Dilution enthalpies, measured using isothermal flow calorimetry, are reported for aqueous solutions of KOH and CsOH at 300°C and 11.0 MPa, 325°C and 14.8 MPa, and for aqueous solutions of NaOH, KOH, and CsOH at 350°C and 17.6 MPa. Previously collected dilution enthalpies for aqueous solutions of NaOH at 300°C and 9.3 MPa and at 325°C and 12.4 MPa were included when fitting the Pitzer parameters. The concentration range of the hydroxide solutions was 0.5–0.02 molal. Parameters for the Pitzer excess Gibbs ion-interaction equation were determined from the fits of the experimental heat data. Equilibrium constants, enthalpy changes, entropy changes, and heat capacity changes for alkali metal ion association with hydroxide ion were estimated from the heat data. For all systems, the enthalpy changes and entropy changes were positive and had accelerating increases with temperature. The resulting equilibrium constants show significant, but smaller, increases with temperature. 相似文献

The thermal bulk polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) in a wide range of temperatures has been studied using a dilatometric reactor. It is shown that, irrespective of the care taken to purify the MMA, the evolution of the time-conversion curve can be explained only if we account for the presence of an impurity associated with the monomer acting as a free radical initiator. The activation energy for the decomposition of this impurity has been estimated as 98 kJ/mol. Having accounted for this impurity, the activation energy for the real thermal polymerization of the MMA has been estimated to be 75 kJ/mol. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 相似文献

Methylene-bridged ansa-metallocene complexes bearing substituents on the cyclopentadienyl (Cp) and fluorenyl (Flu) moieties, namely methylene[9-(2,7-di-tert-butyl)fluorenyl(2-(1,3-dimethylcyclopentadienyl))]zirconium dichloride (1a) and its analogue, methylene[(9-(2,7-di-tert-butyl)fluorenyl(2-(1-methyl-3-phenyl)cyclopentadienyl))]zirconium dichloride (2a), have been prepared from (2,7-di-tert-butyl)-9-prop-2-ynyl-9H-fluorene (2). This procedure includes the use of 3-bromo-1-propyne which affords the methylene bridging unit by way of an intermolecular Pauson-Khand reaction in which norbornadiene and a pendant alkyne cyclize to form a ring that later becomes a substituted cyclopentadienyl group. Ethylene-norbornene (E-N) copolymerization was then carried out using these new complexes (1a and 1b) in the presence of methylaluminoxane (MAO) as a cocatalyst; these activities can be compared to that of isopropylene[9-fluorenyl-cyclopentadienyl]zirconium dichloride (3a). The activity of catalyst 1a was comparable to that of 3a but much higher than that of 2a. In addition, 1a shows higher norbornene insertion performance, and gives an E-N copolymer with a higher glass transition temperature (Tg) than 2a under identical conditions; both 1a and 2a give a lower Tg polymer than 3a does. 相似文献

The glass-transition temperature (Tg) in mutual binary mixtures of the primary alkanols from methanol throughn-octanol has been measured as a function of composition. For mixtures of the alkanols heavier than ethanol,T
g is found to be a linear function of the number-average molecular length. Methanol and ethanol mixtures show higherT
g values than indicated by this relation. These results are found to be consistent with association of the heavier alkanols into chains of very great length in the supercooled liquid, while ethanol and methanol must form networks with a moderate degree of crosslinking between chains. 相似文献

Glass capillary gas chromatography is a high resolution separation method which allows the qualitative and quantitative analysis of even complex mixtures, which may contain many components–also isomeric–in a wide range of volatilities, polarities and concentrations. The principal limitation of gas chromatographic application is given by an insufficient volatility of the species to be separated. Elevated temperatures have to be applied if the application range is to be extended and to achieve steep peak profiles, i.e. low detection limits at high resolution. The use of elevated temperatures is limited, of course, by the temperature stability of both the solvent (stationary liquid and support) and the solutes. The problems of trace analysis for low volatility compounds at high resolution and its limitational parameters regarding sampling, separation and detection are discussed. The applicability of glass capillary columns in this field is influenced by the following parameters: tailing behaviour; irreversible adsorption of polar and decomposition of unstable solutes; thermal stability of stationary liquid (including the support deactivation); separation efficiency and sample capacity (film thickness). Multidimensional gas chromatography using capillary columns coupled either with a packed or another capilllary column for preseparations may be applied with advantage in the analysis of complex mixtures. 相似文献

ABSTRACT Here we report a new predictive model for autoignition temperature (AIT), an important physical parameter widely used to assess potential safety hazards of combustible materials. Available structure-AIT data extracted from different sources were critically analysed. Support vector regression (SVR) models on different data subsets were built in order to identify a reliable compound set on which a realistic model could be built. This led to a selection of the dataset containing 875 compounds annotated with AIT values. The thereupon-based SVR model performs reasonably well in cross-validation with the determination coefficient r 2 = 0.77 and mean absolute error MAE = 37.8°C. External validation on 20 industrial compounds missing in the training set confirmed its good predictive power (MAE = 28.7°C). 相似文献

A high-powered, microwave-induced nitrogen–oxygen plasma (N2–O2–MIP) generated by using an Okamoto cavity at atmospheric pressure was investigated when the observation height, the flow rate of carrier gas, and the oxygen content were varied as the experimental parameters. The emission characteristics of the plasma were evaluated with regard to the excitation temperature and the intensity ratio of atomic line to ionic line. The excitation temperature of the N2–O2–MIP was in the range of 5100–5700 K when the oxygen content was varied from 0 to 30% at the observation height of 7 mm and the carrier gas flow rate of 0.6 l/min. The intensity ratio of atomic line to ionic line was elevated with an increase in the oxygen content. 相似文献

The present paper reports the results about a study of mechanical, thermal, dynamic mechanical and electrical properties of housing (weather shed) materials for outdoor polymeric insulators. Silicone rubber, ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM) and alloys of silicon-EPDM are known polymers for use as housing in high voltage insulators. The result of dynamical mechanical measurement shows that the storage modulus of blends enhances with increase EPDM in formulation. It can be seen from the result of TGA measurement that initial thermal degradation of silicone rubber improves by the effect of EPDM in blends. The blends of silicone-EPDM show good breakdown voltage strength compared to silicone rubber. Surface and volume resistance of silicone rubber improve by EPDM content. The mechanical properties of EPDM such as strength, modulus and elongation at break improve by silicone. 相似文献
