A surface plasmon resonance(SPR) sensor with a high-order absentee layer on the top of metallic film is proposed.The performance of the SPR sensor with NaCl, MgO, TiO_2 or AlAs high-order absentee layer is analyzed theoretically. The results indicate that the sensitivity and the full width at half maximum of those SPR sensors decrease with the increasing of the order of absentee layer, but the variation of the figure of merit(FOM) depends on the refractive index of absentee layer.By improving the order of absentee layer with high-refractive-index, the FOM of the SPR sensor can be enhanced. The maximum value of FOM for the SPR sensor with high-order TiO_2(or AlAs) absentee layer is 1.059%(or 2.587%) higher than the one with one-order absentee layer. It is believed the proposed SPR sensor with high-order absentee layer will be helpful for developing the high-performance SPR sensors.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the gravitational quasi-normal modes(QNMs) for a static R~2 black hole(BH) in Anti-de Sitter(AdS) spacetime. The corresponding master equation of odd parity is derived and the QNMs are evaluated by the Horowitz and Hubeny method. Meanwhile the stability of such BH is also discussed through the temporal evolution of the perturbation field. Here we mainly consider the coefficient λ, which is related to the radius of AdS black hole, on the QNMs of the R~2 AdS BH. The results show that the Re(ω) and |Im(ω)| of the QNMs increase together as |λ| increases for a given angular momentum number l. That indicates with a larger value of |λ| the corresponding R~2 AdS BH returns to stable much more quickly. The dynamic evolution of the perturbation field is consistent with the results derived by the Horowitz and Hubeny method. Since in the conformal field theory the QNMs can reflect its approach to equilibrium, so our related results could be referential to studies of the AdS/CFT conjecture. The relationship between λ and the properties of the static R~2 BH might be helpful for the development of R~2 gravitational theory.  相似文献

Within the framework of the method of a density matrix, differential equations are obtained that describe the evolution of the modes of magnetization <Î+>, <Î+ z >, and <Î+ z 2> for a spin system containing a nucleus with a 1/2 spin connected scalarly with the quadruple nucleus of the spin S = 1 in the presence of crosscorrelation between the dipole ISinteractions, anisotropy of the chemical shift of the I and S nuclei, and quadruple interaction of the S nucleus. The equations are used for analysis of the evolution of the intensities of each line in the triplet of the Raman spectrum of the 1/2 spin. Expressions for the times of crossrelaxation and the times of transverse relaxation of each of the lines of the triplet are obtained.  相似文献

Resonant scattering of electromagnetic (EM) waves by small particles is considered as one of the basic problems in metamaterial science. At present, special subwavelength resonators are considered as structural elements in chiral and bianisotropic metamaterials. There is a general consensus that these small scatterers behave like “artificial atoms” with strong electrical and magnetic responses and an interconnection between these responses. However, the observed effect of magnetoelectric (ME) coupling in these meta-atoms is not associated with the near-field manipulation properties caused by intrinsic magnetoelectricity. This arises the question whether ME point scatterers of EM radiation really exist. In this paper, we show that there are mesoscopic structures with electric and magnetic dipole-carrying excitations that behave like point scatterers with their inherent magnetoelectricity. In such subwavelength resonators, coherent oscillations of the electric polarization and magnetization can be considered as quasistatic oscillations described by electrostatic (ES) and magnetostatic (MS) scalar wave functions. The ME resonance effect arises from the coupling of two, ES and MS, oscillations. The near fields of these resonators, called the ME near fields, are characterized by simultaneous violation of time reversal and inversion symmetry. In study of ME fields and EM problems associated with these fields, we put forward the concept of ME-field electrodynamics.  相似文献

A novel bandpass filter(BPF)based on spoof surface plasmon polaritons(SSPPs)using a compact folded slotline structure is proposed and experimentally demonstrated.The proposed novel SSPPs structure compared with a conventional plasmonic waveguide with slot line SSPPs unit structure at the same size,the considerable advantages in much lower asymptotic frequency with tight field confinement,which enable the proposed filter to be more miniaturization.A high-efficient mode conversion structure is designed to transition from TE-mode to SSPPs-mode by gradient slotline lengths.The low-frequency stop-band can be committed with microstrip to slotline evolution on both sides of the dielectric,while the high-frequency cutoff band is realized by the proposed SSPPs structure.The influence of dispersion relation,electric field distribution,surface current,and structural parameters on the transmission characteristics of the proposed BPF are analyzed by finite difference time domain(FDTD).To validate the design concept,the prototype of the miniaturized SSPPs BPF has been manufactured and measured.The experimental results show high performance of the fabricated sample,in which the working in a range of 0.9 GHz-5.2 GHz with the relative bandwidth is 142%,the insertion loss less than 0.5 dB,the reflection coefficient less than-10 dB,and the group delay is less than one ns.This works provides a mirror for realizing the miniaturization of waveguides,and the application and development of high-confinement SSPPs functional devices in the microwave and THz regimes.  相似文献

The effect of local toroidal flow (LTF) on double-tearing modes (DTMs) is investigated in cylindrical geometry using the reduced magnetohydrodynamics (RMHD) model. The results indicate that the LTF between the two rational surfaces is the dominant suppression effect on DTMs. The suppression effect is enhanced with the flow width increasing, and the DTMs become more stable with the increase of the shear of the LTF between the two rational surfaces. So, in the reversed shear magnetic field configuration, the local flow is driven between the two rational surfaces, which can effectively suppress the development of DTMs and maintain the high-performance state.  相似文献

为研究光学微球腔的热光效应,采用1550nm波段可调谐激光器和宽带光源两种泵浦源,分别测量了二氧化硅、碲酸盐玻璃微球及其掺杂了稀土离子的微球在激励光功率、环境温度变化时其谐振峰波长的变化量,得到了二氧化硅微球激励功率灵敏度为32.4pm/mW,温度灵敏度为13.4pm/℃;铥离子的掺杂使激励功率灵敏度达到48.7pm/mW,温度灵敏度达到15.2pm/℃.相应的碲酸盐微球激励功率灵敏度为71.1pm/mW,温度灵敏度为0.0191nm/℃,比光纤光栅温度传感器的灵敏度10pm/℃大了将近1倍,若掺杂了稀土离子,则高1.1倍.本文研究对微腔在温度传感器方面的应用具有参考意义.  相似文献

The near- and far-field properties of a large-scale silver plate with a slit array are studied by applying the FDTD method. The far region scattering properties with different incident angles are also discussed. We find out that the silver plate with a suitable placed narrow slit array can excite the enhanced optical transmission (EOT) by the excitation of the surface plasmon polarition (SPP) and the Fabry-Perot resonance, and the cutoff angle is much larger than the ordinary LEDs. These unique properties suggest possible applications to the light-transparent metal contact.  相似文献

Recent advances in the integrated modeling of ELMy H-mode plasmas are presented. A new model for the H-mode pedestal and for the triggering of ELMs predicts the height, width, and shape of the H-mode pedestal and the frequency and width of ELMs. The model for the pedestal and ELMs is used in the ASTRA integrated transport code to follow the time evolution of tokamak discharges from L-mode through the transition from L-mode to H-mode, with the formation of the H-mode pedestal, and, subsequently, to the triggering of ELMs. Turbulence driven by the ion temperature gradient mode, resistive ballooning mode, trapped electron mode, and electron temperature gradient mode contributes to the anomalous thermal transport at the plasma edge in this model. Formation of the pedestal and the L-H transition is the direct result of flow shear suppression of anomalous transport. The periodic ELM crashes are triggered by MHD instabilities. Two mechanisms for triggering ELMs are considered: ELMs are triggered by ballooning modes if the pressure gradient exceeds the ballooning threshold or by peeling modes if the edge current density exceeds the peeling mode threshold. The BALOO, DCON, and ELITE ideal MHD stability codes are used to derive a new parametric expression for the peeling-ballooning threshold. The new dependence for the peeling-ballooning threshold is implemented in the ASTRA transport code. Results of integrated modeling of DIII-D like discharges are presented and compared with experimental observations. The results from the ideal MHD stability codes are compared with results from the resistive MHD stability code NIMROD.Presented at the Workshop Electric Fields Structures and Relaxation in Edge Plasmas, Nice, France, October 26–27, 2004.  相似文献
