Formation thermodynamics of binary and ternary lanthanide(III) (Ln = La, Ce, Nd, Eu, Gd, Dy, Tm, Lu) complexes with 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) and the chloride ion have been studied by titration calorimetry and spectrophotometry in N,N-dimethyl-formamide (DMF) containing 0.2 mol-dm–3 (C2H5)4NClO4 as a constant ionic medium at 25°C. In the binary system with 1,10-phenanthroline, the Ln(phen)3+ complex is formed for all the lanthanide(III) ions examined. The reaction enthalpy and entropy values for the formation of Ln(phen)3+ decrease in the order La > Ce > Nd, then increase in the order Nd < Eu < Gd < Dy, and again decrease in the order Dy > Tm > Lu. The variation is explained in terms of the coordination structure of Ln(phen)3+ that changes from eight to seven coordination with decreasing ionic radius of the metal ion. In the ternary Ln3+-Cl–-phen system, the formation of LnCl(phen)2+, LnCl2(phen)+, and LnCl3(phen) was established for cerium(III), neodymium(III), and thulium(III), and their formation constants, enthalpies, and entropies were obtained. Summary This study was aimed at optimizing the separation of non-ionic surfactants, resulting from the condensation of ethylene oxide with natural fatty alcohols in the C16 and C18 range (saturated and unsaturated), and presenting a high degree of condensation, i.e. 20 and 25 ethylene oxide units (Brij 99 and KM 25). The cation exchange stationary phase is a partially ionized silica, conditioned in different ways. We have studied the influence of the nature of cations on the separation selectivity. Cations studied included alkali metals (Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+), alkaline earth metals (Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+, Ba2+), transition metals (Zn2+, Cd2+, Hg2+, Pb2+, Cu2+), and quaternary ammonium (NH

) ions as well as a proton (acetic acid). The influences of ionic strength, pH and addition of cosolvent were examined. A study of the influence of temperature on the system selectivity evidenced a strong interdependance of these two parameters. Among the magnetic metal/semiconductor contacts, the Fe/GaAs system has been widely studied owing to its potential applications in electronic devices. In contrast, there are not many studies concerning the Fe/AlxGa1?xAs contact, and in particular there are no reports concerning the changes induced in the interfacial zone by the presence of Al. In this work, thin polycrystalline iron films were deposited by ion beam sputtering at room temperature on a 300 nm thick Al0.25Ga0.75As layer grown by molecular beam epitaxy onto GaAs(001). X‐ray diffraction analysis showed that the iron films are polycrystalline, and indications of a (002) texture of the film were observed. The fine scale analysis of the interface was achieved by high‐resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) observations, the results of which are compared with the physicochemical information obtained from electron‐induced x‐ray emission spectroscopy, by analysing the Al 3p valence states at the Fe/AlxGa1?xAs interface. The HRTEM experiments on cross‐section samples indicate that the interfacial zone between iron and AlGaAs is limited to <1.5 nm in thickness. X‐ray emission spectroscopy showed the presence of Al atoms in an FeAl‐like environment at the interface, and the existence of wrong bonds and point defects. The estimated width of the perturbed interface (2.0 ± 0.5 nm) is in agreement with the HRTEM results. Copyright © 2003 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

The partial molal volumes of Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, Cl–, Br–, I–, and NO

in DMSO at 25°C have been determined from ultrasonic vibration potential data and density data for solutions of uni-univalent electrolytes. Hepler's semiemprirical equation has been used to split ionic partial molal volumes into geometric and electrostrictive contributions. The results obtained in this work confirm the conclusion of our previous studies, namely, that the contribution of electrostriction is essentially determined by the properties of that layer of atoms, 0.3 to 0.4 nm thick, in contact with the ion and by the degree of steric hindrance of the poles of the dipole of the solvent molecule. On the other hand, the geometric contribution depends on the size of the solvent molecule and also on the arrangement of the solvent molecules about the ions. It is shown that the geometric contribution to the partial molal volume of ions is largely increased when ions cannot come close enough to the poles of the solvent-molecule dipole, owing to steric hindrance. 相似文献

A series of chelating resins, derived from a macroreticular styrene-divinylbenzene (2%) copolymer beads grafted with various poly(ethylene glycols) HO? (? CH2? CH2? O? )n? H(n = 0, 4, 9, 13) and containing thiol groups as chelating functions, have been synthesized in a three-step reaction sequence. The structure of the functionalized resins was confirmed by IR spectrophotometry, elemental analysis, and differential scanning calorimetry. The complexation behavior of these thiol resins was investigated towards Hg(II), Cu(II), and Pb(II) ions in aqueous solution by a batch equilibration technique. The influence of pH on adsorption capacity was also examined. The adsorption values for metal ions' intake followed the order Hg(II) > Cu(II) > Pb(II). The affinity of these polymers towards Hg(II) ions was so high that the total mercury level in the liquid decreased from 20 ppm to below 10 ppb after 2 h of treatment. Bilayers composed of polypyrrole: doped by perchlorate ions (PPy(ClO4) – anion exchanging inner layer) and by dodecyl sulfate ions (PPy(DS) – cation exchanging outer layer) are very effective charge trapping systems that are usually not observed for other bilayers comprised of polypyrrole. Chronopotentiometric experiments carried out for oxidation and reduction showed that the trapping effect in the inner layer resulted from different ion exchange properties of the component polymers, leading to a low permeability of the reduced outer layer towards anions. Estimated diffusion coefficients of Cl? anions in the oxidized and reduced PPy(DS) are in the range of 10?9 and lower than 10?10 cm2 s?1, respectively. The presence of the outer layer limiting the ion transfer was found to be beneficial to improve the signal resolution in amperometric mode of ion sensing within wide KCl concentration range, from 10?5 M up to 3 M. The influence of experimental conditions (film thickness, response time) on optimization of this novel kind of polymeric bilayer ion sensors was studied. 相似文献

为探究稀土氧化物中氟(F)和氯(Cl)元素含量的快速检测方法,通过全自动高温水解仪对氧化镧铈样品进行前处理,并利用氢氧根体系离子色谱仪检测吸收液中F-、Cl-离子的含量,建立了基于全自动高温水解-离子色谱法测定氧化镧铈中的F、Cl元素含量的快速检测方法,该方法有效避免了传统前处理方法过程复杂、分析时间慢、极易受人为干扰的问题。称取0.3g氧化镧铈样品,在氧气流量为300 mL/min,1100 ℃高温下水解燃烧20 min,吸收定容为体积20mL的吸收液,以NAOH(15mmol/L)作为淋洗液,经色谱柱分离,测得F-与Cl-在质量浓度为1.00 mg/L-15.00 mg/L范围内,质量浓度与离子色谱峰面积呈线性关系,相关系数均为0.9999。检出限分别为0.003mg/L和0.12mg/L。全自动高温水解仪联用离子色谱仪检测系统对氧化镧铈中F-的平均加标回收率测定结果为98.4%,标准偏差RSD为0.94%;对Cl-的加标回收率测定结果为97.8%,RSD为2.86%。说明该方法较高准确度及精密度,测试结果准确可靠满足企业和检测机构的测试需求,为稀土氧化中氟、氯元素含量的研究及相关产品的开发提供了理论基础。 相似文献

The traditional method for the determination of protein in food needs the operations of digestion, distillation, absorption, and titration; therefore, it is complicated and time-consuming and requires professional personnel. Is there a more convenient and faster detection method that can directly determine the ammonium ions in protein digestion solution to obtain the protein content of food and avoid the distillation–absorption–titration process? The feasibility of water ammonium ion test kits for food protein rapid detection was discussed here. After digestion, the protein in food transforms into ammonium ions in the digestion solution. Because of the variety of food, there are many different inorganic ions left in the food digestion solution, and at the same time, digestion agents are added in the digestion process and become potential interference factors in ammonium determination. Therefore, the detection accuracy of ammonium test kits needs to be evaluated first, including their anti-interference ability. The standard curve of ammonium was established by the test kit. When the ammonium concentration was 0.00–2.50 mg/L, the absorbance at 620 nm was linearly related to the ammonium concentration, the determination coefficient R2 was 0.9995, and the detection limit of this method was 0.01 mg/L. The influences of temperature, pH value, and reaction time on the test kit method were discussed. The precision was 0.90–3.33%; the repeatability was 1.71–4.86%; and the recovery rate of tap water, river water, and sea water was controlled within 90–103%. The anti-interference ability of the evaluated test kit was better than that of the national standard detection method. The test kit, combined with sample pretreatment and protein conversion formula, was used to detect protein in different types of food (milk powder, rice flour, wheat flour, soy, banana, milk, fish food, chicken food, and dog food). The results showed that there were no significant differences (ρ > 0.05) between the national method and the test kit method. The ammonium ion test kit method shortened the determination time and had higher sensitivity, showing its potential for the rapid determination of food protein. 相似文献
