Addition of a small amount of polar solvent (i.e., modifier) to CO2 in packed column supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) has shown major improvements in both polar analyte solubility and interaction of the polar analyte with the stationary phase. Recently, the addition of an ionic component (i.e., additive) to the primary modifier by one of us has been shown to extend even further the application of SFC to polar analytes. In this work, the effect of various ionic additives on the elution of ionic compounds, such as sodium 4-dodecylbenzene sulfonate and sodium 4-octylbenene sulfonate, has been studied. The additives were lithium acetate, ammonium acetate, tetramethylammonium acetate, tetrabutylammonium acetate, and ammonium chloride dissolved in methanol. Three stationary phases with different degrees of deactivation were considered: conventional cyanopropyl, deltabond cyanopropyl, and bare silica. The effect of additive concentration and additive functionality on analyte retention was investigated. Sodium 4-dodecylbenzene sulfonate was successfully eluted using all the additives with good peak shape under isocratic/isobaric/isothermal conditions. Different additives, however, yielded different retention times and in some cases different peak shapes.  相似文献

The effects of the pressure drop across the column on retention and efficiency in SFC have been studied. Numerical methods are described which enable the prediction of hold-up time and pressure drop in both packed and open tubular columns. Predictions of both hold-up time and pressure drop are in good agreement with experimental data. The density gradient along the column can be calculated using the numerical methods and a procedure is described which enables the calculation of the overall capacity factors of the solutes from the density profile in the column. Significant variations of the capacity factor are observed along the column. The effect of the density gradient along the column on local diffusivity and dispersion is studied. The column efficiency in systems with significant pressure drops is affected by changes in: the linear velocity of the mobile phase; the diffusion coefficients; and the capacity factors of the solutes along the column. The overall efficiency of the chromatographic system can be calculated if, as is the case for open tubular columns, adequate plate height equations are available.  相似文献

由经碱处理的掺杂态聚苯胺(PAn)制得高介电常数的半导体PAn粒子,将其悬浮于电绝缘油可组成电流变液,讨论了电流变(ER)液的静态屈服应力(τ_s),电流密度等性能与PAn的介电常数(ε_p),导电率(σ),体积分数和应用电场强度的关系。对导电率相同的PAn粒子,用氨水处理的PAn粒子ε_p较用NaOH液处理的高,前者在σ足够低如σ≤1.0×10 ̄(-7)/cm时,ER液的τ_s随偶极系数的平方(β ̄2)的增大而呈现非线性增加;后者ER液的τ_s随β ̄2的增大出现一最大值.结果表明:由聚苯胺粒子可组成高电流变活性的无水ER液.  相似文献

This work describes an electroanalytical investigation of dopamine using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and the graphite–polyurethane composite electrode (GPU). In CV studies, well-defined redox peaks characterize the oxidation process at the GPU electrode, which is indicative of electrocatalytic effects associated with active sites on the GPU electrode surface. A new analytical methodology was developed using the GPU electrode and square wave voltammetry (SWV) in BR buffer solution (0.1 mol L–1; pH 7.4). Analytical curves were constructed under optimized conditions (f=60s–1, Ea=50 mV, EI=2 mV) and detection and quantification limits of 6.4×10–8 mol L–1 (12.1 g L–1) and 5.2×10–6 mol L–1 (0.9 mg L–1), respectively, were achieved. The precision of the method was checked by performing ten successive measurements for a 9.9×10–6 mol L–1 dopamine solution. For intra-assay and inter-assay precisions, the relative standard deviations were 1.9 and 2.3%, respectively. In order to evaluate the developed methodology, the determination of dopamine was performed with good sensitivity and selectivity, without the interference of ascorbic acid in synthetic cerebrospinal fluid, which indicates that the new methodology enables reliable analysis of dopamine.  相似文献

Understanding the correlation between crystal structure and thermal conductivity in semiconductors is very important for designing heat-transport-related devices, such as high-performance thermoelectric materials and heat dissipation in micro-nano-scale devices. In this work, the lattice thermal conductivity ( ) of the cage-like compounds Cu3VSe4 and Cu3NbSe4 was investigated by experimental measurements and first-principles calculations. The experimental of Cu3NbSe4 is approximately 25 % lower than that of Cu3VSe4 at 300 K. The relevant important physical parameters, including the sound velocity, heat capacity, weighted phonon phase space (W), and third-order force constants along with atomic mass were theoretically analyzed. It is found that W is the dominant parameter in determining the , and the other factors only play a minor role. The physical origin is the relatively “soft” lattice of Cu3NbSe4 with heavier atomic mass. This research provides deep insight into the correlation between the thermal conductivity and crystal structure and paves the way for discovering high-performance thermal management device and thermoelectric materials with intrinsically low .  相似文献

In order to increase the biocompatibility and bioactivity of chitosan, hydroxyapatite had been in situ combined into chitosan scaffolds. The bioactivity of the composite scaffolds was studied by examining the apatite formed on the scaffolds by incubating in simulated body fluid and the activity of preosteoblasts cultured on them. The apatite layer was assessed using scanning electronic microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier-Transformed Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and weight measurement. Composite analysis showed that after incubation in simulated body fluid on both of the scaffolds carbonate hydroxyapatite was formed. With increasing nano-hydroxyapatite content in the composite, the quantity of the apatite formed on the scaffolds increased. Compared with pure chitosan, the composite with nano-hydroxyapatite could form apatite more readily during the biomimetic process, which suggests that the composite possessed better mineralization activity. Furthermore, preosteoblast cells cultured on the apatite-coated scaffolds showed different behavior. On the apatite-coated composite scaffolds cells presented better proliferation than on apatite-coated chitosan scaffolds. In addition, alkaline phosphatase activities of cells cultured on the scaffolds in conditioned medium were assessed. The cells on composite scaffolds showed a higher alkaline phosphatase activity which suggested a higher differentiation level. The results indicated that the addition of nano-hydroxyapatite improved the bioactivity of chitosan/nano-hydroxyapatite composite scaffolds. On the other hand, that is to say composition of substrates could affect the apatite formation on them, and pre-loaded hydroxyapatite can enhance the apatite-coating. It will also be significant in preparation of apatite-coating polymer scaffolds for bone tissue engineering.  相似文献

The reaction of C2H6with lattice oxygen, O2- (in the absence of gaseous oxygen), or “adsorbedℍ oxygen (in the presence of gaseous oxygen) over NiMoO4 catalysts has been performed and compared to C3H8 activation. The results obtained indicate that adsorbed oxygen exhibits a higher reactivity to C2H6, while lattice oxygen is more reactive relative to C3H8. Kinetic studies of these two reactions in presence of molecular oxygen have indeed shown that the ethane oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) is dependent on the oxygen partial pressure, whilst on the contrary propane ODH is not. In order to confirm the presence of “adsorbed” oxygen for ethane activation, ODH tests have been performed with N2O. On increasing temperature, the O- adsorbed species enhances the mild oxidation of ethane. The activation energy of ethane consumption EC2H6, relative to propane (EC3H8 = 133 kJ/mol) is 145 kJ/mol. A possible mechanism is proposed for the oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane. This revised version was published online in August 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) was used for the analysis of ethoxylated and propoxylated surfactants. Samples were derivatized to phenylated silyl ethers with a disilazane-chlorosilane mixture. Addition of a phenyl group to the surfactant allowed UV-absorbance detection of each oligomer. Acetonitrile and methanol were evaluated as mobile phase modifiers. Better peak shape was realized with methanol-modified CO2 on an octadecyl silica bonded phase than with acetonitrile-modified CO2. Peak assignments were made via SFC coupled with electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) in the positive ion mode. A sulfonamide-embedded alkyl stationary phase was also evaluated for separation of the derivatized samples. SFC-UV and SFC-ESI-MS data were jointly used for calculation of average molar oligomer values which were then compared to values calculated from 1H NMR data of non-derivatized samples. The derivatization or separation method using the sulfonamide embedded phase required no preliminary cleanup and yielded reproducible oligomer values that were consistent with those of the manufacturer's nominal values.  相似文献

Prostaglandin D2 synthase (PGDS) (beta-trace protein) is a highly abundant cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) glycoprotein. A number of studies have been performed to determine the potential value of this protein for the diagnosis of various neurological disorders. The measurement of total PGDS levels in CSF has proved marginally useful for this purpose, but promising results were obtained while investigating changes in the posttranslational modifications (PTM) pattern. Using 2-DE analysis, we previously showed that PGDS is differentially expressed in ante- and post mortem CSF samples. In the present study, we examined whether the PGDS isoforms may help to distinguish stroke and neurodegenerative disease patients from healthy subjects. The pattern of PGDS PTM was analyzed in CSF from patients with various neurological disorders (n = 44) using IEF/immunoblotting techniques. Strong alterations of this pattern were detected in patients with different forms of degenerative dementia. These findings are consistent with PGDS being altered in some neurological diseases and provide new opportunities for clinical applications.  相似文献
