FTIR measurements of sol fractions were carried out in order to assess side reactions during dicumyl peroxide (DCP) crosslinking of linear low density polyethylenes (LLDPEs) with homogeneous distribution of short chain branching. The changes of methyl and olefinic unsaturation concentration were measured as a function of degree of branching and DCP content. The changes of methyl and vinylidene concentration indicate that the scission probability has greater significance for the samples with initial branch content above 31 CH3/1000 C and increases with increasing DCP concentration. The analysis of trans-vinylene concentration indicates that the probability of disproportionation also increases with increasing DCP content. The changes of methyl concentration in the sol fraction of the sample containing initially ca. 23 CH3/1000 C with increasing DCP content could be interpreted using the dependence of crosslinking efficiency on branch content found previously for some range of branch concentration. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Osmium(II) Phthalocyanines: Preparation and Properties of Di(acido)phthalocyaninatoosmates(II) “H[Os(X)2Pc2?]” (X = Br, Cl) reacts in basic medium or in the melt with (nBu4N)X forming less stable, diamagnetic, darkgreen (nBu4N)2[Os(X)2Pc2?]. Similar dicyano and diimidazolido(Im) complexes are formed by the reaction of “H[Os(Cl)2Pc2?]” with excess ligand in the presence of [BH4]?. The cyclic voltammograms show up to three quasireversible redoxprocesses: E1/2(I) = 0.13 V (X = CN), ?0.03 V (Im), ?0.13 V (Br) resp. ?0.18 V (Cl) is metal directed (OsII/III), E1/2(II) = 0.69 V (Cl), 0.71 V (Br), 0.83 V (CN), 1.02 V (Im) is ligand directed (Pc2?/?) and E1/2(III) = 1.17 V (Cl) resp. 1.23 V (Br) is again metal directed (OsIII/IV). Between the typical “B” (~16.2 kK) and “Q” (~29.4 kK), “N regions” (~34.1 kK) up to seven strong “extra bands” of the phthalocyanine dianion (Pc2?) are observed in the uv-vis spectrum. Within the row CN > Im > Br > Cl, most of the bands are shifted slightly, the “extra bands” considerably more to lower energy in correlation with E1/2(I). The vibrational spectra are typical for the Pc2? ligand with D4h symmetry. M.i.r. bands at 514, 909, 1 173 and 1 331 cm?1 are specific for hexa-coordinated low spin OsII phthalocyanines. In the resonance Raman (r.r.) spectra polarized, depolarized or anomalously polarized deformation and stretching vibrations of the Pc2? ligand will be selectively enhanced, if the excitation frequency coincides with “extra bands”. With excitation at ~19.5 kK the intensity of the symmetrical Os? X stretching vibration at 295 cm?1 (X = Cl), 252 cm?1 (X = Im) and 181 cm?1 (X = Br) is r.r. enhanced, too. The asymmetrical Os? X stretching vibration is observed in the f.i.r. spectrum at 345 cm?1 (X = CN), 274 cm?1 (X = Cl), 261 cm?1 (X = Im) and 200 cm?1 (X = Br).  相似文献

InIII-Phthalocyanines: Synthesis, Properties, and Crystal Structure of Tetra(n-butyl)ammonium-cis-di(nitrito-O,O')phthalocyaninato(2–)indate(III) [In(Cl)Pc2?] reacts with (nBu4N)NO2 in acetone yielding green-blue (nBu4N)cis[In(NO2)2Pc2?], which crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n (No. 14). Both nitrite anions are coordinated as chelating nitrito-O,O'(NO2) ligands to InIII in cis-geometry. Consequently InIII is octa-coordinated within a distorted “quadratic” antiprism and directed towards the Pc2?-ligand. One of the NO2 ligands has equivalent N? O bonds similar to free nitrite, while the other has asymmetric N? O bonds. Both (In,O,N,O) rings are approximately planar with a dihedral angle of 80°. The Pc2? ligand is distorted in an asymmetrically convex manner. Partially overlapping pairs of Pc2? ligands related by an inversion center form double layers, which are separated by layers containing the (nBu4N)+ cations. The cyclic voltammogram shows three electrode processes, which are assigned to the redox pairs: Pc3?/Pc2? (?0.94 V) < InI/InIII (-0.78 V) < Pc2?/Pc? (0.64 V). The UV-VIS-NIR spectra and vibrational spectra are discussed.  相似文献

Expressions for the equilibrium electrode potential of linear N-nuclear complexes with homoredox centers were derived by the theory of the correlated walk as a function of the molar fraction of the oxidized moiety, the nearest-neighbor interaction energies and N. When the interaction energy was large in two-, three- and four-nuclear complexes, the expressions predicted two, three and four voltammetric peaks respectively owing to the formation of mixed valence states. The intuitive extension that the N-nuclear complex might exhibit N peaks was invalid. There were three peaks for any odd number of N. In contrast, four peaks appeared for any even number of N more than 4. For a polynuclear complex with N → ∞, the number of the peaks was reduced to two, as if the complex might be a binucleus. The log plot for the fraction vs. potential curve at large values of N deviated from a straight line. The averaged inverse slope was ca. 90 mV at 25°C. From the concentration distribution of a predominant species varying with the potential, the deviation of the log plot was ascribed to the coexistence of various isomers with different interaction energies. The difference in the voltammetric peak potential was approximately linear with the interaction energy for any N. Approximate equations for the potential difference for N= 2, 3 and 4 were obtained, and were applied to the experimental data available for polyferrocenes.  相似文献

Dynamics and mechanism of proton transfer in a protonated hydrogen bond (H-bond) chain were studied, using the CH(3)OH(2)(+)(CH(3)OH)(n) complexes, n = 1-4, as model systems. The present investigations used B3LYP/TZVP calculations and Born-Oppenheimer MD (BOMD) simulations at 350 K to obtain characteristic H-bond structures, energetic and IR spectra of the transferring protons in the gas phase and continuum liquid. The static and dynamic results were compared with the H(3)O(+)(H(2)O)(n) and CH(3)OH(2)(+)(H(2)O)(n) complexes, n = 1-4. It was found that the H-bond chains with n = 1 and 3 represent the most active intermediate states and the CH(3)OH(2)(+)(CH(3)OH)(n) complexes possess the lowest threshold frequency of proton transfer. The IR spectra obtained from BOMD simulations revealed that the thermal energy fluctuation and dynamics help promote proton transfer in the shared-proton structure with n = 3 by lowering the vibrational energy for the interconversion between the oscillatory shuttling and structural diffusion motions, leading to a higher population of the structural diffusion motion than in the shared-proton structure with n = 1. Additional explanation on the previously proposed mechanisms was introduced, with the emphases on the energetic of the transferring proton, the fluctuation of the number of the CH(3)OH molecules in the H-bond chain, and the quasi-dynamic equilibriums between the shared-proton structure (n = 3) and the close-contact structures (n ≥ 4). The latter prohibits proton transfer reaction in the H-bond chain from being concerted, since the rate of the structural diffusion depends upon the lifetime of the shared-proton intermediate state.  相似文献

The renormalized excitonic method [Hajj et al., Phys Rev B 2005, 72, 224412], in which the excited state of the whole system may be described as a linear combination of local excitations, has been implemented at ab initio level. Its performance is tested on the ionization potential and the energy gap between singlet ground state and lowest triplet for linear molecular hydrogen chains and more realistic systems, such as polyenes and polysilenes, using full configuration interaction (FCI) wave functions with a minimal basis set. The influence of different block sizes and the extent of interblock interactions are investigated. It has been demonstrated that satisfactory results can be obtained if the near degeneracies between the model space and the outer space are avoided and if interactions between the next-nearest neighbor blocks are considered. The method can be used with larger basis sets and other accurate enough ab initio evaluations (instead of FCI) of local excited states, from blocks, or from dimers or trimers of blocks. It provides a new possibility to accurately and economically describe the low-lying delocalized excited states of large systems, even inhomogeneous ones.  相似文献
