributed in the pores. Measurements of the surface area (BET, N2) of a series of partially loaded samples (0–40% PMOS, m/m) using a typical batch of HPLC silica (10 μm irregular particles with 6 nm pores) show that the specific surface area of the samples decreases linearly with the specific loading (mass of PMOS per gram of silica). This result is not consistent with a “film” model in which the PMOS is deposited uniformly on the pore walls, but is consistent with a model in which long segmented “plugs” of PMOS are deposited within the pore system. Inorganic arsenic was separated using the yeast-immobilized column. Saccharomyces cerevisiae was covalently bonded unto the controlled pore glass, which showed selective preconcentration of As5+ over As3+. The effluent was directly connected to hydride generation (HG) to increase sensitivity. The optimum pH condition for the retainment of arsenic at the column was 7. As5+ and As3+ were completely separated in a few minutes with the flow rate of 1.5 ml min−1. Three molars of nitric acid was adequate both for the elution of As5+ and hydride generation. The accuracy of the technique was tested with NIST SRMs. Quantitative analysis of arsenic species for herbicide, pesticide, and cigarette were performed, and the results showed good agreements with the suggested values. Yeast-immobilized column-HG-ICP showed a promising future for the arsenic speciation study.  相似文献

Sedimentation and drying dissipative structural patterns formed in the course of drying colloidal silica spheres (1.2 μm in diameter) in aqueous suspension have been studied in a glass dish and a polystyrene dish. The broad ring patterns are formed within a short time in suspension state by the convection flow of water and colloidal spheres. The broad ring patterns are not formed when a dish is covered with a cap, which demonstrates the important role of the convectional flow of silica spheres and water accompanied with the evaporation of water on the air-suspension interface. The sedimentary spheres always move by the convectional flow of water, and the broad ring patterns became sharp with time. Broad ring and microscopic fine structures are formed in the solidification processes on the bases of the convectional and sedimentation patterns. Drying patterns of the colloidal suspensions containing sodium chloride are star-like ones, which strongly supports the synchronous cooperative interactions between the salt and colloidal spheres.  相似文献

 采用表面改性法制备了负载型Ni2(OEt)2/SiO2双核金属乙氧基配合物催化剂,利用示差量热、红外光谱和微反技术对催化剂的表面结构、热稳定性、化学吸附性质和催化活性进行了研究.结果表明,负载型双核金属乙氧基配合物Ni2(OEt)2/SiO2中的Ni2+与载体SiO2表面的O2-以双齿配位形式键合;二氧化碳在催化剂表面存在桥式吸附态和碳酸单乙酯基物种两种吸附态,丙烯则只有一种分子吸附态;在适宜的反应条件下,二氧化碳和丙烯在Ni2(OEt)2/SiO2催化剂上的反应产物主要是甲基丙烯酸.根据实验结果,提出了二氧化碳和丙烯在Ni2(OEt)2/SiO2催化剂表面的反应机理,反应物分子共吸附于催化剂表面同一活性单元上,羧酸根和丙烯解离吸附态的形成是反应顺利进行的关键步骤.  相似文献
