The conserved quantities for the heated radial liquid jet and the heated radial free jet are established by using conservation laws. The flow in a heated radial jet is described by Prandtl's momentum boundary layer equation, the continuity equation and the energy equation. Viscous dissipation is neglected. The multiplier approach is used to derive the conservation laws for the system of three equations for the velocity components and the temperature and three conserved vectors are obtained. The conservation laws for the system of two partial differential equations for the stream function formulation are also computed by the multiplier approach and three conserved vectors are obtained. One of these is a non-local conserved vector for the system. The conserved quantities for the heated radial liquid jet and the heated radial free jet, emitted into a stationary fluid of uniform temperature θ∞, are derived by integrating the conservation laws across the jet. 相似文献

The optical absorption coefficients and the changes in the refractive index in GaAs/AlGaAs parabolic quantum dots(QDs) with applied electric and magnetic fields are studied in detail. Analytical expressions for the linear and nonlinear intersubband absorption coefficients and refractive index changes are obtained by using a compact density matrix approach and an iterative procedure. The Langevin equation is classically used to model the anhysteretic magnetization curve. A modified version of this equation has been introduced by Jiles to take into account the effects of magnetostriction on the anhysteretic magnetization behavior when a ferromagnetic material undergoes mechanical stresses. The nonlinear Schrödinger equation which governs the dynamics of two-dimensional spatial solitons in Kerr media with periodically varying diffraction and nonlinearity has been analyzed in this paper using variational approach and numerical studies. Analytical expressions for soliton parameters have been derived using variational analysis. Variational equations and partial differential equation have been simulated numerically. Analytical and numerical studies have shown that nonlinearity management and diffraction management stabilize the pulse against decay or collapse providing undisturbed propagation even for larger energies of the incident beam. 相似文献

In this work, a new model of the magneto-thermoelasticity theory has been constructed in the context of a new consideration of heat conduction with fractional derivative. A one-dimensional application for a conducting half-space of thermoelectric elastic material, which is thermally shocked in the presence of a magnetic field, has been solved using Laplace transform and state-space techniques (Ezzat, 2008 [1]). According to the numerical results and its graphs, a conclusion about the new theory of magneto-thermoelasticity has been constructed. The theories of coupled magneto-thermoelasticity and of generalized magneto-thermoelasticity with one relaxation time follow as limited cases.
