Adsorption Equilibrium and Kinetics of Egg-White Proteins on Immobilized Metal Ion Affinity Gels for Designing Fractionation

Designing an Immobilized Metal ion Affinity (IMA) chromatographic process on large scale demands a thorough understanding to be developed regarding the adsorption behaviour of proteins on metal loaded IMA (IMA-M(II)) gels and the characteristic adsorption parameters to be evaluated. This research investigation illustrates the significance of these aspects for the proposed fractionation of chicken egg-white proteins on these gels. Consequently, a systematic investigation of the adsorption characteristics of three chicken egg-white proteins viz., ovalbumin, conalbumin and lysozyme on Cu(II) and Ni(II) loaded IMA gels, iminodiacetate (IDA) and tris(2-aminoethyl)amine (TREN), has been undertaken. These gels differ in their selectivity towards the proteins of interest under the identical sets of experimental conditions. While TREN-Ni(II) was selective only for lysozyme, IDA-Cu(II), IDA-Ni(II) and TREN-Cu(II) showed varying affinities for all the three proteins. The equilibrium and kinetic data were analysed using various theoretical models and adsorption parameters were quantified. On the basis of these investigations, various strategies have been proposed for the efficient large-scale fractionation of chicken egg-white proteins on these gels.     

The search for a new model structure of β-Factor XIIa

We present the search for a new model of -factor XIIa, a blood coagulation enzyme, with an unknown experimental 3D-structure. We decided to build not one but three different models using different homologous proteins as well as different techniques and different modellers. Additional studies, including extensive molecular dynamics simulations on the solvated state, allowed us to draw several conclusions concerning homology modelling, in general, and -factor XIIa, in particular.     

Toward breast cancer resistance protein (BCRP) inhibitors: design, synthesis of a series of new simplified fumitremorgin C analogues

In this study, we report the design and synthesis of a series of new simplified fumitremorgin C analogues. The preliminary biological study indicated some of these simplified fumitremorgin C might be developed into breast cancer resistance inhibitors.     

Kinetics of thermochemical pretreatment of lignocellulosic materials

The results of an experimental study of the acid hydrolysis of hardwood are presented in the form of values for the three parameters, activation energy, power on the acid concentration, and pre-exponen-tial factor, of the first order kinetic constants for each of the following reaction participants: xylan remaining, glucan remaining, xylose formed, and xylose decomposed. These are used as a base for a quantitative theory to predict the temperature, time, and acid concentrations needed for effective pretreatment of the substrate for subsequent enzymatic hydrolysis of the glucan. This theory is based on the assumption that successful pretreatment requires >90% removal of the xylan, <10% removal of the glucan, and >80% xylose yield. This theory is compared with selected published data.     

Recyclization of 1,4-dihydropyridine derivatives in acidic medium

The recyclization of 1,4-dihydropyridines in aqueous-alcoholic hydrochloric acid medium proceeds with cleavage of a C-N bond and pyridine ring opening. Cyclohexenone derivatives are formed as a result of the subsequent intramolecular crotonic condensation of the acyclic intermediate. The leaving carbonyl substituents depart simultaneously with recyclization, depending on the acidity of the reaction medium. Dedicated to Prof. Dr. E. 胶束溶液中高氯酸二水(四胺)合钴(Ⅲ)配合物催化磷酸二酯水解的研究

本文合成了疏水性高氯酸二水（四胺）合钴（Ⅲ）配合物，研究了它与非离子表面活性剂Brij35形成的金属2胶束催化二（对硝基苯酚）磷酸二酯水解的动力学及其机理。结果表明此金属胶束对磷酸二酯水解的速率大约提高10^4倍，这主要是由于表面活性剂胶束的pH效应和浓聚效应所致，暗示着顺式二水类配合物形成的金属胶束是一个潜在的磷酸二酯水解剪切的催化剂。     

Synthesis and transformations of metallacycles. 23. Cp2TiCl2-Catalyzed cyclometallation of fullerene C60 with EtAlCl2

1-Ethyl-2,3-fullerenoaluminacyclopropanes (EtAl)_n(²-C₆₀) were synthesized by the reaction of fullerene C₆₀ with an excess of EtAlCl₂ in the presence of Mg and using Cp₂TiCl₂ as the catalyst in a THF--toluene solution at 20 °C. Deuterolysis of fullerenoaluminacyclopropanes afforded a mixture of deuteriofullerenes C₆₀D_m, where m = 6--12.     

拟多维高效液相色谱法分离纯化双峰驼精清中的活性蛋白

利用一种新的高效液相色谱洗脱技术，建立了 ｐＨ缓冲液／离子对二元洗脱模式，对双峰驼精清的两种提取物的反相柱上进行了分离，得到了较纯的活性蛋白组分。该法操作简单、快速、比常规ＨＰＬＣ有更高的选择性及峰容量，并可减少活性蛋白的失活。     

1,2,2-Trimethyldisilane-1,1,2-triol: intermediate formation and conversion to condensation products

1,2,2-Trimethyldisilane-1,1,2-triol (1) is formed as an unstable intermediate upon hydrolysis of oligo(trimethyldisilanylsesquiazane). In the absence of trapping agents it undergoes rapid condensation to give ether-soluble poly(trimethyldisilanyloxane) which contains silanol groups. Treatment of the hydrolysis products with chlorotrimethylsilane in the presence of triethylamine affords trimethylsiloxy derivatives, (Me₃SiO)₂MeSiSiMe₂(OSiMe₃),5,6, and [Si₂Me₃O _x (OSiMe₃) _y ] _n . The isolation of these products indicates that disilanetriol1 readily undergoes condensation to form hydroxylcontaining six-membered rings and polysiloxanes. The condensation of compound1 in the presence of Me₃SiOH has been studied. The ratio between the isomeric cyclosiloxanes5 and6 has been determined both by¹H NMR spectroscopy and by a chemical method (chlorinolysis). Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Analysis of Hydrolysis Reaction of N-Phosphoryl Phenylalanine by HPLC-ESI-MS／MS

Hydrolysis procedure of N-phosphoryl phenylalanine (DIPP-Phe) was studied by HPLC-ESI-MS/MS. The results showed that (HO)(i-PrO)P(O)Phe was the main intermediate and the hydrolysis of DIPP-Phe also occurred through a penta-coordinate transition state.
