In connection with studies of technical functionality of lipids in cereals, the aqueous systems of lipids from rye and tri-ticale flour are described and compared to different wheat culti-vars. Rye lipids give a lamellar liquid-crystalline phase with very small ordered regions, and this phase is continuously changed into an L2-phase with increasing water content. Triticale lipids exhibit phase equilibria in between lipids of wheat and of rye. Evidence is given for a significant role of the lamellar liquid--crystalline phase with regard to technical functionality when the cereal flour is worked in water to give a dough.  相似文献

Effects of three organic solvents, viz. methyl cellosolve, acetonitrile, and formamide, on the micellization process of Gemini surfactant pentamethylene-1,5-bis(tetradecyldimethylammonium bromide) aqueous solutions, with the volume percentages of the organic solvents up to 50%, have been investigated conductometrically. The studies were made at different temperatures and the data were used to find out different micellization parameters. From the study, it was observed that, although an increment in the amount of the organic solvents delays the micellization, the increase in the critical micelle concentration (cmc) is comparatively less below 20%(v/v) showing the predominance of water character in the bulk phase at lower compositions of the organic solvents. Applying equilibrium model for micelle formation, various thermodynamic parameters were also calculated from the temperature dependence of the cmc values and the results show that the micellization process becomes less spontaneous as the volume % of the organic solvent increases in the system due to the action of water-organic solvent mixed media as better solvent than pure water (solvophobic effect) for the studied Gemini molecules.  相似文献

A series of anionic N‐acyltaurate surfactants, side chain containing aromatic nucleus (abbreviated as SAATT), were synthesized via Williamson reaction, hydrolyzation, and acylation. Krafft temperatures and surface properties of these surfactants at 30°C, that is, critical micelle concentration, cmc, surface excess concentration, Γmax, surface area demand per molecule, A min, efficiency in surface tension reduction, pC20, effectiveness in surface tension reduction, πcmc, and cmc/C20 parameter were determined. It was shown that these surfactants exhibit good solubility which was confirmed by measuring Krafft temperature. The cmc of SAATT was much smaller than that of conventional surfactants with similar effective carbon numbers, and shifted to lower concentration with increasing hydrocarbon chain length. In addition, the γcmc decreased with decrease in Γmax. The pC20 and the cmc/C20 got larger with the increase in hydrocarbon chain length. From the fluorescence intensity ratios of I 1 (373 nm) and I 3 (384 nm) using pyrene as a probe, it was indicated that the molecules of SAATT formed loose micelles with a broad size distribution.  相似文献

The rheological properties of surfactant solutions are the main parameter that affects the surfactant application. In this work, the rheology of the mixed system 12‐3‐12,2Br?/SDS/H2O was discussed particularly. The relationship between the microstructure of surfactant aggregates and rheology of mixed solutions was explored. It is shown that the rheological properties of solutions have different behaviors at different molar ratio of two surfactants under given total concentration. With the increase of molar ratio (12‐3‐12,2Br?/SDS), the solution change from Newtonian liquid into positive thixotropy then to negative thixotropy, at last turn to positive thixotropy again, and ATPS becomes the dividing line. The difference of rheological properties is the embodiment of difference for surfactant aggregates' microstructures. The cryo‐TEM results shown that the solutions containing aggregates with big size, such as rodlike micelles, multilamellar micelles, show positive thixotropy. However, the solutions containing lamellar micelles or liquid crystal will show negative thixotropy. The positive thixotropy endows the mixied system a potential application in enhanced oil recovery.  相似文献

This article aims to compare the interfacial activities of different kinds of surfactants in the same oil/water system. The anionic surfactants of alkylbenzene sulfonates, the polyoxyethylenated nonionic surfactants, the cationic surfactants of alkyl trimethyl ammonium chlorides, and the zwitterionic surfactants of alkyl hydroxyl sulfobetaines were used, and the interfacial tensions of the surfactant solutions against kerosene at different NaCl concentrations were measured. It is found that the interfacial activities of the alkylbenzene sulfonates are high and ultralow interfacial tensions (<0.01 mN/m) can be obtained at proper salinities. While, the nonionic surfactants have relatively low interfacial activities and the minimum tensions are around 0.01 mN/ms. The salinity scanning curves of the alkylbenzene sulfonates and nonionic surfactants decrease first, then increase, showing their interfacial activities can be changed by the salinity effectively. The cationic and zwitterionic surfactants have very low interfacial activities, of which all the tensions are higher than 0.1 mN/ms and are hard to be changed by the salinity. The experimental results may have important reference values for enhanced oil recovery.  相似文献

This work aims at presenting the viscoelastic behavior of bio‐mimetic monoglycerides used as emulsifier in a mixture made of two non‐miscible liquids, squalene and water. The measurement of the interfacial tension, carried out by the “pendant drop” method in “dynamic” mode, made it possible to characterize these amphiphilic molecules according to the value of their elastic modulus, ?, as well as their relaxation time, τR.

The analysis of these parameters, as well as those developed in the previous publication [L. Blasco et al. (2006) Skin constituents as cosmetic ingredients. Part I: A Study of bio‐mimetic monoglyceride behavior at the squalene‐water interface by the “pendant drop” method in a static mode. J. Dispers. Sci. Technol., 27(6).] shows that the hydrocarbon chain structure, such as its length, the presence of one or more unsaturations, hydroxyl function, affects the behavior of surfactant molecules at the squalene/water interface.  相似文献

Adsorption of Ethoxylated Nonyl Phenol (ENP) surfactant from its aqueous solution onto a commercial tire cutting from different sites. Outer Peristalitic (O.P.), Outer Smouth (O.S.), and Internal Tire (I.T.) is studied after different immersion times, 24, 48, 72, and 144 hrs at 30° C. The adsorption isotherms are determined by a surface tension method. A two stepped L-type isotherm is characteristic below the CMC of ENP; above this concentration the isotherm deviates from the L-type and the slope of the isotherm increases sharply. A Langmuir fit has been found below the CMC of ENP. From the maximum amounts adsorbed at pseudo-plateau (Tmax of the tested samples it was found that the efficiency of adsorption onto the rubber surface decreases in the order, O.P. > O.S. > I.T.  相似文献

A study was carried out on the mechanism of electrical conductivity percolation of H2O/C16EO20/n-butanol/heptane microemulsions. Electrical conductivity, UV-vis spectroscopy and FTIR spectra were used to study the diluted “dry” microemulsions with the mass ratio of C16EO20/n-butanol/heptane = 3:3:4. The results of electrical conductivity showed that the percolation occurred around φw = 20 wt% and the transition of w/o microemulsions to bicontinueous microemulsions happened when φw = 45 wt%. From the UV-vis absorption spectra, it was found that the absorption of methyl orange (MO) in microemulsions shifted red than that of in oil phase, but the maximal absorption peak (λmax) remained unchanged when φw > 20 wt%. It implied that the position of MO solubilized in microemulsions was unvaried after free water appeared in the core. FTIR spectra revealed that the OH band of water in microemulsions moved to high frequency at low φw (< 20 wt%) and became broader at high φw. It indicated that the added water only caused the hydration of EO at low φw, the hydration completed when φw > 20 wt% and then the residual water entered into the core with properties similar to bulk water. The presence of free water as ions exchange medium will cause the electrical conductance increased. The percolation appeared after the hydration of EO completed.  相似文献

The critical micelle concentration (CMC) has been determined for the gemini surfactant trimethylene-1,3-bis(dodecyldimethyl ammonium bromide)12-s-12,2Br?1 by means of electricity conductivity measurements. For the same number of carbon atoms in the hydrophobic chain per hydrophilic head group, geminis have CMC values well below those of conventional single-chain cationic surfactants. The CMC of 12-3-12 reduces with the addition of n-alcohol except ethanol and with the increase of n-alcohol chain length as well as increase of concentration of n-butanol and sodium chloride. Steady-state fluorescence quenching technology has been employed to study the aggregation number of micelle, which increases with increase in the length of n-alcohol. The Kraft temperature measurements also indicate that the stability of solid surfactant hydrate decreases along with the improvement of concentration of n-butanol and sodium chloride.  相似文献

Water soluble nonionic amphiphilic block copolymers based on hydrophilic poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) and hydrophobic poly(propylene glycol) (PPG) were prepared. Poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(propylene glycol)-block-poly(ethylene glycol) copolymers, PEG-PPG-PEG, were prepared in the normal condition. The chemical composition and molecular weights of the prepared copolymers were determined from 1H NMR and GPC techniques. The surface properties of the prepared surfactants were determined by measuring the surface tension at different temperatures. The prepared nonionic surfactants were evaluated as demulsifiers for water in crude-oil emulsions that were pronounced at different ratios of crude oil: water at 318 K and 333 K. The experimental results showed that the dehydration rate of the prepared demulsifiers reached 100% based on demulsifier chemical compositions and concentrations.  相似文献
