Regiospecific Phenyl Esterification to Some Organic Acids Catalyzed by Combined Lewis Acids

A new and efficient method for the preparation of various phenyl esters has been achieved by a simple reaction of an acid with phenol in the presence of anhyd. ZnCl₂ and a catalytic amount of AlCl₃. This combined Lewis acid also catalyzes the selective phenyl esterification to different dioic acids and is very simple and high yielding.     

Aggregation Behavior of Pluronic-L64 in Presence of Sodium Dodecyl Sulphate in Water

The effect of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) on the micellization and aggregation behavior of a poly(ethylene oxide)-block-poly(propylene oxide)-block-poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO-PPO-PEO) amphiphilic copolymer (Pluronic L64: EO₁₃ PO₃₀ EO₁₃) have been investigated by various techniques like, cloud point, viscosity, isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), fluorescence spectroscopy, room temperature phosphorescence (RTP), and small angle neutron scattering (SANS). Addition of SDS in L64 solutions shows mark alteration of different properties. We observed synergistic interaction between SDS and Pluronic L64. The changes in the critical micelle concentration (CMC), critical micelle temperature (CMT), cloud point (CP), micelle size, and shape has been correlated and reported in terms of structure dynamics and mechanics. The ITC titrations have been used to explore the different stages of binding and interactions of SDS with L64. The enthalpies of aggregation for copolymer-SDS aggregates binding, organizational change of bound aggregates, and the threshold concentrations of SDS in the presence of copolymer were estimated directly from ITC titration curves. The effect of temperature on enthalpy values has been reported in terms of different aggregation state. Fluorescence and RTP for L64 were used to investigate the change in micellar environment on the addition of SDS at different temperature. Appearance and shifting of SANS peaks have been used to monitor the size and inter micellar interaction on addition of SDS in L64 solution. Cloud point and viscosity elaborate the penetration of SDS molecule in L64 micelle and hence changing the micellar architect.     

Reactivities of mixed organozinc and mixed organocopper reagents. Part 13 Kinetic study for phosphine‐catalyzed acylation of alkylarylzincs and effect of residual group on the transfer rate of alkyl group

Kinetics of reactions of di‐n‐butylzinc, n‐Bu₂Zn, and mixed n‐butyl(substituted phenyl)zinc reagents and n‐Bu(functional group (FG)?C₆H₄)Zn with benzoyl chloride in the presence of tri‐n‐butylphosphine have been investigated. Reaction rates of transferable n‐butyl group have been determined in tetrahydrofuran at 0 °C to compare the transfer rate of n‐butyl group in homo and mixed diorganozincs. Rate law is consistent with a third‐order reaction, which is first order in diorganozinc, benzoyl chloride, and n‐Bu₃P, and a mechanism was proposed. The lower reaction rate of n‐BuPhZn than that of n‐Bu₂Zn and negative reaction constant in Hammett plot are in accordance with the carbanionic charge of transferable n‐butyl group in the acylation reaction. These findings support the hypothesis that the reaction rate of transferable group, R_T, changes depending upon the residual group, R_R, in R_RR_TZn reagents. Positive numerical splitting method for the Hull and White 2D Black–Scholes equation

We consider the locally one‐dimensional backward Euler splitting method to solve numerically the Hull and White problem for pricing European options with stochastic volatility in the presence of a mixed derivative term. We prove the first‐order convergence of the time‐splitting. The parabolic equation degenerates on the boundary x = 0 and we apply a fitted finite volume scheme to the equation to resolve the degeneracy and derive the fully discrete problem as we also investigate the discrete maximum principle. 在正常金属铁磁绝缘层dx2-y2 idxy混合波超导隧道结中,考虑到铁磁绝缘层的磁散射和界面的粗糙散射效应,运用BogoliubovdeGennes(BdG)方程和BlonderTinkhamKlapwijk(BTK)理论,计算了隧道结中的准粒子传输系数和微分电导.研究表明:(1)磁散射和界面粗糙散射均可以压低电导峰,其中磁散射能使电导峰滑移,而粗糙界面散射却能阻止这种滑移,且两散射的共同作用可抑制由混合波两序参数的幅值比不同所导致的电导峰滑移;(2)随铁磁层离超导表面距离的增加,隧道谱在零偏压处由凹陷变成了零偏压电导峰,继而又演化为凹陷中的中心峰;(3)当铁磁层离开超导表面有若干相干长度时,隧道谱中将呈现一些子能级谐振峰.     

拟线性双曲组一类非局部混合初-边值问题的半整体C1解

在研究拟线性弦振动方程带第三类边值问题的精确边界能控性时,出现了拟线性双曲组一类非局部混合初-边值问题.论文先证明该类非局部混合问题局部C1解的存在惟一性,并考察其存在高度的性质,进而利用一致先验估计证明半整体C1解的存在惟一性,并以此为基础研究相应问题的精确边界能控性,最后为便于应用,将论文的结论写成了可化约方程组的情形.     

Existence of Three Weak Solutions for a Class of Quasi-Linear Elliptic Operators with a Mixed Boundary Value Problem Containing $p(\cdot )$-Laplacian in a Variable Exponent Sobolev Space

In this paper, we consider a mixed boundary value problem to a class of nonlinear operators containing $p(\cdot )$-Laplacian. More precisely, we are concerned with the problem with the Dirichlet condition on a part of the boundary and the Steklov boundary condition on an another part of the boundary. We show the existence of at least three weak solutions under some hypotheses on given functions and the values of parameters.

Syntheses,Structures and Properties of Lanthanide Coordination Polymers Constructed from Mixed Acid

Two new coordination polymers,[Ln(oba)(ox)0.5(H2O)2]n(Ln = Ho(1),Eu(2);H2oba = 4,4?-oxybis(benzoic acid),H2ox = oxalic acid) have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions.According to single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses,complex 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic system,space group P21/c with a = 13.783(2),b =10.0120(15),c = 12.1974(18) ,β = 105.217(2)°,V = 1624.2(4) 3,C15H12O9Ho,Mr = 501.18,Z = 4,Dc = 2.050 g/cm3,F(000) = 964,μ = 4.919 mm-1,λ(MoKα) = 0.71073 ?,GOOF = 1.124,the final R = 0.0239 and wR = 0.0570 for 3310 independent reflections with Rint = 0.0298.Complexes 2 and 1 are isostructural.Oba and ox ligands bridge the Ln(III) ions into 2D layers with(4,4) topology,which are further interlinked into a 3D supramolecular network by hydrogen bonds.TG curves of the two complexes are studied to examine their thermal stabilities.Additionally,complex 2 shows red fluorescence in the solid state at room temperature.
