The vibration and vibrational heating of a rectangular prism with copper and polyethylene layers is studied by solving numerically
a coupled problem of thermoelasticity. The cases of kinematic and mechanical harmonic shear loads on a section of the prism
surface are examined. Local heating regions are revealed. They are due to the stress fields in the neighborhood of the points

The ablation processes of Cu film are investigated using temporal shaped femtosecond pulse trains. The depth is modulated by changing the number and interval of the sub-pulses. The underlying ultrafast dynamic processes are discussed based on plasma shielding and electron multiple heating mechanisms. When the sub-pulse interval is less than 0.4 ps electron multiple heating is the dominant mechanism, while the plasma shielding dominates the subsequent ablation processes when the sub-pulse interval is larger than 0.4 ps. The curve of depth obtained by three pulse trains shows more significant oscillation as the function of sub-pulse interval under the low-fluence. We propose that the oscillation of depth is due to the coherent phonon oscillation excited by the pulse train. The study provides a basis for giving insight into the ultrafast dynamics for improving micromachining and nano-fabrications using shaped femtosecond pulse trains. 相似文献

In this study, the convective heating/cooling process assisted by US irradiation is analyzed with the aims of developing a new convective heat transfer correlation. Heat transfer experiments were conducted with different copper machined geometries (cube, sphere and cylinder), fluid velocities (0.93–5.00 × 10−3 m/s), temperatures (5–60 °C), and US intensities (0–6913 W/m2) using water as heat transfer fluid. The Nusselt (Nu) equation was obtained by assuming an apparent Nu number in the US-assisted process, expressed as the sum of contributions of the forced convection and cavitation-acoustic streaming effects. The Nu equation was validated with two sets of experiments conducted with a mixture of ethylene glycol and water (1:1 V/V) or a CaCl2 aqueous solution (30 g/L) as immersion media, achieving a satisfactory reproduction of experimental data, with mean relative deviations of 17.6 and 17.8%, respectively. In addition, a conduction model with source term and the proposed correlation were applied to the analysis of US-accelerated heating kinetics of dry-cured ham reported in literature. Results demonstrated that US improves heating of ham slices because of the increased heat transfer coefficients and the direct absorption of US power by the foodstuff. 相似文献

Well-crystallized Bi2Te3 hollow spheres and nanosaws were prepared by microwave heating. Both the ionic liquid and the microwave heating play important role in the formation of the above nanostructures. Hollow spheres can not be obtained only by electronic stove heating, while the addition of ionic liquid leads to fast preparation of nanosaws structure under microwave heating conditions. The energy transfer to the discharge gas due to various collision processes in the plasma and the heating of the sample are widely known effects in glow discharge (GD) spectroscopy. Despite of the considerable thermal effects and their serious influence on the performance of GD devices, measurements of the discharge gas and sample temperatures are not common at all. The gas temperature depends on the power absorption of the discharge as well as on the temperature of boundaries (sample and anode). In this work the influence of different anode materials in a Grimm-type source on the voltage–current characteristics, crater shapes and GD spectra is investigated. Anodes made of titanium and copper alloys, graphite, and steel with thermal conductivities covering a wide range of values are used. For a fixed voltage and pressure a decrease of the measured current is observed for bad thermal conductive anodes. Cooling of the sample results in an increase of the measured current. Both observations can be explained by changes of the discharge gas temperature. The temperature of the sample is measured from the back side and compared for different anodes. Further, it is found that the choice of the anode material (i) has no significant influence on the crater shape, (ii) results in slightly different sputtering rates and (iii) strong differences of the GD spectra. 相似文献
