This paper investigates regularity of solutions of the Boltzmann equation with dissipative collisions in a thermal bath. In the case of pseudo-Maxwellian approximation, we prove that for any initial datum f0(ξ) in the set of probability density with zero bulk velocity and finite temperature, the unique solution of the equation satisfies f(ξ,t)∈H(R3) for all t>0. Furthermore, for any t0>0 and s?0 the Hs norm of f(ξ,t) is bounded for t?t0. As a consequence, the exponential convergence to the unique steady state is also established under the same initial condition.  相似文献

We investigate theoretically the formation of a vortex lattice in a superfluid two-spin component Fermi gas in a rotating harmonic trap, in a BCS-type regime of condensed non-bosonic pairs. Our analytical solution of the superfluid hydrodynamic equations, both for the 2D BCS equation of state and for the 3D unitary quantum gas, predicts that the vortex free gas is subject to a dynamic instability for fast enough rotation. With a numerical solution of the full time dependent BCS equations in a 2D model, we confirm the existence of this dynamic instability and we show that it leads to the formation of a regular pattern of quantum vortices in the gas.  相似文献

The Dobrushin uniqueness theorem assures that in a very large class of high-temperature classical statistical mechanical lattice models with short or long range, many-body interactions, and arbitrary compact spin space there are no first-order phase transitions. The kinetic theory for dense gases is modified to take into account the existence of bound states. A molecular chaos condition is used which corresponds to the division of the two- and three-particle Hubert spaces into scattering and boundstate subspaces. A kinetic stage results from a long-time limit which converges to yield time-independent functionals for the two- and three-particle density matrices, as functionals of the density matrices for atoms and molecules. Coupled kinetic equations are obtained which describe the gas as a reacting mixture of atoms and diatomic molecules. These include the effects of scattering and rearrangement collisions between the atom and the molecule, and of molecular formation and dissociation.  相似文献

Summary Detailed comparisons between Montecarlo and Boltzmann calculations of electron energy distributions in gases acted upon by RF fields are presented. Attention is turned to model gases of special theoretical interest but various calculations have also been made for real gases such as pure CO and He−CO mixtures. The analysis has shown that large discrepancies exist between energy distributions obtained with the two mentioned techniques under conditions of particular physical interest. The discrepancies are found to be the consequence of the two-term approximation and are expected to disappear if an appropriate multiterm solution of the Boltzmann equation is adopted.  相似文献
