A major difficulty in the study of large-scale complex systems involving human decision-making with non-linear collective effects is that of obtaining pertinent data at the desired level of detail. A controlled experiment involving real commuters in a hypothetical computer simulated traffic system is described as an alternative approach of conducting observational studies to support the modelling of such complex dynamic interactive decision systems. An overview of the principal characteristics of the traffic system's evolution obtained in this experiment is presented. It is a very complex and time-consuming process to simulate the nuclear reactor neutron spectrum from the reactor core to the export channel by applying a Monte Carlo program. This paper presents a new method to calculate the neutron spectrum by using the convolution technique which considers the channel transportation as a linear system and the transportation scattering as the response function. It also applies Monte Carlo Neutron and Photon Transport Code (MCNP) to simulate the response function numerically. With the application of convolution technique to calculate the spectrum distribution from the core to the channel, the process is then much more convenient only with the simple numerical integral numeration. The identification of key nodes plays an important role in improving the robustness of the transportation network. For different types of transportation networks, the effect of the same identification method may be different. It is of practical significance to study the key nodes identification methods corresponding to various types of transportation networks. Based on the knowledge of complex networks, the metro networks and the bus networks are selected as the objects, and the key nodes are identified by the node degree identification method, the neighbor node degree identification method, the weighted k-shell degree neighborhood identification method (KSD), the degree k-shell identification method (DKS), and the degree k-shell neighborhood identification method (DKSN). Take the network efficiency and the largest connected subgraph as the effective indicators. 在大视场交通监控摄像机的标定中,由于不便于放置大尺寸标定靶标,常采用交通标线构成的特定几何图形替代标定靶标,但许多交通场景仅有一组平行的车道分界交通标线,难以获得传统标定方法所需的标定约束条件。针对此类交通场景,选取两平行交通标线和其中一条线上的三点作为标定参考物,依靠其中一条线上三点在单幅图像中的像素坐标、三点间的两个距离值及平行线间距作为约束条件来完成摄像机的标定。建立了图像坐标系与世界坐标系之间新的换算关系,推导出了摄像机内外参数的求解公式,探讨了旋转角对测量误差的影响。实验结果表明,在约束条件不足的情况下能够获得较好的摄像机参数近似解,沿道路方向上的测距精度优于对比文献的结果,具有标定参考物选取容易、操作简便、几何约束条件少等优点,适用于交通监控系统中大视场摄像机的快速标定场合。 相似文献

This paper describes the formulation of a nonlinear mixed integer programming model for a large-scale product development
and distribution problem and the design and computational implementation of a special purpose algorithm to solve the model.
The results described demonstrate that integrating the art of modeling with the sciences of solution methodology and computer
implementation provides a powerful approach for attacking difficult problems. The efforts described here were successful because
they capitalized on the wealth of existing modeling technology and algorithm technology, the availability of efficient and
reliable optimization, matrix generation and graphics software, and the speed of large-scale computer hardware. The model
permitted the combined use of decomposition, general linear programming and network optimization within a branch and bound
algorithm to overcome mathematical complexity. The computer system reliably found solutions with considerably better objective
function values 30 to 50 times faster than had been achieved using general purpose optimization software alone. Throughout
twenty months of daily use, the system was credited with providing insights and suggesting strategies that led to very large
dollar savings.

A cost–time trade-off bulk transportation problem with the objectives to minimize the total cost and duration of bulk transportation without according priorities to them is considered. The entire requirement of each destination is to be met from one source only; however a source can supply to any number of destinations subject to the availability of the commodity at it. Two new algorithms are provided to obtain the set of Pareto optimal solutions of this problem.
