Six oil soluble nonionic surfactants with different HLBs have been prepared. Their HLBs situate between 3.9 and 6.7. Transesterification was carried out for glycerol and triethanol amine with oleic acid at different moles to obtain six emusilifiers. They named glycerol momooleate (I), glycerol diooleate (II), glycerol trioleate (III), triethanol amine mono-, di- and tri-oleate (IV), (V,) and (VI). The chemical structure was confirmed using; the elemental analysis, FTIR and 1HNMR. They were evaluated as a primary emulsifiers (PE) for thdrilling fluids (oil base mud) comparing with a currently used primary emulsifier (Fc). The water in oil base mud (w/o emulsions) was prepared. The concentration of emulsifiers and their HLB exhibited interesting rheology properties including shear-thinning behavior, yield value, viscoelastic effects, thixtropy, gel strength, and filtration loss. The rheology properties of such emulsions strongly depended on the average size distribution of the dispersed droplets that could be varied both with the bulk concentration and HLB value of the emulsifiers. The interfacial and surface properties of these emulsifiers suggest that the droplet size of the dispersed phase and bulk concentration are strongly related to the HLB value of emulsifiers. The w/o emulsion (mud formulation) stability is sensitive to the droplet size of the dispersed phase and HLB value of the used emulsifier. Abstract The destruction of the filter for metal determination in atmospheric aerosols is an important step in the analysis. Nowadays the decomposition of this kind of sample has not been completely solved, so it is interesting to study new methods for filter sample attack. In the present work the application of the combustion method in a closed flask for mixed cellulose esters filter decomposition for lead determination is proposed. For this purpose optimum operating conditions as stopper flask design, sample size, flask volume, shaking time and volume and concentration of absorbing solution are established, and accuracy and precision of the proposed method using AAS for the measurements is given. The results obtained by the closed flask combustion are compared with those found by wet attack with HNO3. The method proposed is rapid, has low reagent contamination and no loss of lead by volatilization or by amalgamation occurs. A detailed statistical examination of replicated data used to certify platinum-group elements (PGEs) in environmental reference material BCR-723 is presented. Certification of Pt, Pd, and Rh concentrations in BCR-723 was based on 16, eight, and nine accepted data sets, respectively. Each accepted data set contained six replicated measurements for each PGE, and the statistical properties of these concentration data were examined, i.e. 96 for Pt, 48 for Pd, and 54 for Rh. This level of investigation has received limited attention but is critical in furthering our understanding of PGE variability and representativeness. Concentrations of Pt, Pd, and Rh were shown to differ significantly between accepted data sets. Palladium and Pt differed in their quantification between detection techniques. Additionally, Pd and Pt concentrations varied significantly between laboratories using a similar definitive method (inductively coupled plasma-isotope dilution mass spectrometry). The distribution of Pd concentrations was found to be bimodal, with a secondary population exhibiting a contamination signal of about 15%. The secondary population, not previously reported in BCR-723, is likely a measurement artifact and not due to a nugget effect. Comparisons of BCR-723 with other environmental media from Europe, i.e. airborne particulate matter, tunnel dust, and road-deposited sediment, indicated that Pd is uncommonly low in BCR-723 (6.0?ng?g?1) and is generally not representative in terms of its distribution relative to Pt and Rh. Three different types of simple and low-cost calibration material for the measurement of the metals content of ambient particulate matter (PM) on filters using laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) have been compared: cellulose ester filters spiked with multi-element calibration solutions, pellets of compressed ambient particulate matter certified reference material (CRM), and powdered ambient particulate matter CRM adhered to a surface. Elements determined were As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni, Pb, V and Zn, each at approximate levels of 1000?ng per filter. Blank filters spiked with multi-elemental standards were found to be significantly more reproducible and repeatable than materials based on powdered reference materials. However, a comparison of these spiked filters with real samples of ambient PM showed that the analytical sensitivities obtained per mass of analyte were significantly different. It is concluded that the spiked filters could act as very effective quality control standards correcting, to within 1%, drifts in LA-ICP-MS measurements of up to 10%, or as indirect calibration materials supported by additional measurements using traditional wet chemical techniques. 相似文献

将纸屑、甘蔗渣、木粉、谷壳、垃圾衍生燃料(RDF)五种废弃物进行燃烧,采集其烟气中可吸入颗粒物(PM10)样品并分析,获得了颗粒物中金属元素的质量分数和排放特性,并与其相应的原料和灰烬中的金属元素质量分数比较。结果显示,废弃物燃烧的颗粒物中金属元素的种类与燃烧的物料有关;纸屑的颗粒物中金属元素的质量分数最低,RDF的最高,其余三种生物质废弃物的质量分数较相近;在五种样品中,一些重金属的质量分数很高,比土壤中的质量分数高出很多倍;金属元素在灰烬和颗粒物中的分布情况与金属元素的性质密切相关,且在可吸入颗粒物上有明显的富集。 相似文献

对大气可吸入颗粒物采样器进行改装,建立了垃圾焚烧炉烟气中PM10采样系统,并采集了三家垃圾发电厂焚烧炉排放烟气中的可吸入颗粒物。利用GC-MS对可吸入颗粒物中的16种多环芳烃进行定量研究,获得了多环芳烃的质量分数和浓度,并对不同环数的芳烃进行了比较,分析了不同样品中的多环芳烃的毒性参数。结果表明,颗粒物中的多环芳烃主要集中在4环、5环和6环,3环和2环所占比例较少;与燃煤电厂相比,垃圾焚烧发电厂排放的烟气中多环芳烃的浓度和毒性参数更高。 相似文献

Capillary zone electrophoresis with indirect UV detection was developed for the simultaneous analysis of inorganic anions and organic acids using a mixed solution of 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid and cetyltrimethylammonium hydroxide as the background electrolyte (BGE). The parameters which influence the separation, such as indirect UV detection wavelength, BGE conditions, applied voltage and extraction conditions were investigated. Thirteen inorganic anions and organic acids were detected within 20 min. The calibration curves of each analyte were linear with correlation coefficients greater than 0.991. The relative standard deviations (n = 10) of the peak areas ranged from 0.6% to 3.3%. The detection limits for these species ranged from 0.4 to 1.4 mg/L at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3. The recovery rate of each analyte was more than 80% under optimised extraction conditions, except for nitrite. The proposed method was applied towards the analysis of inorganic anions and organic acids in the atmospheric particulate matter using an Andersen sampler. The particle size of the particulate matter was determined, but not the size of the anions. 相似文献
