The dielectric relaxation behaviors of hot pressed poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) film have been studied using dielectric spectroscopy in the frequency domain from 20 Hz to 5 MHz at temperatures between 20 °C and 200 °C. Crystalline/amorphous interphase is suggested with methods of FTIR, XRD, and DSC. Frequency and temperature dependence of dielectric spectroscopy reveals the relaxation behavior and structural dynamics of the samples, and three types of relaxation processes are suggested, αAc relaxation process contributed by the hopping transport process near the periphery of conduction band or valence zones at Fermi energy, αc relaxation process related to the structure change of crystal lattice trapped dipoles in crystalline regions, and αa relaxation process arising from segmental dipole rearrangement of interphases in amorphous regions. Cole-Cole and Havriliak-Negami experimental equations were utilized to analyze these relaxation processes, and differences of Arrhenius parameters for αAc and αc relaxation processes obtained from Cole-Cole and Havriliak-Negami equations were discussed in detail. Activity energy of different relaxation processes obtained from Arrhenius equation and VFT equation indicates non-single thermal activation mechanism for hot pressed PVDF film. 相似文献

A model for predicting the effective thermal conductivity of nanofluids is proposed. It has been documented that the interfacial layer at the solid (particle)/liquid interface and particle size is one of the major mechanisms for enhancing the thermal conductivity of nanofluids. Comparing with other classical models, the proposed model takes into account some additional effects including volume fraction, thickness, thermal conductivity of the interfacial layer and particle size. The proposed model is found to be better than the existing models since the predicted effective thermal conductivity of different types of nanofluids are closer to the experimental results. 相似文献

Structure, electric and dielectric studies of indium-substituted magnesium copper manganese ferrites

The structure, electric and dielectric properties of In-substituted Mg-Cu-Mn ferrites having the general formula of Mg0.9Cu0.1Mn0.1InxFe1.9−xO4 with 0.0≤x≤0.4 have been studied. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns of the samples indicated the formation of single-phase cubic spinel structure up to 0.2 and mixed phase (cubic and tetragonal phase) for samples x≥0.3. The relation of conductivity with temperature revealed a semiconductor to semimetal behavior as In+3 concentration increases. Variation in the universal exponent s with temperature indicates the presence of two hopping conduction mechanisms: the correlated barrier hopping (CHB) at low In+3 content x≤0.1 and small-polaron (SP) hopping at In+3 content x≥0.2. The variation in dielectric permittivity (ε′, ε″) with temperature at different frequencies shows a normal behavior for the studied compounds, while the variation in dielectric loss tangent with frequency at different temperatures shows abnormal behavior with more than relaxation peak. The conduction mechanism used in the present study has been discussed in the light of electron exchange between Fe3+ and Fe2+ ions and hole hopping between Mn2+ and Mn3+ ions at the octahedral B-sites. 相似文献

Several barium plumbate (BaPbO3) solid samples, made from PbO and BaCO3 powder by chemistry liquid-phase coprecipitation, were investigated before and after γ-irradiation. The solid samples were irradiated by a 60Co γ-irradiation source whose dose rate is about 0.7?kGy per hour. The irradiation times were 0, 72, 144, 216, 288 and 360?h. Then, the four-probe method, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) were used to indicate the changes in electrical conductivity and microstructure of BaPbO3 after γ-irradiation. The XRD results indicated that the content of PbO was reduced as the irradiation dose was increased and eventually vanished from the surface of samples. However, there was no new obvious substance phase found from the XRD atlas. It seems that the PbO transformed into nearly amorphous Pb5O8. The conjecture could be proved by the results of annealing experiment and SEM. The XPS results seem to show that the microstructure of BaPbO3 was slightly changed. 相似文献

ABSTRACTPolymers based on ionic conducting materials have important interest because of their potential applications in polymer electrolytes and membranes for fuel cell application. PVdF-co-HFP poly(viniliden-co-hexafluoropropylene) was chosen as a polymer matrix because of its high ionic conductivity and better mechanical properties. Polymer matrix composites were prepared with various amounts of LiClO4 salt by a solution casting method. The sample-ionic conductivity measurements were recorded by AC impedance analyzer at different frequencies from 0.1?Hz to 20?MHz and at different temperatures from 273 to 373?K.The changes of nanoscopic free volume and free volume fraction in these materials were investigated in terms of temperature from 273 to 373?K using Positron Annihilation Lifetime Spectroscopy (PALS) and Simha-Somcynsky (SS) Hole Theory. The free volume had a bump at about 3% in weight percentage of the salt and there is a slight increase after 10%. The effects of weight percentages of LiClO4 and temperature were investigated. The mechanism of the ac ionic conductivity was presented in terms of the free volume models, however thermo-occupancy function justifies the best accurate representation of the data. 相似文献

Abstract Measurements of electron paramagnetic resonance, infrared and electrical properties were carried out for the K2SO4—Na2SO4 mixed system before and after γ-irradiation. EPR measurements revealed the presence of a quartet of lines characterized by an isotropic g-value of 2.0034. These lines are mainly attributed to the formation of a SO? 3 center which results from the interaction of γ-rays with the sulfate ion. A decrease in the absorption intensity of the Infrared radiation was observed after γ-irradiation due to radiation damage in the sulfate group. The electrical conductivity, σ, was measured for the K2SO4—Na2SO4 system before and after γ-irradiation in the temperature range from 30 up to 430°C. A considerable decrease in the conductivity value accompanied by an increase in the activation energy was observed after γ-irradiation. The energy of formation of Frenkel defects was estimated to be 2.94eV. The current-voltage characteristics were measured at different temperatures in order to estimate the type of conduction in the samples. Isothermal annealing kinetics was investigated at different temperatures before and after γ-irradiation. The electrical conductivity decreases with increasing time of annealing and the annealing process is dominated by a unique rate process. 相似文献
