For neural networks with all the parameters unknown, we focus on the global robust synchronization between two coupled neural networks with time-varying delay that are linearly and unidirectionally coupled. First, we use Lyapunov functionals to establish general theoretical conditions for designing the coupling matrix. Neither symmetry nor negative (positive) definiteness of the coupling matrix are required; under less restrictive conditions, the two coupled chaotic neural networks can achieve global robust synchronization regardless of their initial states. Second, by employing the invariance principle of functional differential equations, a simple, analytical, and rigorous adaptive feedback scheme is proposed for the robust synchronization of almost all kinds of coupled neural networks with time-varying delay based on the parameter identification of uncertain delayed neural networks. Finally, numerical simulations validate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed technique.  相似文献

To avoid the unstable phenomena caused by time delays and perturbations, we investigate the sufficient conditions to ensure the global exponential robust stability with a convergence rate for the reaction-diffusion neural networks with S-type distributed delays. Because S-type distributed delays lead to some difficulty, we also introduce a new generalized Halanay inequality and a novel method-system-approximation method into the qualitative research of neural networks. Moreover, the sufficient criteria provided here, which are rather accessible and feasible, have wider adaptive range.  相似文献

This paper deals with the construction of a nonstandard numerical method to compute the travelling wave solutions of nonlinear reaction diffusion equations at high wave speeds. Related general properties are studied using the perturbation approximation. At high wave speed the perturbation parameter approaches to zero and the problem exhibits a multiscale character. That is, there are thin layers where the solution varies rapidly, while away from these layers the solution behaves regularly and varies slowly. Most of the conventional methods fail to capture this layer behavior. Thus, the quest for some new numerical techniques that may handle the travelling wave solutions at high wave speeds earns relevance. In this paper, one such parameter robust nonstandard numerical scheme is constructed, in the sense that its numerical solution converges in the maximum norm to the exact solution uniformly well for all finite wave speeds. To overcome the difficulty due to the nonlinearity, the problem is linearized using the quasilinearization process followed by nonstandard finite difference discretization. An extensive amount of analysis is carried out which uses a suitable decomposition of the error into smooth and singular component and a comparison principle combined with appropriate barrier functions. The error estimates are obtained, which ensures uniform convergence of the method. A set of numerical experiment is carried out in support of the predicted theory that validates computationally the theoretical results. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. For an industrial process, the estimation of feeding composition is important for analyzing production status and making control decisions. However, random errors or even gross ones inevitably contaminate the actual measurements. Feeding composition is conventionally obtained via discrete and low-rate artificial testing. To address these problems, a feeding composition estimation approach based on data reconciliation procedure is developed. To improve the variable accuracy, a novel robust M-estimator is first proposed. Then, an iterative robust hierarchical data reconciliation and estimation strategy is applied to estimate the feeding composition. The feasibility and effectiveness of the estimation approach are verified on a fluidized bed roaster. The proposed M-estimator showed better overall performance.  相似文献

在对多通道定位数据进行数据融合中,采用H∞滤波可有效地解决各传感器数据误差模型不确定的滤波和状态估计问题。但由于数据采样时刻及精度的不一致性,对于多通道数据的融合应采用变权融合方式,以提高融合后数据的可靠性。该由此给出了一种基于H∞滤波的变权数据融合计算方法,通过对实测实时数据的仿真计算表明,其方法具有很好的实用性。  相似文献

A novel third‐order calibration algorithm, alternating weighted residue constraint quadrilinear decomposition (AWRCQLD) based on pseudo‐fully stretched matrix forms of quadrilinear model, was developed for the quantitative analysis of four‐way data arrays. The AWRCQLD algorithm is based on the new scheme that introduces four unique constraint parts to improve the quality of four‐way PARAFAC algorithm. The tested results demonstrated that the AWRCQLD algorithm has the advantage of faster convergence rate and being insensitive to the excess component number adopted in the model compared with four‐way PARAFAC. Moreover, simulated data and real experimental data were analyzed to explore the third‐order advantage over the second‐order counterpart. The results showed that third‐order calibration methods possess third‐order advantages which allow more inherent information to be obtained from four‐way data, so it can improve the resolving and quantitative capability in contrast with second‐order calibration especially in high collinear systems. The problem of robust decentralized adaptive synchronization of general complex networks with coupling delayed and uncertainties is investigated in this article. It is only assumed that the upper normal bound of uncertain inner and outer coupling matrices is positive but its concrete structure is not also required to be known. The time‐varying coupling delay is a any nonnegative continuous and bounded function and not require its derivative to be less than one, that is, general time‐varying coupling delays and uncertainties. For such a class of uncertain complex networks, a new synchronization scheme is presented by a class of continuous memoryless robust decentralized adaptive synchronization controllers. It is also shown that the synchronization error dynamics of uncertain complex networks can be guaranteed as uniformly exponentially convergent toward a ball that can be as small as desired. Finally, numerical simulations are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of proposed complex networks synchronization schemes. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A useful application for copula functions is modeling the dynamics in the conditional moments of a time series. Using copulas, one can go beyond the traditional linear ARMA (p,q) modeling, which is solely based on the behavior of the autocorrelation function, and capture the entire dependence structure linking consecutive observations. This type of serial dependence is best represented by a canonical vine decomposition, and we illustrate this idea in the context of emerging stock markets, modeling linear and nonlinear temporal dependences of Brazilian series of realized volatilities. However, the analysis of intraday data collected from e‐markets poses some specific challenges. The large amount of real‐time information calls for heavy data manipulation, which may result in gross errors. Atypical points in high‐frequency intraday transaction prices may contaminate the series of daily realized volatilities, thus affecting classical statistical inference and leading to poor predictions. Therefore, in this paper, we propose to robustly estimate pair‐copula models using the weighted minimum distance and the weighted maximum likelihood estimates (WMLE). The excellent performance of these robust estimates for pair‐copula models are assessed through a comprehensive set of simulations, from which the WMLE emerged as the best option for members of the elliptical copula family. We evaluate and compare alternative volatility forecasts and show that the robustly estimated canonical vine‐based forecasts outperform the competitors. Linear programming models have been widely used in input-output analysis for analyzing the interdependence of industries in economics and in environmental science.In these applications,some of the entries of the coefficient matrix cannot be measured physically or there exists sampling errors.However,the coefficient matrix can often be low-rank.We characterize the robust counterpart of these types of linear programming problems with uncertainty set described by the nuclear norm.Simulations for the input-output analysis show that the new paradigm can be helpful.  相似文献
