The genetic algorithm (GA) described in this paper breeds permutations of transmitters for minimum span frequency assignment. The approach hybridizes a GA with a greedy algorithm, and employs a technique called Generalized Saturation Degree to seed the initial population. Several permutation operators from the GA literature are compared, and results indicate that position based operators are more appropriate for this kind of problem than are order based operators. My offspring versus mid-parent correlation studies on crossovers show Pearson's correlation coefficient to be a reliable predictor of performance in most cases. This paper introduces a novel niching scheme called the q-nearest neighbors replacement (q-NNR) method in the framework of the steady-state GAs (SSGAs) for solving binary multimodal optimization problems. A detailed
comparison of the main niching approaches are presented first. The niching paradigm and difference of the selection-recombination
genetic algorithms (GAs) and the recombination-replacement SSGAs are discussed. Then the q-NNR is developed by adopting special replacement policies based on the SSGAs; a Boltzmann scheme for dynamically sizing the
nearest neighbors set is designed to achieve a speed-up and control the proportion of individuals adapted to different niches.
Finally, experiments are carried out on a set of test functions characterized by deception, epistasis, symmetry and multimodality.

In this paper we consider the resource-constrained project scheduling problem with multiple execution modes for each activity and makespan minimization as objective. We present a new genetic algorithm approach to solve this problem. The genetic encoding is based on a precedence feasible list of activities and a mode assignment. After defining the related crossover, mutation, and selection operators, we describe a local search extension which is employed to improve the schedules found by the basic genetic algorithm. Finally, we present the results of our thorough computational study. We determine the best among several different variants of our genetic algorithm and compare it to four other heuristics that have recently been proposed in the literature. The results that have been obtained using a standard set of instances show that the new genetic algorithm outperforms the other heuristic procedures with regard to a lower average deviation from the optimal makespan. 相似文献

Overall kinetic studies on the oxidative coupling of methane, OCM, have been conducted in a tubular fixed bed reactor, using perovskite titanate as the reaction catalyst. The appropriate operating conditions were found to be: temperature 750-775 ℃, total feed flow rate of 160 ml/min, CH4/O2 ratio of 2 and GHSV of 100 min-1. Under these conditions, C2 yield of 28% was achieved. Correlations of the kinetic data have been performed with lumped rate equations for C2 and COx formation as functions of temperature, O2 and CH4 partial pressures. Six models have been selected among the common lumped kinetic models. The selected models have been regressed with the experimental data which were obtained from the Catatest system by genetic algorithm in order to obtain optimized parameters. The kinetic coefficients in the overall reactions were optimized by different numerical optimization methods such as: the Levenberg-Marquardt and genetic algorithms and the results were compared with one another. It has been found that the Santamaria model is in good agreement with the experimental data. The Arrhenius parameters of this model have been obtained by linear regression. It should be noted that the Marquardt algorithm is sensitive to the first guesses and there is possibility to trap in the relative minimum. 相似文献
