Optimal Control in Heterogeneous Domain Decomposition Methods for Advection-Diffusion Equations

New domain decomposition methods (DDM) based on optimal control approach are introduced for the coupling of first and second order equations on overlapping subdomains. Several cost functionals and control functions are proposed. Uniqueness and existence results are proved for the coupled problem, and the convergence of iterative processes is analyzed. Qualitative properties of stationary measures for three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations

The paper is devoted to studying the distribution of stationary solutions for 3D Navier-Stokes equations perturbed by a random force. Under a non-degeneracy assumption, we show that the support of such a distribution coincides with the entire phase space, and its finite-dimensional projections are minorised by a measure possessing an almost surely positive smooth density with respect to the Lebesgue measure. Similar assertions are true for weak solutions of the Cauchy problem with a regular initial function. The results of this paper were announced in the short note [A. Shirikyan, Controllability of three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations and applications, in: Sémin. Équ. Dériv. Partielles, 2005-2006, École Polytech., Palaiseau, 2006].     

La1-xNdxSrCoO4催化剂的合成及其催化性能

采用聚丙烯胺溶胶-凝胶法制备了类钙钛矿La1-xNDxSrCoO4(x=0.1～0.9)复合氧化物催化剂,考察了其对CO和C3H8的催化氧化活性,并运用XRD、IR和TPR等手段对催化剂进行了表征.结果表明,所制备的样品均具有K2NiF4型结构,适量Nd2O3的加入增加了LaSrCoO4的催化活性,使LaSrCoO4催化剂粒度变小、晶格畸变率变大及与氧的结合能力减弱,从而有利于CO和C3H8氧化活性的提高.     

Chromatic polynomial, q-binomial counting and colored Jones function

We define a q-chromatic function and q-dichromate on graphs and compare it with existing graph functions. Then we study in more detail the class of general chordal graphs. This is partly motivated by the graph isomorphism problem. Finally we relate the q-chromatic function to the colored Jones function of knots. This leads to a curious expression of the colored Jones function of a knot diagram K as a chromatic operator applied to a power series whose coefficients are linear combinations of long chord diagrams. Chromatic operators are directly related to weight systems by the work of Chmutov, Duzhin, Lando and Noble, Welsh.
