Various C1-symmetric chiral tripodal tris(oxazolines) with two different oxazoline units were synthesized from chiral C3-symmetric tris(oxazolines) through an oxazoline exchange reaction with amino alcohols in the presence of zinc chloride. Evaluation of the new oxazolines as chiral molecular receptor showed that some of the receptors have chiral discrimination ability. 相似文献

The serendipitous isolation of an unusual protonated bis(oxazoline) prompted us to discuss the role of H+ on the kinetics and thermodynamics of the equilibrium between its ketimine and enamine forms. X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that the protonated bis(oxazoline) is in the Z-enamine form, the unipositive charge is counterbalanced by [(FeCl3)2O]2− and [FeCl4]− anions. DFT calculation at the BP86/TZVP level showed that relative stability of enamine tautomer versus ketimine tautomer increases with the protonation of the nitrogen atom of the oxazolidine ring. At the same time, the barrier energy of tautomerism decreases. 相似文献

The surface properties and abhesion of both N/Si and U/Si series of random copolymers were studied by contact angle and peel strength measurements. When these copolymers are coated on clean glass slides, the contact angles of water on the polymer films are over 105° for copolymers with less than 50 mol % of Si , and 98-104° for those with more than 50 mol % of Si. All the polymers have similar critical surface energies, 21 dyn/cm (from hydrocarbon probes) and 20 dyn/cm (from EtOH/H2O probes), within the experimental error. This demonstrates that the amide groups in the polymer backbones are buried and all the polymers have methyl surfaces. The copolymers with less than 50 mol % Si (for N/Si copolymers) or 20 mol % (for U/Si copolymers) are stable and show good abhesive properties toward Scotch magic tape at or below 50°C. The peel strengths of Scotch magic tape with the copolymer coated slides rise dramatically as the annealing temperatures approach to the melting points of the polymers. 相似文献

Polymers that possess lower critical solution temperature behavior such as poly(2‐alkyl‐2‐oxazoline)s (PAOx) are interesting for their application as stimulus‐responsive materials, for example in the biomedical field. In this work, we discuss the scalable and controlled synthesis of a library of pH‐ and temperature‐sensitive 2‐n‐propyl‐2‐oxazoline P(nPropOx) based copolymers containing amine and carboxylic acid functionalized side chains by cationic ring opening polymerization and postpolymerization functionalization strategies. Using turbidimetry, we found that the cloud point temperature (CP) is strongly dependent on both the polymer concentration and the polymer charge (as a function of pH). Furthermore, we observed that the CP decreased with increasing salt concentration, whereas the CP increased linearly with increasing amount of carboxylic acid groups. Finally, turbidimetry studies in PBS‐buffer indicate that CPs of these polymers are close to body temperature at biologically relevant polymer concentrations, which demonstrates the potential of P(nPropOx) as stimulus‐responsive polymeric systems in, for example, drug delivery applications. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A thorough experimental and theoretical study of the enantioselective cyclopropanation of alkenes catalyzed by chiral bis(oxazoline)- and azabis(oxazoline)-copper complexes, which comprise a new family of ligands that lack C2 symmetry, has been conducted. Surprisingly high enantioselectivities were observed with some of these ligands, which were rationalized on the basis of molecular modeling studies. The course of the asymmetric induction in connection with ligand symmetry and the implications for supported enantioselective catalysts are discussed. 相似文献
