The synthesis of fused benzotriazoles based on hexaaminobenzene derivatives

New methods for synthesis of hexaaminobenzene are proposed and, based on this compound, previously unknown preparative procedures for obtaining fused benzotriazoles are developed.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 1, pp. 152–154, January, 1993.     

Reactions of cyclic enehydrazino ketones with arylidenemalononitriles. Synthesis of 11-aryl-1-oxo-2,3,4,5,10b,11-hexahydro-1H-indolo[2,3-b]quinoline-10b-carbonitriles

A general and convenient method for the synthesis of 11-aryl-1-oxo-2,3,4,5,10b,11-hexahydro-1H-indolo[2,3-b]quinoline-10b-carbonitriles was elaborated. The method is based on the novel stereoselective rearrangement of fused N-arylamino-substituted 1,4-dihydropyridines. The structures of the synthesized compounds were studied using ¹H NMR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis.     

Synthesis of 6-oxopyrimidin-1(6H)-yl benzamide derivatives and evaluation of their antibacterial and cytotoxic activity

A series of novel 2-alkylamino and 2, 4-dialkyl amino 6-oxopyrimidin-1(6H)-yl) benzamide derivatives were prepared in good yields from a base-catalyzed ring opening of oxadiazolo[3,2-a]pyrimidin-5-one and evaluated for their antibacterial and cytotoxicity. Most of the compounds exhibited antibacterial activity. In particular, compounds 5b and 5k exhibited considerable antibiotic activity against Klebsiella pneumonia and Bacillus cereus. In addition, compounds 5g and 5i also inhibited the growth of two human tumor cell lines (A549 and H460) at micromolar concentrations.     

Energetic heterocyclic N-oxides: synthesis and performance

Novel synthetic strategies toward construction and functionalization of nitrogen-rich energetic compounds bearing at least one heterocyclic N-oxide scaffold are briefly overviewed. The present focus review summarizes main recent advances (published in the period 2017–2022) in the chemistry of five- and six-membered heterocyclic N-oxides as well as their linear combinations and fused bi-, tri- and tetraheterocyclic frameworks which are of paramount importance for the development of next-generation energetic materials. Physicochemical properties along with detonation performance and mechanical sensitivities of the reported high-energy substances are discussed and their application potential is especially emphasized.     

Algebraic geometry over the residue field of the infinite place

Nikolai Durov introduced the theory of generalized rings and schemes to study Arakelov geometry in an alternative algebraic framework, and introduced the residue field at the infinite place, 𝔽_∞. We show an elementary algebraic approach to modules and algebras over this object, define prime congruences, show that the polynomial ring of n variables is of Krull dimension n, and derive a prime decomposition theorem for these primes.     

On UJ-rings

UJ-rings are studied, i.e., ring in which all units can be presented in a form 1+x, for some x∈J(R). The behavior of UJ-rings under various algebraic construction is investigated. In particular, it is shown that the problem of lifting the UJ property from a ring R to the polynomial ring R[x] is equivalent to the Köthe’s problem for 𝔽₂-algebras.     

Synthesis of 10-membered and larger rings via free radical methods

The purpose of this review is to discuss 1) how free radical chemistry has contributed to development of new methodologies for the construction of 10-membered and larger macrocycles over the past 32 years; 2) the most well-developed free radical methods for constructing 10-membered and larger rings; and 3) how these methodologies have contributed to solving certain key steps in the synthesis of natural products.     

Nano-Fe3O4 encapsulated-silica particles bearing sulfonic acid groups as a magnetically separable catalyst for green and efficient synthesis of functionalized pyrimido[4, 5-b]quinolines and indeno fused pyrido[2, 3-d]pyrimidines in water

The magnetic nanoparticles supported silica sulfuric acid was used as an efficient catalyst for the synthesis of pyrimido[4,5-b]quinolines and indeno fused pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidines in water. The desired products were obtained in excellent yields. Fe3O4@SiO2-SO3H was readily recovered using an external magnet and could be reused several times without significant loss of reactivity.     

Reactions of cyclic enhydrazinoketones with arylidene derivatives of malononitrile. Synthesis of fusedN-substituted 1,4-dihydropyridines

A new method for the synthesis of fusedN-amino-1,4-dihydropyridines was proposed. The method is based on the addition of cyclic enhydrazinoketones to arylidenemalononitriles.
