The mechanism of the intermolecular hydroamination of 3-methylbuta-1,2-diene ( 1 ) with N-methylaniline ( 2 ) catalyzed by (IPr)AuOTf has been studied by employing a combination of kinetic analysis, deuterium labelling studies, and in situ spectral analysis of catalytically active mixtures. The results of these and additional experiments are consistent with a mechanism for hydroamination involving reversible, endergonic displacement of N-methylaniline from [(IPr)Au(NHMePh)]+ ( 4 ) by allene to form the cationic gold π-C1,C2-allene complex [(IPr)Au(η2-H2C=C=CMe2)]+ ( I ), which is in rapid, endergonic equilibrium with the regioisomeric π-C2,C3-allene complex [(IPr)Au(η2-Me2C=C=CH2)]+ ( I′ ). Rapid and reversible outer-sphere addition of 2 to the terminal allene carbon atom of I′ to form gold vinyl complex (IPr)Au[C(=CH2)CMe2NMePh] ( II ) is superimposed on the slower addition of 2 to the terminal allene carbon atom of I to form gold vinyl complex (IPr)Au[C(=CMe2)CH2NMePh] ( III ). Selective protodeauration of III releases N-methyl-N-(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)aniline ( 3 a ) with regeneration of 4 . At high conversion, gold vinyl complex II is competitively trapped by an (IPr)Au+ fragment to form the cationic bis(gold) vinyl complex {[(IPr)Au]2[C(=CH2)CMe2NMePh]}+ ( 6 ). 相似文献

A comprehensive mechanistic study by means of complementary experimental and computational approaches of the exo-cyclohydroamination of primary aminoalkenes mediated by the recently reported β-diketiminatoiron(II) complex B is presented. Kinetic analysis of the cyclisation of 2,2-diphenylpent-4-en-1-amine ( 1 a ) catalysed by B revealed a first-order dependence of the rate on both aminoalkene and catalyst concentrations and a primary kinetic isotope effect (KIE) (kH/kD) of 2.7 (90 °C). Eyring analysis afforded ΔH≠=22.2 kcal mol−1, ΔS≠=−13.4 cal mol−1 K−1. Plausible mechanistic pathways for competitive avenues of direct intramolecular hydroamination and oxidative amination have been scrutinised computationally. A kinetically challenging proton-assisted concerted N−C/C−H bond-forming non-insertive pathway is seen not to be accessible in the presence of a distinctly faster σ-insertive pathway. This operative pathway involves 1) rapid and reversible syn-migratory 1,2-insertion of the alkene into the Fe−Namido σ bond at the monomer {N^N}FeII amido compound; 2) turnover-limiting Fe−C σ bond aminolysis at the thus generated transient {N^N}FeII alkyl intermediate and 3) regeneration of the catalytically competent {N^N}FeII amido complex, which favours its dimer, likely representing the catalyst resting state, through rapid cycloamine displacement by substrate. The collectively derived mechanistic picture is consonant with all empirical data obtained from stoichiometric, catalytic and kinetics experiments. 相似文献

Au-catalyzed hydroamination proceeds well for alkynes but not alkenes. We report gas-phase binding energies of alkenes and alkynes to a cationic Au center, which indicate that differences in binding are not the origin of the disparate chemical behavior. We further report the synthesis and characterization of 2-aminoalkylgold complexes, which would be the intermediates in a hypothetical Au-catalyzed hydroamination of styrene. The reactivity of the well-characterized and isolable complexes reveals that protonation or alkylation of the 2-aminoalkylgold complexes results in amine elimination in solution, and in the gas phase, indicating that the failure of Au-catalyzed alkene hydroamination derives from a non-competitive protodeauration step. We analyze possible transition states for the protodeauration, and identify an insufficiently strong Au-proton interaction as the reason that the transition states lie too high in energy to compete. 相似文献

The development of regioselective anti‐Markovnikov alkene's hydroamination is a long‐standing goal in catalysis. The [Rh(COD)(DPEphos)]+ complex is the most general and regioselective group 9 catalyst for such a process. The reaction mechanism for intermolecular hydroamination of alkenes catalyzed by [Rh(DPEphos)]+ complex is analyzed by means of DFT calculations. Hydroamination (alkene vs. amine activation routes) as well as oxidative amination pathways are analyzed. According to the computational results the operating mechanism can be generally described by alkene coordination, amine nucleophilic addition, proton transfer through the metal center and reductive elimination steps. The mechanism for the formation of the oxidative amination side product goes via a β‐elimination after the nucleophilic addition and metal center protonation steps. The origin of the regioselectivity for the addition process (Markovnikov vs. anti‐Markovnikov additions) is shown to be not charge but orbitally driven. Remarkably, η2 to η1 slippage degree on the alkene coordination mode is directly related to the regioselective outcome. 相似文献

The present computational mechanistic study explores comprehensively the organoactinide‐mediated intramolecular hydroamination/cyclisation (IHC) of aminodienes by employing a reliable DFT method. All the steps of a plausible catalytic reaction course have been scrutinised for the IHC of (4E,6)‐heptadienylamine 1 t by [(CGC)Th(NMe2)2] precatalyst 2 (CGC=[Me2Si(η5‐Me4C5)(tBuN)]2?). For each of the relevant elementary steps the most accessible pathway has been identified from a multitude of mechanistic possibilities. The operative mechanism involves rapid substrate association/dissociation equilibria for the 3 t ‐S resting state and also for azacyclic intermediates 4 a , 4 s , easily accessible and reversible exocyclic ring closure, supposedly facile isomerisation of the azacycle’s butenyl tether prior to turnover‐limiting protonolysis. The following aspects are in support of this scenario: 1) the derived rate law is consistent with the experimentally obtained empirical rate law; 2) the accessed barrier for turnover‐limiting protonolysis does agree remarkably well with observed performance data; 3) the ring‐tether double‐bond selectivity is consistently elucidated, which led to predict the product distribution correctly. This study provides a computationally substantiated rationale for observed activity and selectivity data. Steric demands at the CGC framework appear to be an efficient means for modulating both performance and ring‐tether double‐bond selectivity. The careful comparison of (CGC)4f‐element and (CGC)5f‐element catalysts revealed that aminodiene IHC mediated by organoactinides and organolanthanides proceeds through a similar mechanistic scenario. However, cyclisation and protonolysis steps, in particular, feature a markedly different reactivity pattern for the two catalyst classes, owing to enhanced bond covalency of early actinides when compared to lanthanides. 相似文献

The complete catalytic reaction course for the organolanthanide-assisted intramolecular hydroamination/cyclization (IHC) of 4,5-heptadien-1-ylamine by a prototypical [(eta(5)-Me5C5)2LuCH(SiMe3)2] precatalyst has been critically scrutinized by employing a reliable DFT method. A computationally verified mechanistic scenario for the IHC of 1,3-disubstituted aminoallene substrates has been proposed that is consistent with the empirical rate law determined by experiment and accounts for crucial experimental observations. It involves kinetically rapid substrate association and dissociation equilibria, facile and reversible intramolecular allenic C=C insertion into the Ln-N bond, and turnover-limiting protonation of the azacycle's tether functionality, with the amine-amidoallene-Ln adduct complex representing the catalyst's resting state. This mechanistic scenario bears resemblance to the mechanism that has been recently proposed in a computational exploration of aminodiene IHC. The unique features of the IHC of the two substrate classes are discussed. Furthermore, the thermodynamic and kinetic factors that control the regio- and stereoselectivity of aminoallene IHC have been elucidated. These achievements have provided a deeper insight into the catalytic structure-reactivity relationships in organolanthanide-assisted cyclohydroamination of unsaturated C-C functionalities. 相似文献

Radical anti-Markovnikov hydro- and deuteroamidation of unactivated alkenes was achieved by merging photoredox and thiol catalysis. Reactions proceed by addition of the electrophilic CbzHN-radical (Cbz=carbobenzyloxy), readily generated by single-electron-transfer (SET) oxidation of an α-Cbz-amino-oxy acid to an alkene. The adduct radical is reduced by thiophenol added as an organic polarity reversal cocatalyst, which mediates the H transfer from H2O to the alkyl radical intermediate. Accordingly, deuteroamidation of alkenes was realized with excellent D incorporation by using D2O as the stoichiometric formal radical-reducing reagent. The reaction features low redox catalyst loading, excellent anti-Markovnikov selectivity, and the use of a large alkene excess is not required. Diverse Cbz-protected primary amines, including β-deuterated amines, can be obtained by applying this method. 相似文献

A detailed computational exploration of mechanistic intricacies of the copper(I) hydride (CuH)‐catalysed hydroamination of styrene with a prototype hydroxylamine ester by a recently reported [(dppbz)CuH] catalyst (dppbz≡{P^P}≡1,2‐bis(diphenylphosphino)‐benzene) is presented. A variety of plausible mechanistic avenues have been pursued by means of a sophisticated computational methodology, from which a general understanding of the factors controlling hydroamination catalysis emerged. The catalytically competent {P^P}CuI hydride, which is predominantly present as its dimer, involves in irreversible hydrocupration proceeding with complete 2,1 regioselectivity to form a secondary {P^P}CuI benzyl intermediate. Its interception with benzylamine ester produces the branched tertiary amine product and {P^P}CuI benzoate upon intramolecular SN2 disruption of the amine electrophile′s N?O linkage, to precede a highly rapid, strongly exergonic C?N bond‐forming reductive elimination. The {P^P}CuI benzoate corresponds to the catalyst resting state and its conversion back into the {P^P}CuI hydride upon transmetalation with a hydrosilane is turnover limiting. The effect of electronic perturbations at the amine electrophile upon the reaction rate for productive hydroamination catalysis and also non‐productive reduction of the hydroxylamine ester has been gauged, which unveiled a more fundamental insight into catalytic structure‐performance relationships. 相似文献

A tandem gold‐catalyzed hydroamination/formal aza‐Diels–Alder reaction is described. This process, which employs quaternary homopropargyl amino ester substrates, leads to the formation of an intrincate tetracyclic framework and involves the generation of four bonds and five stereocenters in a highly diastereoselective manner. Theoretical calculations have allowed us to propose a suitable mechanistic rationalization for the tandem protocol. Additionally, by studying the influence of the ligands on the rate of the gold‐catalyzed reactions, it was possible to establish optimum conditions in which to perform the process with a variety of substituents on the amino ester substrates. Notably, the asymmetric version of the tandem reaction was also evaluated. 相似文献
