This investigation summarizes the characteristics of biofiber extracted from the Perotis indica plant. Cellulose content (68.4 wt%), density (785 kg m?3), crystallinity index (48.3%), tensile strength (317–1,608 MPa), and Young’s modulus (8.41–69.61 GPa) properties were identified in the P. indica fibers (PIFs), and thermal stability was studied using thermal gravimetric analysis and derivative thermogravimetric analysis, which revealed its cellulose degradation at a temperature of 339.1°C. Further, the properties of PIFs ensured that it can play an imperative role as new reinforcement as green composites in the manufacturing industries. 相似文献

Abstract The corrosion inhibition and adsorption properties of Neem (Azadirachta indica – AZI) mature leaves extract as a green inhibitor of mild steel (MS) corrosion in nitric acid (HNO3) solutions have been studied using a gravimetric technique for experiments conducted at 30 and 60°C. The results disclose that the different concentrations of the AZI extract inhibit MS corrosion and that inhibition efficiency of the extract varies with concentration and temperature. For extract concentrations studied and ranging from 9.09 to 28.57 mg/L, the maximum inhibition efficiency was 80.5 and 80.07% both at 28.57 mg/L AZI at 30 and 60°C, respectively, in 2.0 N HNO3. The adsorption of the inhibitor on the MS surface was exothermic and consistent with the physical adsorption mechanism, best described by the Frumkin adsorption isotherm. 相似文献

AbstractHalosarcia indica (Amaranthaceae), an Edible food used in Indian traditional folk medicine. The present study aims to evaluate the diuretic, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory properties of Halosarcia indica aqueous extract (HAE) on Wistar albino rats. HAE was found to contain chlorogenic acid, sinapic acid, caffeic acid, ferulic acid, scopoletin, quercetin 3-O-β-D-glucoside and β-sitosterol-D-glucopyranoside. HAE increased the urine excreted (Diuretic Index: 1.62–1.96 over 2–10?h) and curbed writhing responses significantly (40%) compared to aspirin (54.56%). It showed significant reduction in carrageenan plantar edema (42%) similar to indomethacin (48%). Anti-inflammatory activity by Cotton Granuloma method proved that HAE significantly reduced weights of pellets (dry weight 44.93?mg, wet weight 127.45?mg) similar to diclofenac sodium (dry weight 33.2?mg, wet weight 123.58?mg). Acute toxicity studies showed HAE to be safe until 2000?mg/kg. The above findings evidently propose that HAE has diuretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity as observed with rodent models. 相似文献

采用顶空固相微萃取( HS-SPME)、索氏提取( SE)、超声辅助提取( UAE)、水蒸汽蒸馏法( SD)结合气相-质谱( GC-MS)联用技术分析蛇莓的挥发性组分。实验对HS-SPME各影响因素进行了优化,最终确定采用65μm聚二甲基硅氧烷-二乙烯基苯( PDMS-DVB)萃取头在90℃水浴50 min后插入250℃ GC 进样口解吸5 min,得到最佳提取效果。 HS-SPME, SD, SE和UAE方法分别得到47,32,16和16种挥发性组分,总数为66种,其中47种化合物为首次报道。实验结果表明,HS-SPME与SD得到多为萜类化合物,而SE与UAE得到的化合物中酸类分别占总成分61.44%与69.54%。 相似文献

Ovatodiolide (Ova), found in the plant Anisomeles indica (AI), has been reported to have an anti-proliferation effect in various cancer cells. However, little information is available regarding the anti-cancer effect of Ova in human gastric cancer cells. In this study, we investigated the inhibitory effects and the mechanisms of action responsible for these effects on human AGS cell lines from a newly developed purification technique for Ova from AI extract. Extract obtained at the optimum condition of 95% ethanol extraction of AI was sequentially partitioned by using different polarity solvents. Enriched content of Ova (35.9% purity) from the n-hexane fraction was then applied to the purification by using centrifugal partition chromatography (CPC) in a two-phase solvent system consisting of n-hexane:ethyl acetate:methanol:water (1.0:1.0:1.0:1.0, v/v/v/v) to reach purity over >95.0%. In evaluation of the anti-proliferation effect on AGS cells, Ova induced cell apoptosis with IC50 values of 13.02 and 6.18 μM at 24 and 48 h, respectively, and arrested the cells at the G2/M phase. Quantification of Bax/Bcl2 mRNA expressions using qPCR showed a 2.5-fold increase in the Ova (5 μM)-treated cells at 48 h than in the control group. Specific protein expression data warrant further research to further confirm the proposed Ova-induced apoptotic pathway in AGS cells. 相似文献

以浙733(多垩白)和中优早5号(少垩白)两个品种为实验材料,利用人工气候箱控温手段,在植株开花后4天分别移入高(37℃)、中(30℃),低温(24℃)的人工气候箱控温栽培,采用Spurr树脂半薄切片的方法对垩白部位的细胞结构和淀粉粉整体形态进行观察研究,实验结果表明:温度越高,腹背径向的细胞越扁,细胞数目越多,越易导致垩白的发生;不同温度处理下中优早5号的淀粉粒大多为多角形,但温度越高,淀粉粒排列越蔬松,且大小不均一;低温处理下浙733的淀粉粒大多为多角形,排列较为紧密,但大小不均一,中、高温处理下的淀粉粒多为圆球形,排列蔬松,大小很不均一,表明淀粉体发育不良,淀粉充实度不高,排列不致密,是形成垩白的内在因素;开花之后,灌浆期高温是垩白形成的外在决定因素。 相似文献

From the stem bark of Mangifera indica, seven cycloartane‐type secondary metabolites were isolated. Compound 1 has been isolated for the first time from M. indica, whereas compounds 2 (2a and 2b, as an epimeric mixture), 3, and 4 are new triterpenoid‐type cycloartanes. Unambiguous 13C and 1H NMR assignments for these compounds and the known compounds mangiferonic acid (compound 5), isomangiferolic acid (compound 6), ambolic acid (compound 7), and friedelin (compound 8) are reported; the latter because full NMR data for these compounds are not available in the literature. The investigation of phenolic constituents in Vateria indica afforded five resveratrol tetramers, vateriaphenols B and C, isohopeaphenol, hopeaphenol, and shoreaketone. Their structures and configurations were established by spectroscopic methods. The structure assigned to vateriaphenol C was found to be identical with the structure reported in the literature for the resveratrol tetramer isohopeaphenol. The structure of isohopeaphenol was revised and confirmed by spectroscopic evidences. 相似文献
