Here, we present just a collection of beans (JACOB): an integrated batch‐based framework designed for the rapid development of computational chemistry applications. The framework expedites developer productivity by handling the generic infrastructure tier, and can be easily extended by user‐specific scientific code. Paradigms from enterprise software engineering were rigorously applied to create a scalable, testable, secure, and robust framework. A centralized web application is used to configure and control the operation of the framework. The application‐programming interface provides a set of generic tools for processing large‐scale noninteractive jobs (e.g., systematic studies), or for coordinating systems integration (e.g., complex workflows). Membrane technology is becoming more important for CO 2 separation from natural gas in the new era due to its process simplicity,relative ease of operation and control,compact,and easy to scale up as compared with conventional processes.Conventional processes such as absorption and adsorption for CO 2 separation from natural gas are generally more energy demanding and costly for both operation and maintenance.Polymeric membranes are the current commercial membranes used for CO 2 separation from natural gas.However,polymeric membranes possess drawbacks such as low permeability and selectivity,plasticization at high temperatures,as well as insufficient thermal and chemical stability.The shortcomings of commercial polymeric membranes have motivated researchers to opt for other alternatives,especially inorganic membranes due to their higher thermal stability,good chemical resistance to solvents,high mechanical strength and long lifetime.Surface modifications can be utilized in inorganic membranes to further enhance the selectivity,permeability or catalytic activities of the membrane.This paper is to provide a comprehensive review on gas separation,comparing membrane technology with other conventional methods of recovering CO 2 from natural gas,challenges of current commercial polymeric membranes and inorganic membranes for CO 2 removal and membrane surface modification for improved selectivity. 相似文献

Thixotropic materials are widely used in a variety of industrial applications. The constitutive relations to describe these materials are based on one-dimensional experiments in which the material is subjected to a shear motion and there is no unique methodology to obtain proper three-dimensional models. The path towards generalization to a three-dimensional framework is invariably carried out in a ad hoc manner. Here we propose a three-dimensional model that stems from a general thermodynamic framework that has proved to be quite robust in the development of constitutive relations, namely the application of the second law of thermodynamics together with the maximization of the entropy production. This leads to a constitutive equation that has the same form of a generalized Upper Convected Maxwell equation, if we require that changes of microstructure due to the deformation of each Maxwell element that comprises the model are reversible. Changes in microstructure are governed by a potential that is a measure of the difference between the current structure and the equilibrium structure associated with it. The equilibrium structure associated with the current structure is determined by the current value of stress, considered the main break up agent. We assume that the state of equilibrium would be achieved in a Motion With Constant Stress History, starting from the current stress state, until a steady state where the kinematics is not changing. 相似文献

A synthetic strategy to polydimethylsiloxanes and polymethylsiloxanes containing thiol functions as end‐ or side‐groups, respectively, is presented. Such polymers are important starting materials for elastomeric networks and postpolymerization modifications. The synthesis starts either with vinyl end‐functionalized polydimethylsiloxanes or with polymethylvinylsiloxanes. The vinyl groups are reacted either with thioacetic acid or with a thioacetic acid/butanethiol mixture via a UV‐initiated thiol‐ene reaction to form the respective thioester quantitatively within few minutes. The thioesters are subsequently deprotected to the respective thiols by reduction with LiAlH4. The aim of this study was to introduce a non-formaldehyde inorganic–organic hybrid sol–gel flame-retardant precursor (SiOP) containing phosphorous, nitrogen, and silicon and to compare its functional properties with those of the conventional formaldehyde-containing organic flame-retardant agent, organophosphonate (OP). SiOP was used at concentrations of 2%, 4%, and 8%, and OP was used at a concentration of 200 g/dm3. Both agents were applied to 100% cotton (CO) woven fabric by the pad-dry-cure method under the appropriate conditions. The presence of the SiOP and OP coatings on the CO fabric was confirmed by scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. The results of the vertical tests of flammability and the thermogravimetric analyses showed that the presence of the SiOP coating changed the thermal degradation pathway of the CO fabric and resulted in an increase in the thermo-oxidative stability of the cellulose fibres. The thermo-oxidative stability was enhanced by the addition of higher amount of dry solids. At comparable dry solids contents, OP preserved significantly greater flame retardancy and thermo-oxidative stability than did SiOP. These results indicated that the SiOP precursor could not act as an effective alternative to the OP agent in the flame-retardant protection of CO fabric. 相似文献
