A sensitive kinetic method for determining low levels of hydrazine has been described. The method is based on the measurement of the rate of the reaction between hydrazine and Mo(VI) in the presence of hydrochloric acid. The redox reaction was monitored spectrophotometrically at 710 nm. The variable-time and fixed-time methods were used. The calibration graph was linear for hydrazine concentrations of 1.0 × 10−4-1.4 × 10−2 M, using the fixed-time method of analysis. The method is simple, rapid, precise, sensitive and widely applicable.  相似文献

The syntheses, structure solutions, and physicochemical and catalytic characterizations of the novel zeolites SSZ-53 and SSZ-59 are described. SSZ-53 and SSZ-59 were synthesized under hydrothermal conditions with the [1-(4-fluorophenyl)cyclopentylmethyl]trimethyl ammonium cation and 1-[1-(4-chlorophenyl)cyclopentylmethyl]-1-methyl azocanium cation, respectively, as structure-directing agents. The framework topology of SSZ-53 was solved with the FOCUS method, and the structure of SSZ-59 was determined by model building. Rietveld refinement of synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction data confirms each proposed model. SSZ-53 and SSZ-59 each possess a one-dimensional channel system delimited by 14-membered rings. Results from transmission electron microscopy, electron diffraction, catalytic experiments (spaciousness index and constraint index tests), and argon and hydrocarbon adsorption experiments are consistent with the proposed structures.  相似文献

We propose an approach for separating nuclear spin isomers with coherent light and illustrate it by numerical calculations using fulvene as a model system. The scheme employs the equivalence of torsion and interchange of equivalent H-atoms in a class of molecules of which fulvene is a simple example. The exchange symmetry couples with the rotational symmetry to produce a spatial distinction between the two photo-excited nuclear spin isomers, and wavepacket interferometry is applied to separate the species.  相似文献

Derivative spectrophotometry has gained increasing importance in the past two years and is currently experiencing vigorous development. Following and introduction the present article provides a review of this extremely effective method. In particular, the advantages of higher-order derivative spectrophotometry (HODS method, n > 2) are discussed on the basis of practical examples from a wide range of analytical fields. The results are achieved with the aid of a newly developed analog computer unit, whereby for the first time readily reproducible, low-noise, on-line spectra can be obtained up to the 7th order and even, in favorable cases, up to the 9th order. In practice it has proved valuable to work with spectra of the 3rd to 5th order; but even higher derivations could be profitable for the separation of strongly superposed signals or for “fingerprinting”.  相似文献

This article presents a variation of the integral transform method to evaluate multicenter bielectronic integrals (12|34), with 1s Slater‐type orbitals. It is proved that it is possible to define, out of the expression of (12|34) given by the integral transform method, a function F(q) that has the property of having a unique Q, such that F(Q) = (12|34). Therefore, F(q) may be used to calculate (12|34). It is shown that the evaluation of F(Q) turns out to be simpler than the three‐dimensional integral involved in the calculation of (12|34), and an algorithm is presented to calculate Q. The results show that relative errors on the order of 10?3 or lower are obtained very efficiently. In addition, it is shown that the proposed algorithm is very stable. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Interlaboratory experiments often contain results that strongly deviate from other results obtained in the same laboratory under repeatability conditions, or laboratory means that strongly deviate from other laboratory means. In ISO 5725-2 [1] and IUPAC [2], the basic standards for the organisation and analysis of interlaboratory experiments for the determination of precision of a measurement method, outlier tests are performed in order to detect such situations and to finally decide whether these values are retained in the analysis or discarded as outliers. This outlier treatment, which always has a subjective aspect, becomes unnecessary by using robust estimates of the repeatability and reproducibility standard deviation. This paper proposes to use Rousseeuw’s Q n as an extremely robust and efficient estimate of the standard deviation. Two examples show the performance of the new method.  相似文献

Even though it was obtained in poor yield, p-tert-butylthiacalix[8]arene (TC8A) has been synthesized as a new member of thiacalix[n]arenes by the terephthalate-induced cyclization of a mixture of acyclic oligomers, which was obtained by the reaction between p-tert-butylphenol and sulfur with CaO in ethylene glycol/diphenyl ether system. Slow evaporation of the chloroform solution of TC8A afforded guest-free crystals consisting of TC8A itself. The close-packed crystal structure of TC8A resembles that of p-tert-butylcalix[8]arene (C8A) closely, containing a plated loop molecular structure.This revised version was published online in July 2005 with a corrected issue number.  相似文献

It has been known for many decades that chiral compounds can be obtained by stereospecific biocatalytic reduction. Further significant methodological developments in this field have, however, only been made during the past ten years; they include the application of previously unused microorganisms and electron donors, the discovery of additional substrates for the known reductases, the development of methods for regenerating reduced pyridine nucleotides, and the discovery of new reductases which were sought for specific preparative purposes. Many chiral compounds can now be synthesized by microbial hydrogenation using H2 and hydrogenase-containing microorganisms as well as by electromicrobial or electroenzymatic reduction. In the two latter methods, anaerobic or aerobic organisms are supplied with electrons from electrochemically reduced, artificial mediators, e.g., methyl viologen. Reductases that do not require pyridine nucleotides and can accept electrons directly from reduced viologens are especially useful. Two examples of this type of enzyme are described which are of preparative interest. Many cells contain methyl viologen-dependent NAD(P) reductases, a large number of which have still not been characterized. A productivity number is proposed which allows different methods of bioconversion with microorganisms to be compared. The productivity numbers of compounds synthesized by the methods described in this review are often 10- to 100-fold higher than those of substances obtained by conventional techniques.  相似文献
