Three series of pressure‐sensitive adhesives were prepared with constant glass‐transition temperature, using emulsion polymerization. The monomers chosen were butyl acrylate, 2‐ethylhexyl acrylate (EHA), methyl methacrylate (MMA), and acrylic acid (AA). Within each polymer series, the proportion of AA monomer was held constant for each polymer preparation but acrylic ester monomer levels were varied. Adhesion performance was assessed by measurement of loop tack, static shear resistance, and through the construction of peel master‐curves. Peel master‐curves were generated through peel tests conducted over a range of temperatures and peel rates and through application of the time–temperature superposition principle. Bulk effects dominated by polymer zero shear viscosity change as AA and EHA levels were varied were attributed to the observed effect on static shear resistance and the horizontal displacements of peel master‐curves. Static shear resistance was found to strongly correlate with log(aC), a parameter introduced to horizontally shift peel master‐curves to form a superposed, “super master‐curve”. An interfacial interaction was proposed to account for deviations observed when loop tack was correlated with log(aC). Surface rearrangements via hydrogen bonding with the test substrate were suggested as responsible for the interfacial interaction. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A field-theoretic representation is presented to count the number of configurations of a single self-avoiding walk on a hypercubic lattice ind dimensions with periodic boundary conditions. We evaluate the connectivity constant as a function of the fractionf of sites occupied by the polymer chain. The meanfield approximation is exact in the limit of infinite dimensions, and corrections to it in powers ofd –1 can be systematically evaluated. The connectivity constant and the site entropy calculated throughout second order compare well with known results in two and three dimensions. We also find that the entropy per site develops a maximum atf1–(2d)–1. Ford=2 (d=3), this maximum occurs atf~0.80 (f~0.86) and its value is about 50% (30%) higher than the entropy per site of a Hamiltonian walk (f=1).  相似文献

用马来酸二丁酯(DBM)为接枝单体,过氧化二枯基(DCPO)为引发剂,对低密度聚乙烯(LDPE)进行了熔融接枝功能化。样品的红外光谱表明接枝反应确已发生。通过对样品中酯基的皂化水解测定产物的接枝率,对产物进行萃取,用凝胶量间接表征产物的交联程度;用溶液的特性粘度从侧面显示样品的支化或降解情况。实验结果表明,产物的接枝率和凝胶量可以通过选择反应条件(温度、时间及反应混合物的组成)来控制;过量的DCPO是引起交联产生凝胶的主要原因;向体系中添加DMF可阻止交联反应的发生,但产物的接枝率也有所下降,以自由基机理对上述结果进行了讨论。  相似文献

采用DSC与WAXD相结合的方法研究了两个系列的无规嵌段共聚酯型热熔粘结纤维的结晶结构并探讨了系列样品的熔融行为.实验表明,以最低熔融温度为界,可将样品分为两组,每组只含一种可结晶单元的结晶.其结构与物理机械性质随该可结晶单元的加入量而有规律的变化.纤维的粘结性能则取决于非晶区结构,非晶区分子链柔性增加,会明显改善粘结效果.  相似文献

Novel polyaryloxydiphenylsilanes with reduced viscosities of 0.31–0.65 dL/g were obtained by the melt polycondensation of dianilinodiphenylsilane with three bisphenols, 2,2-bis (4-hydroxyphenyl)-1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropane, 3 (4-hydroxyphenyl)-1,1,3-trimethyl-5-indanol, and 9,9-bis (4-hydroxyphenyl) fluorene, at 200–320°C in vacuo. These polymers are all amorphous and readily soluble in a wide variety of organic solvents such as chlorinated and aromatic hydrocarbons, cyclic ethers, and polar aprotic solvents. Because of their bulky and/or rigid ring structures, polyaryloxydiphenylsilanes containing diphenylhexafluoropropane, phenylindane, and diphenylfluorene units in the main chain have high glass transition temperatures of 106, 112, and 172°C, respectively. They are thermally stable showing almost no weight loss up to 350°C in air. Colorless, transparent, but brittle films are obtained from these polymers by solution casting. Ultraviolet transmission is sharply cut off by these polyaryloxydiphenylsilane films at ca. 300 nm, and the cut-off wavelength depends on the bisphenols used.  相似文献

总结了聚合物熔体在剪切溶场壁面滑移研究的成果,提出了Z-W模型的物理概念。该模型考虑了界面分子链和固体壁面间解吸-吸附而发生的滑移。界面分子链和内部分子链间解缠-重新缠结而发生的表观滑移以及变形摩擦滑移。在稳态简单剪切流运过程,模型可以化简为应力和应变的二次微分方程,说明了壁面滑移来源于Cohesive滑移和Adhesive滑移两部分,对于自激振荡相关的多重内振荡和多重外振荡进行了归纳,应用统一模型定性地解释了毛细管实验中剪切应力的非线性,瞬态自激振荡、滑-粘转换和鲨鱼皮等现象,在聚合物熔体振动剪切流动(LAOS)中,统一模型可以简化为杜芬方程,通过模拟发现,该模型可解释小应变振幅下振动剪切时的线性流变行为和在大振幅振动流动中的复杂非线性行为。非线性行为与熔体粘弹性以及近壁面界面层的性质有关,统一模型在特殊情况下还可以简化Joshi模型,结构网络模型,Hatzikiriakos或等效的Graham模型,可见,Z-W模型内内涵比较丰富,适用面较广,也从一个侧面说明该模型具有相当的合理性。  相似文献

Cooling a melt of a Bi–Sr–Ca–Cu–O system (Bi:Sr:Ca:Cu = 4:3:3:4 or 2:2:2:4) from 1000°C-1050°C yielded crystals of a new red-colored nonsuperconducting phase, accompanying the superconducting 2212 and 2201 phases. Based on the EPR spectra, it was concluded that copper is univalent in this compound. The new phase has a composition Bi2.2Sr1.6Ca1.3Cu2Ox. The X-ray diffraction pattern has been indexed, and the unit cell parameters of the phase have been determined: space group P2/m, a = 12.93, b = 4.55, c = 10.94 ; = 102.72°.  相似文献

High melt strength polypropylene (HMS-PP) has been recently developed and introduced in the market by the major international producers of polypropylene. Therefore, BRASKEM, the leading Brazilian PP producer, together with EMBRARAD, the leading Brazilian gamma irradiator, and the IPEN (Institute of Nuclear Energy and Research) worked to develop a national technology for the production of HMS-PP. One of the effective approaches to improve melt strength and extensibility is to add chain branches onto polypropylene backbone using gamma radiation. Branching and grafting result from the radical combinations during irradiation process. Crosslinking and main chain scission in the polymer structure are also obtained during this process. In this work, gamma irradiation technique was used to induce chemical changes in commercial polypropylene with two different monomers, Tri-allyl-isocyanurate (TAIC) and Tri-methylolpropane-trimethacrylate (TMPTMA), with concentration ranging from 1.5 to 5.0 mmol/100 g of polypropylene. These samples were irradiated with a 60Co source at dose of 20 kGy. It used two different methods of HMS-PP processing. The crosslinking of modified polymers was studied by measuring gel content melt flow rate and rheological properties like melt strength and drawability. It was observed that the reaction method and the monomer type have influenced the properties. However, the concentration variation of monomer has no effect.  相似文献

The morphology and crystal structure of poly(p-phenylene terephthalate) (PPT), prepared by confined thin film melt (CTFMP) and solution (CTFSP) and bulk solution polymerization, were characterized by transmission electron microscopy, electron diffraction and molecular modeling. The unit cell is monoclinic (P21/a space group) with parameters a =7.89, b = 5.49, c =12.65 A α= γ= 90°,β= 100.33°, density = 1.48 g/cm3, the a, b andβ values differing slightly from those reported previously in the literature. A degree of variation in relative intensities of hk0 reflections in, apparently, untilted [001] ED patterns was observed from a given sample, suggesting some variation in molecular packing. ED evidence was found for a second phase, with [001] appearing the same as for phase Ⅱ of the related poly(p-oxybenzoate) (PpOBA)polymer. CTFMP crystals polymerized above 220°C (up to 370°C) and CTFSP crystals polymerized at 300°C consisted of lamellae 100-200 A thick.  相似文献
