We consider the statistical mechanics of the traveling salesman problem (TSP) and develop some representations to study it. In one representation the mean field theory has a simple form and brings out some of the essential features of the problem. It shows that the system has spontaneous symmetry breaking at any nonzero temperature. In general the phase progressively changes as one decreases the temperature. At low temperatures the mean field theory solution is very sensitive to any small perturbations, due to the divergence of some local susceptibilities. This critical region extends down to zero temperature. We perform the quenched average for a nonmetric TSP in the second representation and the resulting problem is more complicated than the infinite-range spin-glass problem, suggesting that the free energy landscape may be more complex. The role played by frustration in this problem appears explicitly through the localization property of a random matrix, which resembles the tight binding matrix of an electron in a random lattice.  相似文献

The forces obtained by inverse methods are prone to errors. These arise due to a combination of errors in the measurements and high condition numbers in the matrix of transfer functions to be inverted. Ill-conditioning of the frequency response function matrix causes measurement errors to be magnified significantly. When the condition numbers are small, the measurement errors simply propagate without much amplification. Due to modal behaviour of the structure, the condition numbers can vary significantly over the frequency range and with the spatial location of the response measurements. The spatial variation can be quite considerable across the structure. The potential for using this characteristic to improve force determination is explored in this paper as an alternative to matrix regularization methods. The aim is to reduce error magnification in inverse methods by an ‘optimal’ spatial distribution of response locations. A method is proposed which is based on the minimization of the average condition number across the frequency range. If many possible locations are available, however, this can involve excessive calculation. An approximate method is therefore proposed which results in consistently good location selection for use in inverse force determination but involves much less computational effort. The error reduction in reconstructed forces is found to be significant in numerical simulations on a simply supported plate and in validation experiments.  相似文献

分别采用最小模型矩阵、最平坦模型矩阵、最光滑模型矩阵作为初始化模型,对加入5种不同水平随机噪声的90 nm窄单峰、90 nm宽单峰和250 nm窄单峰、250 nm宽单峰颗粒体系的模拟分布进行了正则化反演,并对反演结果进行比较。结果表明:当噪声水平为0时,正则化初始模型的选择对反演结果没有明显影响。随着噪声水平的增加,采用三种初始化模型反演得到的峰值误差和粒度分布误差都随之变大,但采用最平坦模型和最光滑模型反演得到的峰值和粒度分布误差明显小于采用最小初始模型的反演误差。当噪声水平大于0.01时,选择最平坦初始模型获得的粒度分布结果优于采用最光滑初始模型和最小初始模型获得的结果,而采用最光滑初始模型反演得到的峰值优于最平坦初始模型和最小初始模型的反演峰值。因此,采用正则化算法处理含噪动态光散射数据时,为得到最优的粒度分布信息,宜采用最平坦初始模型,若需要获取最准确的峰值信息,则应选择最光滑初始模型。  相似文献

In this paper, we present two-level defect-correction finite element method for steady Navier-Stokes equations at high Reynolds number with the friction boundary conditions, which results in a variational inequality problem of the second kind. Based on Taylor-Hood element, we solve a variational inequality problem of Navier-Stokes type on the coarse mesh and solve a variational inequality problem of Navier-Stokes type corresponding to Newton linearization on the fine mesh. The error estimates for the velocity in the $H^1$ norm and the pressure in the $L^2$ norm are derived. Finally, the numerical results are provided to confirm our theoretical analysis.  相似文献

We study the dynamics of the “Kolkata Paise Restaurant problem”. The problem is the following: In each period, N agents have to choose between N restaurants. Agents have a common ranking of the restaurants. Restaurants can only serve one customer. When more than one customer arrives at the same restaurant, one customer is chosen at random and is served; the others do not get the service. We first introduce the one-shot versions of the Kolkata Paise Restaurant problem which we call one-shot KPR games. We then study the dynamics of the Kolkata Paise Restaurant problem (which is a repeated game version of any given one shot KPR game) for large N. For statistical analysis, we explore the long time steady state behavior. In many such models with myopic agents we get under-utilization of resources, that is, we get a lower aggregate payoff compared to the social optimum. We study a number of myopic strategies, focusing on the average occupation fraction of restaurants.  相似文献

A N-body problem “of goldfish type” is introduced, the Newtonian (“acceleration equal force”) equations of motion of which describe the motion of N pointlike unit-mass particles moving in the complex z-plane. The model—for arbitrary N—is solvable, namely its configuration (positions and velocities of the N “particles”) at any later time t can be obtained from its configuration at the initial time by algebraic operations. It features specific nonlinear velocity-dependent many-body forces depending on N2 arbitrary (complex) coupling constants. Sufficient conditions on these constants are identified which cause the model to be isochronous—so that all its solutions are then periodic with a fixed period independent of the initial data. A variant with twice as many arbitrary coupling constants, or even more, is also identified.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a unified finite volume method preserving discrete maximum principle (DMP) for the conjugate heat transfer problems with general interface conditions. We prove the existence of the numerical solution and the DMP-preserving property. Numerical experiments show that the nonlinear iteration numbers of the scheme in [24] increase rapidly when the interfacial coefficients decrease to zero. In contrast, the nonlinear iteration numbers of the unified scheme do not increase when the interfacial coefficients decrease to zero, which reveals that the unified scheme is more robust than the scheme in [24]. The accuracy and DMP-preserving property of the scheme are also veried in the numerical experiments.  相似文献

This paper concerns the reconstruction of a scalar coefficient of a second-order elliptic equation in divergence form posed on a bounded domain from internal data. This problem finds applications in multi-wave imaging, greedy methods to approximate parameter-dependent elliptic problems, and image treatment with partial differential equations. We first show that the inverse problem for smooth coefficients can be rewritten as a linear transport equation. Assuming that the coefficient is known near the boundary, we study the well-posedness of associated transport equation as well as its numerical resolution using discontinuous Galerkin method. We propose a regularized transport equation that allow us to derive rigorous convergence rates of the numerical method in terms of the order of the polynomial approximation as well as the regularization parameter. We finally provide numerical examples for the inversion assuming a lower regularity of the coefficient, and using synthetic data.  相似文献

针对六参数实用黏弹性阻尼耗能结构,基于Davenport风速谱系列响应问题进行了系统的研究.首先,利用六参数黏弹性阻尼器的微分型本构关系,建立了耗能结构基于Davenport风速谱激励下的运动方程;然后,运用复模态法将耗能结构的运动方程由二阶微分方程转化为一阶方程,获得了耗能结构系统对风振激励响应的频域解和功率谱密度函数表达式;最后,利用数学恒等式,基于随机振动理论获得了耗能结构系统在Davenport风速谱激励下的响应和阻尼器受力的解析解.该文方法不仅考虑了结构系统在风振激励作用下全振型展开的结果,表达式较现有结果更为简便,效率及精度更高,且适用于非经典阻尼结构.  相似文献
