The formation of a previously unknown crystalline phase was observed in the system Li–Ga–N–O. During the reactions of Ga2O3 with Li3N and of LiGaO2 with Li3N, a new compound with the stoichiometry Li4GaNO2 was formed. The stages in thermal decomposition of the new phase were determined. End-stage renal diseases are affecting many patients and as a result, demand to receive dialysis service is growing annually. Morbidity and mortality rates are reported to be higher in comparison with healthy humans. The reason is reported to be the hemoincompatiblity of blood purification membranes, which hinders patients’ lives. Activation of different immune systems in the body, in case of blood-membrane interaction, results in several side effects, of which cardiovascular shocks have been mentioned to be a major one. Efforts to solve this issue have resulted in different generations of dialysis membranes. Zwitterionic immobilized membranes are the latest (third) generation, which owns a higher degree of hemocompatiblity with more stability of immobilized structures. This critical review intends to cover recent efforts conducted over the zwitterionization of polymeric membrane surfaces with the goal of improving hemocompatibility. Different aspects of third-generation membranes are discussed for a better understanding of the current gap and gathering the knowledge to further develop the field. Accordingly, this critical survey provides an in-depth understanding of blood purification membranes zwitterionization for paving the way for the optimum enhancement of hemodialysis membrane hemocompatibility.  相似文献

This review critically summarises recent novel and advanced achievements in the application of monolithic materials and related porous polymer gels in micro-fluidic devices appearing within the literature over the period of the last 5 years (2005-2010). The range of monolithic materials has developed rapidly over the past decade, with a diverse and highly versatile class of materials now available, with each exhibiting distinct porosities, pore sizes, and a wide variety of surface functionalities. A major advantage of these materials is their ease of preparation in micro-fluidic channels by in situ polymerisation, leading to monolithic materials being increasingly utilised for a larger variety of purposes in micro-fluidic platforms. Applications of porous polymer monoliths, silica-based monoliths and related homogeneous porous polymer gels in the preparation of separation columns, ion-permeable membranes, preconcentrators, extractors, electrospray emitters, micro-valves, electrokinetic pumps, micro-reactors and micro-mixers in micro-fluidic devices are discussed herein. Procedures used in the preparation of monolithic materials in micro-channels, as well as some practical aspects of the micro-fluidic chip fabrication are addressed. Recent analytical/bioanalytical and catalytic applications of the final micro-fluidic devices incorporating monolithic materials are also reviewed.  相似文献

A molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP), which was suitable for recognizing epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), was prepared by using EGCG as template molecule and biocompatible chitosan as a functional matrix in aqueous medium. Molecular recognition ability of the EGCG-imprinted polymer (EIP) was evaluated by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The results show that the EIP has a high imprinting factor (1.32) for EGCG and was used to purify EGCG from crude tea polyphenol efficiently. The percentage of EGCG can be improved from 78.6% in crude tea polyphenol (TP) to 90.1% in product and the adsorption quantity per unit can reach 4.02 mg · g?1. EIP shows potential excellent prospect in the application of separating and purifying EGCG from TP.  相似文献

A novel electroanalytical methodology for the sensing of anticarcinogenic catechin compounds epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) and epigallocatechin (EGC) is presented. The protocol is based on the electrochemical oxidation of aminophenol in aqueous solutions, where the quinoneimine oxidation product chemically reacts with the EGCG or EGC compounds resulting in consumption of quinoneimine and consequently results in a reduction in the magnitude of the quinoneimine reduction wave, which is found to provide an analytical signal from which to indirectly detect EGCG and/or EGC.  相似文献

For two types of electrochemical cells with oxygen-conducting solid electrolytes based on lanthanum gallate (LSGM) and cerium oxide (SDC) studied are the temperature dependences of the polarization conductivity of air electrodes prepared from lanthanum-strontium manganite (LSM) and composites LSM-LSGM, LSM-SDC, and LSM-SSZ (SSZ is zirconium dioxide-based electrolyte). Effect of praseodymium oxide, added into these electrodes as a modifier, on their electrochemical properties is examined. The structure, microstructure, and dielectric and transport properties of (La,Sr)(Ga,M)Oy (M=Mg, Fe, and Ni) ceramic solid solutions have been studied by X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetry, and dilatometry in various gas atmospheres. Enhancement of conductivity and an increase of the thermal expansion coefficient have been confirmed to correlate with an increasing concentration of oxygen vacancies at high temperatures in the samples studied. New effective antioxidants of cis-2,4,5-tris(hydroxyaryl)imidazoline type were assembled from aromatic aldehydes and ammonia. Their antioxidant activity was measured against hydroxyl radical and superoxide radical anion in physiological media, and oxidation potentials were measured by cyclic voltammetry. The lead compound bearing 3,4,5-hydroxyphenyl moieties showed activity 3.5 times higher compared to Trolox.  相似文献

Titanium dioxide nanoparticles were successfully prepared by electrochemical method. The tetra propyl ammonium bromide salt was used as stabilizing agent in an organic medium viz. tetra hydro furan (THF) and acetonitrile (ACN) in 4:1 ratio by optimizing current density. The parameters such as current density, solvent polarity, distance between electrodes and concentration of stabilizers were used to control the size of nanoparticles. The synthesized titanium dioxide nanoparticles were characterized by using UV–Visible spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectrophotometer (EDS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis techniques. TEM analysis proved a nearly tetragonal structure with size of 25–30 nm which was in agreement with the result calculated from the XRD analysis. EDS analysis revealed the presence of Ti and O element. The nanoparticles were screened for their in vitro antibacterial activity against human pathogens such as gram negative Escherichia coli (E. coli), and gram positive Staphylococcus aureus strains and which proved excellent results.  相似文献
