Economic manufacturing quantity,optimum process mean,and economic specification limits setting under the rectifying inspection plan

Economic manufacturing quantity, process mean, and specification limits setting are three important methods for the inventory and quality control problems. In the imperfect production system, we usually consider the manufacturing quantity for reducing the inventory cost, determine the process level for reducing the production cost, and select the specification limits for screening the products. In this paper, we propose the above integrated model based on the application of rectifying inspection plan for obtaining maximum expected total profit of product. The asymmetric quadratic quality loss function is adopted for measuring the product quality. The sensitivity analyses of parameters are provided for illustration.

An equity approach to stream water quality management

A model for stream water quality management with particular emphasis on applicability in Turkey is developed via mathematical programming. A new criterion of equity is introduced and the model is formulated as a quadratic programming problem with two objectives, namely equity among dischargers and minimization of total cost. The model is also applied to a hypothetical stream and compared with other more common water quality management programs.     

Completely positive projections on a Hilbert space

The purpose of this paper is to prove that a completely positive projection on a Hilbert space associated with a standard form of a von Neumann algebra induces the existence of a conditional expectation of the von Neumann algebra with respect to a normal state, and we consider the application to a standard form of an injective von Neumann algebra.

物理实验教学改革的回顾与思考

随着高新技术的不断发展，对物理实验课提出了更高的要求。物理实验课程建设中必须做好以下几个方面的工作。建立物理实验的新体系，突出实验素质和能力培养，加强实验的系统性和科学性。加强教材建设，稳定和规范教学秩序是关键。加强师资和实验技术队伍的培养是必要条件。教学实践证明，作好以上几项工作，教学质量得到了不断提高。     

在普通物理实验中贯彻不确定度的概念

本文主要介绍了在普物实验的测量结果中用不确定度来评定测量质量的简化做法。     

X-Ray Tube Voltage Dependence of Wiener Spectra of Screen Structure Mottle Recorded on Front and Back Emulsions

A low-speed screen/film system was used to investigate structure mottle, i.e., the density fluctuation of an x-ray film due to inhomogeneous screen structure. The tube voltage dependence of the Wiener spectra of the structure mottle was separately determined for front and back film emulsions. The Wiener spectral values of the structure mottle of the front emulsion were greater than those of the back emulsion at lower tube voltages. The spectral values of the structure mottle of the front emulsion decreased with tube voltage, while those of the back emulsion increased. We explain these phenomena by the behavior of the Wiener spectra of the relative spatial fluctuation of fluorescence intensity due to following reasons: (1) spatial thickness fluctuation of the screen produces a relative spatial fluctuation of x-ray energy absorbed in the screen, and (2) as the distance between the emulsion of the film and the average position of the x-ray absorption in the screen lengthens, the number of random scattering and absorption of light photons increase.Presented at the International Commission for Optics Topical Meeting, Kyoto, 1994.
