Simple and accurate integral equation formulation using a three dimensional finite element (3DFEM) to determine the propagation of microwave passive structures is presented. This technique is applied to solve the scattering problems due to various forms of irises in lossless rectangular waveguide.The analysis of these components is highly dependent of the numbers of modes considered in the neighbourhood of the discontinuity. We investigate connections between the syntactic and semantic distance of programs on an abstract, recursion theoretic level. For a certain rather restrictive notion of interdependency of the two kinds of distances, there remain only few and “unnatural” numberings allowing such close relationship. Weakening the requirements leads to the discovery of universal metrics such that for an arbitrary recursively enumerable family of functions a numbering compatible with such a metric can uniformly be constructed. Superparamagnetic nanoparticles coated with silica gel or alternatively steel beads are new fixed-bed materials for flow reactors that efficiently heat reaction mixtures in an inductive field under flow conditions. The scope and limitations of these novel heating materials are investigated in comparison with conventional and microwave heating. The results suggest that inductive heating can be compared to microwave heating with respect to rate acceleration. It is also demonstrated that a very large diversity of different reactions can be performed under flow conditions by using inductively heated flow reactors. These include transfer hydrogenations, heterocyclic condensations, pericyclic reactions, organometallic reactions, multicomponent reactions, reductive cyclizations, homogeneous and heterogeneous transition-metal catalysis. Silica-coated iron oxide nanoparticles are stable under many chemical conditions and the silica shell could be utilized for further functionalization with Pd nanoparticles, rendering catalytically active heatable iron oxide particles. 相似文献

Proving and refuting mathematical claims constitute a significant element in the development of deductive thinking. These issues are mainly studied during geometry lessons and very little (if at all) in lessons of other mathematical disciplines. This study deals with high school students’ perceptions of proofs in the geometry. The study explores whether students know when to use a deductive proof and when an example is sufficient for proving or refuting geometrical claims. The findings indicate that in cases of simple claims, the students corroborate them by using a deductive proof. However, when the claim is more complex, the students tend to present both a proof and an example. Moreover, they are unsure whether using an example can constitute a method for proving a mathematical claim, believing that in mathematics everything must be proven. They believe that examples are used merely for illustration purposes rather than as a means of convincing. The research conclusions support the need for deepening and developing the students’ distinction between cases where examples are insufficient and cases where an example is sufficient for proving a claim. 相似文献

This paper reports perpendicular magnetic recording (PMR) circumstances and the results based on the reference published by NEC. The PMR flexible disks using Co-Cr-Ta films were investigated. Pass wear durability of Co-Cr-Ta film strongly depends on the base film surface roughness and Young's modulus values of Co-Cr-Ta films. Pass wear durability, more than 10 million passes, was confirmed under a high temperature (60 °C) and a high humidity (80% RH) condition, as well as a low temperature (5 °C) condition. The read/write characteristics for double-layered PMR media were examined by using a combination of a single-pole-type (SPT) write head and a magnetoresistive (MR) read head, and a conventional merged ring type inductive (ID) write head/MR read head. By differential equalization of the reproduced voltage, the bit error rate less than 10−6 at 3 Gb/in.2 was obtained for the SPT/MR head combination. The antenna effect for PMR realization was analyzed using the merged ring type ID/MR head. In order to increase the magnetic circuit resistance from the ID head pole to the soft underlayer, we developed the sendust (FeAlSi) soft underlayer with low magnetic permeability. We confirmed that the recorded signal has better stability under the ID/MR head-loaded condition than the SPT head-loaded condition. These results show that there are the head and media solutions to realize PMR. We had confidence that we could use the basic structure of the commercial ID/MR head for the PMR head. 相似文献
