In this article, the tensile strength, impact, and hardness properties of silicon carbide (SiC) reinforced with polyamide 6 (PA6) are described for the first time. The composites were fabricated by an injection molding method using the SiC with varying weight percentages. The tensile and hardness of SiC/PA6 composites showed a regular trend of increasing tensile strength, impact, and hardness properties with varying weight percentages until 10 wt% and impact strength of SiC/PA6 composites increased up to 5 wt% afterwards decreasing the mechanical properties of the composite with greater weight percentages. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) studies were carried out to evaluate the SiC/PA6 interactions. The results related to SiC/PA6 composites were compared with those obtained for pure PA6.  相似文献

将自制的耐高温勃姆石@苯基次膦酸铝杂化阻燃剂(BM@Al-PPi)与市售改性红磷(MRP)复配制得一种可用于半芳香尼龙PA6T/DT(HTN)的耐高温高效阻燃体系.保持阻燃剂15 wt%的总添加量不变时,MRP的添加量仅为5 wt%即可赋予HTN垂直燃烧V-0级别,极限氧指数为29.8%.锥形量热测试及其燃烧残余物研究表明,MRP阻燃HTN材料以气相阻燃作用为主,抑制热释放效果不佳且烟释放明显增加;而BM@Al-PPi的凝聚相交联成炭作用可同时抑制热释放与烟释放.结合裂解气相色谱质谱联用(Py-GC-MS)分析,给出了HTN/BM@Al-PPi/MRP体系的阻燃机理.BM@Al-PPi与MRP结合使得残炭质量显著提高,同时兼具气相作用,达到了较好的阻燃效果.  相似文献

吡咯-咪唑多聚酰胺为一类人工合成的主要由五元杂环化合物N-甲基吡咯(Py)、N-甲基咪唑(Im)和N-甲基3-羟基吡咯(Hp)芳香氨基酸组成的,经酰胺键连接的人工小分子配体.它们具有与天然DNA结合蛋白相媲美的DNA特异性识别和结合能力.近20年来,对此类化合物的研究取得了重要进展,确定了简单的氨基酸对识别碱基对的规则,研究了多种方式连接的吡咯-咪唑多聚酰胺与DNA小沟结合模式,合成了多种双功能吡咯-咪唑多聚酰胺,且吡咯-咪唑多聚酰胺能穿过细胞膜,具有在体内外调节基因表达的作用。  相似文献

The positron annihilation lifetime (PAL) of a series of copolyimides and copolyamides with microphase‐separated structures was measured to investigate the effects of different hard‐segment polymers on the PAL properties of soft‐segment domains of poly(dimethyl‐siloxane) (PDMS) and poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO). The lifetime (τ3) and intensity (I3) of the long‐lived component are given as a function of the PDMS or PEO content for a series of copolymers, of which the density roughly obeys the additive rule except for the PDMS‐segmented copolyamides. The PDMS‐segmented copolyimides and copolyamides show much smaller I3 values than those estimated from the additive rule. The lifetime distribution of the long‐lived component for the PDMS‐segmented copolyamides is composed of two components. The longer‐lifetime component is attributed to pure PDMS domains, and the shorter‐lifetime component is attributed to the polyamide domains, intermediate phases, and PDMS domains containing small amounts of short amide blocks. Despite the high PDMS content, the latter component is rather large. Thus, the positronium formation in the PDMS domains of the copolyimides and copolyamides is effectively reduced. This can be explained by the combination of the difference in the electron affinity of the PDMS and polyimide or polyamide segments and the incomplete phase separation. The PEO‐segmented copolyimides show much smaller I3 values than those predicted from the additive rule. The influence of aluminum borate whiskers upon the morphology of polyamide 6 was studied by wide-angle X-ray scattering and by differential scanning calorimetry. The whiskers did not promote the formation of either the hexagonal γ or the monoclinic β crystalline phase. A new experimental procedure has been devised for the production of very thin polymer layers on the whiskers. In the procedure, styrene co-acrylonitrile polymer is used as a processing aid and is later extracted. The procedure allows for the generation of polyamide layers less than 30 nm thick. Crystallinity in these thin layers was suppressed. An expression has been developed to characterize the crystallinity gradient in the interphase of the whisker surface. The equation shows that the initial 1.4 nm of polymer is fully amorphous and produces excellent evaluations of the crystallinity gradient to layer thicknesses of 70 nm. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Four novel polyamides have been prepared in high yields by the polycondensation reactions of bis(3-carboxyphenyl)- and bis(4-carboxyphenyl)phenylphosphine oxide with 3,3′- and 4,4′-diaminodiphenylsulfone. The thermal properties of these materials were studied using differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis. It was found that the presence of both phosphine oxide and sulfonyl groups within the polymer backbone brought about remarkable modifications in the thermal behavior. Glass transition temperatures 40–50°C lower than those of conventional polyamides i.e., in the range 170–200°C, were recorded. However, we observed greater thermooxidative stability (5% weight loss at >410°C) and high char yield upon prolonged heating at 800°C (20–34%). Also, good solubility in polar aprotic solvents was observed for all polyamides together with some solubility in aqueous solvent mixtures, e.g. tetrahydrofuran/water (95:5). © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

A series of hyperbranched aromatic polyamide copolymers has been prepared and characterized from direct polycondensation of AB2 and AB monomers. Structure of the monomers and the molar ratio of AB2/AB showed strong influence on the properties of resulting copolymers. A small amount of AB2 branching unit improved markedly the solubility of the resulting copolymer. Mark-Houwink parameters of the copolymers were essentially independent of the mole ratio of the monomers. The physical and mechanical properties of resulting copolymers were influenced not only by the mole ratio of monomers, but also by the structure of the monomers employed.  相似文献

Diamine 3,3‐bis[4‐(4‐aminophenoxy)‐3‐methylphenyl]phthalide (BAMP) was derived from the o‐cresolphthalein, and then it was polycondensated with various aromatic dicarboxylic acids and dianhydrides to synthesize polyamides (PAs) and polyimides (PIs), respectively. PAs have inherent viscosities of 0.78–2.24 dL/g. Most of the PAs are readily soluble in a variety of solvents such as DMF, DMAc, and NMP and afforded transparent and tough films from DMAc solutions. The cast films have tensile strengths of 75–113 MPa as well as initial moduli of 1.71–2.97 GPa. These PAs have glass transition temperatures (Tgs) in the range of 242–325°C, 10% weight loss temperatures occur up to 473°C, and char yields are between 57 and 64% at 800°C in nitrogen. PIs were first synthesized to form polyamic acids (PAAs) by a two‐stage procedure that included a ring‐opening reaction, followed by thermal or chemical conversion to polyimides. Inherent viscosities of PAAs are between 0.71 and 1.63 dL/g. Most of the PIs obtained through the chemical cyclodehydration procedure are soluble in NMP, o‐chlorophenol, m‐cresol, etc., and they have inherent viscosities of 0.58–1.32 dL/g. Tgs of these PIs are in the range of 270–305°C and show 10% weight loss temperatures up to 477°C. PIs obtained through the thermal cyclodehydration procedure have tensile strengths of 72–142 MPa, elongations at break of 8–19%, and initial moduli of 1.80–2.72 GPa. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. A new diamine, 2,2-bis[4-(4-aminophenoxy)phenyl]norbornane (BAPN), containing both ether and norbornane cardo groups, was synthesized in three steps started from norcamphor. A series of cardo polyamides were obtained by the direct polycondensation of BAPN and various aromatic dicarboxylic acids in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (NMP) using triphenyl phosphite and pyridine as condensing agents. Polyamides had inherent viscosities in the range of 0.82–1.58 dL g−1, and were readily soluble in polar aprotic solvents such as NMP, N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc) and N,N-dimethylformamide and dimethyl sulfoxide. These polymers were cast in DMAc solution into transparent, flexible, and tough films that were further characterized by X-ray and mechanical analysis. All the polymers were amorphous, and the polyamide films had a tensile strength range of 71–89 MPa, an elongation at break range of 5–9%, and a tensile modulus range of 2.0–2.3 GPa. Polyamides showed glass transition temperatures in the range of 256–296°C as measured by DSC and thermogravimetric analysis indicated no weight loss below 450°C in nitrogen and air atmosphere. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. In the present article, some new events on the surface morphology of the aromatic polyamide thin‐film‐composite (TFC) membranes were demonstrated in conjunction with their inherent chemical nature. In addition, the detailed, quantitative understanding of the microscopic surface features was shown to be essential in controlling the water permeability and eventually developing the high performance membranes. The surface roughness and the surface area were mainly affected by the existence or nonexistence of the crosslinking and/or the free amide groups not pertinent to the formation of the hydrogen bonding, which in turn contributed to the water permeability. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
