A new low-cost pH sensor developed by immobilizing a direct indicator dye to porous and transparent acetylcellulose film. This sensor was fabricated by binding α-Naphthyl Red and Alizarine Yellow GG to a cellulose acetate film that had previously been subjected to an exhaustive base hydrolysis. The membranes have good durability (>12 months) and a short response time (<5 s). The method is easy to perform and uses acetylcellulose as a carrier. The reagents used for the activity of the cellulose support are inexpensive, nontoxic, and widely available. The Alizarine Yellow GG sensor can be used for direct determination of pH in alkaline media without any alkaline error. 相似文献

Pilot plant trials were conducted in a corn wet mill with a 7000-L membrane recycle bioreactor (MRB) that integrated ceramic
microfiltration membranes in a semi-closed loop configuration with a stirred-tank reactor. Residence times of 7.5–10 h with
ethanol outputs of 10–11.5% (v/v) were obtained when the cell concentration was 60–100 g/L drywt of yeast, equivalent to about
109−1010 cells/mL. The performance of the membrane was dependent on the startup mode and pressure management techniques. A steady
flux of 70 L/(m2·h) could be maintained for several days before cleaning was necessary. The benefits of the MRB include better productivity;
a clear productstream containing no particulates or yeast cells, which should improve subsequent stripping and distillation
operations; and substantially reduced stillage handling. The capital cost of the MRB is $21–$34/(m3·yr) ($0.08–$0.13/[gal·yr]) of ethanol capacity. Operating cost, including depreciation, energy, membrane replacement, maintenance,
labor, and cleaning, is $4.5–9/m3 ($0.017–$0.034/gal) of ethanol. 相似文献

The use of a C18 reversed phase column with embedded polar groups showed improved separation and recovery of the hydrophobic, membrane associated, penicillin-binding proteins of Bacillus subtilis and their covalently linked complexes. Abstract A nickel(II) [Ni(II)] ion-selective electrode was prepared by incorporating a new N-S Schiff base ligand, glyoxal-bis(S-benzyldithiocarbazate) (GBSB), as a neutral carrier into the PVC matrix. The proposed electrode exhibits an excellent near-Nernstian response for Ni2+ ions, ranging from 2.8 × 10?7 to 1.0 × 10?1 mol/L with a detection limit of 1.2 × 10?7 mol/L and a slope of 31.9 ± 0.3 mV/dec in pH 4.0 nitrate buffer solution at 25°C. It has an appropriate response time and suitable reproducibility and can be used for at least 3 months. The operational pH range of the proposed electrode is 4.0–7.5. The response mechanism is discussed in view of the alternating current (AC) impedance technique. In addition, the electrode was successfully used as an indicator electrode in potentiometric titration of Ni2+ ion and in the direct determination of Ni2+ ion in milk power and chocolate samples. 相似文献

Selective hydrolysis of the protein to peptides, their resolution by chromatography and determination of the amino-acid sequence in individual peptides is one method applied to studies of their modifications and mutations in pathological conditions. The purpose of this work is the determination of the green and black tea effect on peptides and their amino acid contents in integral erythrocyte membrane proteins in ethanol intoxicated rats. It was shown that ethanol intoxication causes a decrease in peptides and their amino acid contents in comparison with the control group. The ingestion of green (black) tea with ethanol partially prevents these ethanol-induced changes. 相似文献

Abstract The assignment of metal complexes to various regimes on the basis of their dissociation kinetics is one type of metal speciation study. The most common scheme, which involves column ion-exchange as a means of separating free metal ions and metals in the form of highly labile complexes from other forms of metals in the sample, is demonstrated to categorize incorrectly stable, charged complexes such as iron(II) and nickel(II) o-phenanthroline as labile. Donnan dialysis is an alternative ion-exchange method for metal speciation studies. Data are provided which demonstrate that the above complexes are correctly assigned by the Donnan dialysis method. The relative labilities of ethylenediamine and triethylenetetramine complexes of iron (II) and nickel (II) are also correctly determined by Donnan dialysis. 相似文献

采用一种颗粒度约为200nm的胶态A型分子筛为晶种源,对晶种层进行特殊的蒸气处理后,进一步采取原位水热晶化法,在多孔氧化铝载体表面制备出A型分子筛膜。膜分子筛以特殊的孪生聚晶形式生长在一起,可有效地消除晶粒间隙,形成致密的分子筛膜层。晶化反应液的碱度对A型分子筛膜的质量影响很大,低碱度更有利于A型分子筛膜的生长。在对分子筛膜进行高温活化处理过程中产生一些缺陷孔,降低了膜气体分离性能。 相似文献
