Optical adder/subtractor for two four-bit frequency encoded binary numbers are proposed and designed based on four wave mixing, add drop multiplexing and frequency conversion in semiconductor optical amplifier. The input bits and the control input are intensity-modulated signal of two specific frequencies suitable for optical communication in the C band of wavelength. The device can distinguish negative and positive results and controlled operation are most promising in this proposal. The magnetic entropy change in GdCo13−xSix (x=3.8, 4, 4.1, and 4.2) intermetallic compounds has been investigated by means of magnetic measurements in the vicinity of their Curie temperature. It was found that the magnetic ordering temperatures decrease from 60 K at x=3.8 to 28 K for x=4.2. The magnetic entropy change is calculated from isothermal magnetization versus magnetic field at various temperatures using the Maxwell relation. As a result, the maximum magnetic entropy changes of the investigated compounds, at their Curie temperatures, decrease from 11.5 J/kg K for x=4.2 to 6.86 J/kg K for x=3.8 in a field change of 0-3 T, whereas it decreases from 5.13 J/kg K for x=4.2 to 2.60 J/kg K for x=3.8 in a field change of 0-1 T. Moreover, the maximum value of the magnetic entropy change obtained at a higher field for GdCo13−xSix with x=4 (23.75 J/kg K at 5 T) is comparable to that of various types of compounds with a cubic NaZn13-type structure. Stable isotopes of water, organic micropollutants and hydrochemistry data are powerful tools for identifying different water types in areas where knowledge of the spatial distribution of different groundwater is critical for water resource management. An important question is how the assessments change if only one or a subset of these tracers is used. In this study, we estimate spatial artificial infiltration along an infiltration system with stage–discharge relationships and classify different water types based on the mentioned hydrochemistry data for a drinking water production area in Switzerland. Managed aquifer recharge via surface water that feeds into the aquifer creates a hydraulic barrier between contaminated groundwater and drinking water wells. We systematically compare the information from the aforementioned tracers and illustrate differences in distribution and mixing ratios. Despite uncertainties in the mixing ratios, we found that the overall spatial distribution of artificial infiltration is very similar for all the tracers. The highest infiltration occurred in the eastern part of the infiltration system, whereas infiltration in the western part was the lowest. More balanced infiltration within the infiltration system could cause the elevated groundwater mound to be distributed more evenly, preventing the natural inflow of contaminated groundwater.

In this work,the entropy functions of ideal quantum gases in a three-dimensional harmonic trap are analytically calculated using temperature as an explicit variable.Afterward,the applicability of the analytical formulas is validated by comparison with the numerical calculation.The results illustrate that the obtained functions could be applied for the whole temperature regime with a maximum relative deviation of less than 7.5%in the vicinity of the critical temperature Tcin the case of Bose gases.Meanwhile,for Fermi gases,although the analytical formula fits well at very low-and high-temperature regimes,it cannot be applied at temperature in the range[0.3-0.5]T_F,where T_F is the Fermi temperature.In addition,the consistency between our formulas and classical ones at significantly high temperatures is also discussed. 相似文献

The in vitro protein digestibility (IVPD) of napin was studied using different pretreatment methods, including ultrasound, mixing napin with lactalbumin, and ultrasound-assisted protein mixing. The relationships between IVPD, molecular structure, and disulfide bonds were explored, showing that the IVPD of napin was the highest compared with the control when treated with 40% ultrasound power. When the proportion of napin to lactalbumin was 5:5, a synergistic influence between the two proteins was observed. Further investigation showed that the IVPD of napin was clearly improved by treatment with ultrasound-assisted protein mixing. Compared with the single protein in the control, the β-sheet content in the secondary structure of the mixed protein after sonication was reduced from 45.02% to 37.16%. The ordered protein structure was also disrupted by ultrasound, as supported by fluorescence intensity and surface hydrophobicity analyses. The decreased number of disulfide bonds and conformational changes indicated that the IVPD of rapeseed napin was closely related to the disulfide bond content. This study provides a theoretical basis for improving protein digestibility by combining ultrasound with physical mixing. 相似文献
