Four new poly(etherimide)s have been synthesized by reaction with commercially available bisphenol‐A‐(diphthaleic anhydride) (BPADA) with four different kinds of diamines, namely 4,4′‐bis(p‐aminophenoxy‐3,3″‐trifluoromethyl) terphenyl,4,4′‐bis(3″‐trifluoromethyl‐p‐aminobiphenyl ether)biphenyl,2,6‐bis(3′‐trifluoromethyl‐p‐aminobiphenyl ether)pyridine, 2,5‐bis(3′‐trifluoromethyl‐p‐aminobiphenylether)thiopene. The poly(etherimide)s are named as 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d, respectively. The synthesized polyimides show good solubility in various organic solvents. The polyimide films had low water absorption of 0.19–0.30% and low dielectric constant of 2.79–3.1 at 1 MHz. These polyimides showed very high thermal stability with decomposition temperature (5% wt loss) up to 522°C in nitrogen. Transparent thin films of these polyimides exhibited tensile strength up to 97 MPa, a modulus of elasticity up to 1.56 GPa and elongation at break up to 20%.  相似文献

In this study a range of wholly aromatic copolyesters based on kink m‐acetoxybenzoic acid (m‐ABA) monomer (33 mol%) and equimolar‐linear p‐acetoxybenzoic acid (p‐ABA), hydroquinone diacetate (HQDA) and terephthalic acid (TPA) monomers (67 mol%) have been synthesized by melt polycondensation reaction process at 280°C and 260°C for different time intervals. Characterization of copolyesters were performed by solution viscosity measurement, wide–angle X‐ray diffraction (WAXD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), hot‐stage polarized light microscopy, proton‐nuclear magnetic resonance analysis (1H‐NMR). According to the results obtained, copolyesters showed thermotropic liquid crystalline behavior in an appropriate temperature range. The copolyesters were prepared in high yields. It was observed that the intrinsic viscosities of the copolyesters are increased regularly with increasing polymerization time and temperature. All the copolyesters were soluble in a trifluoroacetic acid/dichloromethane (30:70 v/v) except the copolyesters which were synthesized at 280°C in 5 h. According to the WAXD results; the degree of crystallinity of copolyesters were found to be between 5–15%. DSC and hot stage polarized light microscopy results showed that all the copolyesters are melt processable and a significant molecular interaction exist in a very broad temperature range (160°C and 165°C) in the nematic mesophase. The Tg values are increased with an increasing polycondensation reaction time and temperature and they were observed between 93–126°C. Fibers prepared by a hand‐spinning technique from the polymer melt exhibit well‐developed fibrillar structure parallel to the fiber axis.  相似文献

The rheological behavior of dope solutions of poly(acrylonitrile‐co‐itaconic acid) or poly(AN‐co‐IA) is important from the point of view of deriving the spinning conditions for good quality special acrylic fibers. The viscosity of the resin dope is dictated by the polymer concentration, molar mass, temperature and shear force. The dynamic shear rheology of concentrated poly(AN‐co‐IA) polymer dope solutions in N, N‐dimethylformamide, in the molar mass (M¯v) range of 1×105 to 1×106 g/mol, was investigated in the shear rate (γ′) range of 1×101 to 5×104 min?1. An empirical relation between η and M¯v was found to exist at constant shear rate. The dope viscosity was dependent on the molar mass and the shear rate at a given temperature (T) and concentration. The polymer molar mass index of dope viscosity (m) was calculated as functions of concentration (c), shear rate and temperature. The m values increased with shear rate and temperature. A master equation relating m, with shear rate and temperature was derived for a given dope concentration. At higher shear rates, m tends to the value of 3.4, which is close to the molar mass index of viscosity reported for molten thermoplastics. m increased significantly with shear rate and nominally with temperature, while an increase in concentration decreased it. The onset of shear thinning of the dope shifted to a lower shear rate regime with an increase in polymer concentration and the molar mass. For a given value of molar mass, the increase in viscosity of the dope solution with polymer concentration was dependent on the shear rate.  相似文献

Six oil soluble nonionic surfactants with different HLBs have been prepared. Their HLBs situate between 3.9 and 6.7. Transesterification was carried out for glycerol and triethanol amine with oleic acid at different moles to obtain six emusilifiers. They named glycerol momooleate (I), glycerol diooleate (II), glycerol trioleate (III), triethanol amine mono-, di- and tri-oleate (IV), (V,) and (VI). The chemical structure was confirmed using; the elemental analysis, FTIR and 1HNMR. They were evaluated as a primary emulsifiers (PE) for thdrilling fluids (oil base mud) comparing with a currently used primary emulsifier (Fc). The water in oil base mud (w/o emulsions) was prepared. The concentration of emulsifiers and their HLB exhibited interesting rheology properties including shear-thinning behavior, yield value, viscoelastic effects, thixtropy, gel strength, and filtration loss. The rheology properties of such emulsions strongly depended on the average size distribution of the dispersed droplets that could be varied both with the bulk concentration and HLB value of the emulsifiers. The interfacial and surface properties of these emulsifiers suggest that the droplet size of the dispersed phase and bulk concentration are strongly related to the HLB value of emulsifiers. The w/o emulsion (mud formulation) stability is sensitive to the droplet size of the dispersed phase and HLB value of the used emulsifier. The results were discussed on the light the chemical structure of the primary emulsifiers and the emulsion ingredients.  相似文献

Colloidal gas aphrons (CGAs) are gas bubbles with diameters ranging from 10 to 100 microns, generated by intense stirring of a surfactant solution at high speed. The surface activity and aggregation behavior of the surfactant affects the size/size distribution, stability, and other physicochemical properties of generated aphrons. Therefore, selection of a suitable surfactant is important for the generation of microbubbles with the desired properties. The goal of this articleis to investigate the potential use of a new plant-derived surfactant as an aphronizer surfactant in preparation of CGA-based drilling fluids for accomplishing desirable rheological and filtration properties. For this purpose, natural surfactant obtained from leaves of special tree, namely, Zizyphusspina Christi and used for preparation of aphron-based fluids. To achieve the research objectives, laboratory tests of suspension generation, microscopic visualization, initial yield, filtration loss, and rheological characterization with varying concentrations of surfactant and polymer were performed. Experimental results demonstrate that newly proposed biosurfactant has a great potential for application in preparation of CGA-based drilling fluids for implementation in petroleum drilling industry.   相似文献

We have studied the interactions between anionic carboxymethyl guar (CMG) and oppositely charged surfactant: dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DTAB), tetradecyltrimethylammonium bromide (TTAB), cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), and gemini surfactants (16-4-16), using rheological measurements. In the present study, two competing forces, electrostatic interaction and hydrophobic interaction, have been identified as important factors. Various types of structure formed on the anionic CMG chains are qualitatively discussed in comparison. For example, C12TAB and gemini surfactant tend to form polymer-bound aggregates, whereas the C16TAB tend to form the polymer-associated architecture. Furthermore, possible mechanisms based on the experimental results to elucidate these interesting phenomena have been proposed and discussed.  相似文献

Five comb-like copolymers derived from oleic acid-maleic anhydride were prepared and then esterified by long-chain fatty alcohol (POMA Cn), where n = 18, 20, 22. These polymers were characterized by FTIR and 1H NMR analysis. The molecular weight was determined by using gel permeation chromatography (GPC). The prepared copolymers were investigated as flow improvers and pour point depressants (PPD) for crude oil. From the evaluation, it was found that, the maximum depression of PP was obtained by (POMA2 C22) with long-chain alcohol (C22–OH) from 27°C to 15°C (ΔPP3000ppm = ?12°C). On the other side, it was remarked that no depression obtained by (POMA2 C18), which esterified by alcohol (C18–OH) at the same condition. The depression of pour point effectiveness was discussed on the light of polymers structure, molecular weights, and their concentrations. By analysis the results of the rheological flow properties, it was found that the POMA2 C22 enhanced the Bingham yield values (τβ). The τβ for crude oil without additives against 15, 27, and 39°C were 0.286, 0.131, and 0.075 Pa respectively, whereas the τβ for the treated crude oil with POMA2 C22 were 0.027, 0.022 and 0.010 Pa at 3000 ppm at the same temperatures. By using the photomicrography analysis, it was found that, the wax morphology was greatly modified to fine dispersed crystals of compact size.  相似文献

We have studied the rheological properties of fumed silica particle-stabilized emulsions. Two particles of different polarity were considered, the first more hydrophilic “Aerosil R7200,” the second more hydrophobic “Aerosil R972.” These particles flocculate and probably form a network at the investigated concentration. The flow curves of emulsions stabilized by a single type of particles exhibit yield stress, shear-thinning behavior and thixotropy. Moreover they display rheological features typical of gels. These features are attributed to strengthening of the particle network by droplets. Moreover the rheological properties of w/o emulsions stabilized by hydrophobic are similar to the ones of o/w emulsions stabilized by hydrophilic particles. The rheological properties of o/w emulsions stabilized by mixtures of hydrophilic and hydrophobic particles have then been studied by keeping the total particle concentration constant and varying the mass ratio between particles. The results show that when the hydrophobic particle concentration increases, the viscosity and stability of emulsions decrease establishing evidence that the network is weakened due to preferential orientation of hydrophobic particles towards the oil phase.  相似文献

Aescin is an important active substance composed of saponin glucosides topical employed in the treatment of inflammatory and edematous conditions. A particular kind of skin care product called α-gel lamellar phases emulsion was developed, containing β-escin. Detailed knowledge of the lamellar phases behavior has been obtained by DSC, rheological measurements and polarized-light optical microscopy. Physical properties of aqueous solutions of hydrophobically modified crosslinked polyacrylic acids change quite extensively as the polymer is charged up. A study is carried out concerning the similarities between two polymer ionization processes, that is, by pH increment and anionic surfactant addition. The two processes charge the polymer by distinctly different mechanisms. At sufficiently high pH the carboxylic groups of the polymer are virtually all ionized and the polymer is, therefore, fully charged. The effective repulsion among the charged groups due to the entropy of the counterions promotes an increased stiffness as well as an expansion of the polymer particles. We investigate here how the ionization and swelling will be if, instead of high pH, the polymer is at low pH conditions but associated to ionic surfactants. Surfactants associate to the polymer both in a noncooperative way by the binding of individual surfactant molecules and in a cooperative way as micelles since the polymer promotes surfactant self-assembly. This binding leads to a highly charged polymer-surfactant complex and leads to an osmotic swelling as well. The swelling and the gelation were monitored by rheology and dynamic light scattering, of polymer solutions by varying the pHs and adding ionic surfactants at low pH. The results show that ionization by surfactants and by pH lead to approximately the same gelation degree, as can be seen by similar viscosity values. Both processes result in dramatic viscosity increases, up to 8 orders of magnitude. More hydrophobic surfactants, with longer alkyl chain, are shown to be more efficient as enhancers of swelling and gelation. The network that is formed at high pH or at sufficiently high concentration of surfactant can be weakened or even disrupted if monovalent or divalent salts are added, demonstrating the role of counterion entropy.  相似文献
