The purpose of this study was the evaluation by mechanical testing of the durability of PVC. To that end, the mechanical behavior of PVC was subjected to systematic testing by traction and indentation methods, in order to define the brittle transition in time-temperature space. In a second portion we began a study of the change in the brittle transition by indentation methods after artificial weathering of the PVC.  相似文献

We discuss qualitative aspects of a continuum theory for thin films rigorously derived in [B. Schmidt, On the passage from atomic to continuum theory for thin films, preprint 82/2005, Max-Planck Institut für Mathematik in den Naturwissenschaften, Leipzig]. The stored energy density is examined for convexity properties and limiting behavior under large and small strains. A study of the dependence of the theory on relaxation parameters leads to the result that the scale of convergence used in [B. Schmidt, On the passage from atomic to continuum theory for thin films, preprint 82/2005, Max-Planck Institut für Mathematik in den Naturwissenschaften, Leipzig] is the only scale for which a limiting theory that also accounts for atomic relaxation effects is non-trivial.  相似文献

An efficient methodology for the synthesis of acridinedione derivatives 4a–o has been achieved by one-pot, multicomponent condensation of dimedone 1, various amines 2a–d, and substitute aromatic aldehydes 3a–k, in the presence of the easily available, inexpensive, and nontoxic catalyst vitamin B1 (VB1) as a versatile biodegradable. Synthesis of acridine-type compounds was performed in good yields in water as green solvent. Its high-yield efficiency; clean, ecofriendly, simple workup procedure; and easy purification are regarded as the main advantages of this method besides its green solvent. The synthesized compounds are characterized using spectroscopic analyses (FTIR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and high-resolution mass spectrometry) techniques.  相似文献

High-order flexural theories for short laminated composite beams subjected to mechanical and thermal loading are presented. The formulation allows for warping of the cross-section of the beam and eliminates the need for using arbitrary shear correction coefficients as in other theories. Based on higher-order shear deformation theories, the governing equations are obtained using the principle of virtual work (PVW). The justification for use of higher-order shear deformation theories is established for short and composite beams where cross-sectional warping is predominant.  相似文献

Recently Rizzo studied the Lorentz Invariance Violation (LIV) in a brane scenario with one extra dimension where he found a non-zero mass for the four-dimensional graviton. This leads to the conclusion that five-dimensional models with LIV are not phenomenologically viable. In this work we re-examine the issue of Lorentz Invariance Violation in the context of higher-dimensional theories. We show that a six-dimensional geometry describing a string-like defect with a bulk-dependent cosmological constant can yield a massless 4D graviton, if we allow the cosmological constant variation along the bulk, and thus can provides a phenomenologically viable solution for the gauge hierarchy problem.  相似文献

A straightforward and fully stereoselective synthesis of a new class of peptidomimetics, that is α‐oxo‐γ‐acylaminoamides, was achieved starting from various benzaldehydes by a sequence of 1) an asymmetric organocatalytic Mannich reaction, 2) a Passerini multicomponent reaction, 3) an amine deprotection–acyl migration protocol, and 4) a final oxidation. The whole sequence can be performed without purification of the intermediates and represents the first example of a homo‐Passerini–amine deprotection–acyl migration (PADAM) strategy. Highly stereoselective reduction of the α‐oxo‐γ‐acylaminoamides afforded α‐hydroxy‐γ‐acylaminoamides as well. In some cases both diastereomers were obtained by simply changing the reducing agent. Finally, starting from protected salicylaldehyde, the same sequence, followed by a Mitsunobu cyclization, afforded highly substituted chromanes.  相似文献
