Monodispersed silica particles up to ca. 1.2 μm in diameter were prepared by hydrolysis of tetraethoxysilane in the presence
of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS). The particle size was increased with an increase of SDS added. The geometrical standard deviation
of the particles was decreased with an increase of SDS. In the earlier reaction stage, double spherical particles by the coalescence
of the particles were frequently observed when large amounts of SDS were added. Particle size was gradually increased after
the coalescence occurred and spherical particles were finally obtained. The results of Nielsen’s chronomal analysis suggest

Designing an Immobilized Metal ion Affinity (IMA) chromatographic process on large scale demands a thorough understanding to be developed regarding the adsorption behaviour of proteins on metal loaded IMA (IMA-M(II)) gels and the characteristic adsorption parameters to be evaluated. This research investigation illustrates the significance of these aspects for the proposed fractionation of chicken egg-white proteins on these gels. Consequently, a systematic investigation of the adsorption characteristics of three chicken egg-white proteins viz., ovalbumin, conalbumin and lysozyme on Cu(II) and Ni(II) loaded IMA gels, iminodiacetate (IDA) and tris(2-aminoethyl)amine (TREN), has been undertaken. These gels differ in their selectivity towards the proteins of interest under the identical sets of experimental conditions. While TREN-Ni(II) was selective only for lysozyme, IDA-Cu(II), IDA-Ni(II) and TREN-Cu(II) showed varying affinities for all the three proteins. The equilibrium and kinetic data were analysed using various theoretical models and adsorption parameters were quantified. On the basis of these investigations, various strategies have been proposed for the efficient large-scale fractionation of chicken egg-white proteins on these gels. 相似文献

Densities of four aqueous NaNO3 solutions (0.100, 0.303, 0.580, 0.892 mol-kg–1 H2O) have been measured in the liquid phase with a constant-volume piezometer immersed in a precision liquid thermostat. Measurements were made at ten isotherms between 292 and 573 K. The range of pressure was 0.1–30 MPa. The total uncertainty of density, pressure, temperature, and concentration measurements were estimated to be less than 0.06%, 0.05%, 10 mK, and 0.014%, respectively. Values of saturated densities were determined by extrapolating experimental P- data to the vapor pressure at fixed temperature and composition. Apparent molar volumes were derived using measured values of density for the solutions and for pure water. The apparent molar volumes were extrapolated to zero concentration to yield partial molar volumes at infinite dilution. The temperature, pressure, and concentration dependence of partial and apparent molar volumes were studied. The hydrothermal syntheses of the alkali metal molybdenum bronzes from starting solids (HxMoO3) with structural affinities to the desired products were investigated. Single-phase potassium blue and red bronzes were prepared by the hydrothermal treatments at around 430 K, and characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, and SEM. The formation processes of these two bronzes during the hydrothermal treatments were found to differ. The blue bronze was formed by a structure-inheriting solid-state route from HxMoO3 with x<0.3, whereas the red bronze was formed for x>0.3 through a solution dissolution/deposition route via the formation of MoO3+MoO2. 相似文献

Modification of transition metal cations to polymer-stabilized Pt colloidal clusters modified with cinchonidine was studied in enantioselective hydrogenation of methyl pyruvate. Compared to the enantiomeric excess (e.e.) value (71.4%) obtained without the presence of metal cations, obvious e.e. enhancement (up to 82.5%) was resulted from the addition of Zn^2 but with a certain decrease in activity. The reaction parameters in the presence of Zn^2 were also studied. It was found that the Pt colloidal catalysts in the presence of metal cations performed very differently from that in the absence of metal cations. 相似文献
