During the reaction of propylene with O2, in situ Diffuse Reflectance FT-IR measurements were performed over Ti-modified SZ and SZ catalysts. Without O2, the main bands characteristic of (branched) hydrocarbons, formed by oligomerization leading to, finally, carbonaceous residue, appeared within the range of 3900-2750 cm-1, which was affected by the bands of surface OH groups. Investigation of these IR bands showed the role of molecular oxygen not only to limit the formation of carbonaceous species on the catalyst surface, but also to form oxygenates and these findings were in good agreement with the results of catalytic reaction.  相似文献

We report the results of a systematic investigation designed to optimize a method for quantifying radioactivity in proteins in sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gels. The method involves dissolving appropriately sized pieces of gel in hydrogen peroxide and heating to 70 degrees C overnight followed by liquid scintillation counting. H(2)O(2) had no effect on the count rates of [(14)C]bovine serum albumin (BSA) when counted in a conventional liquid scintillation system, and the count rates remained stable for several days. Temperatures below 70 degrees C resulted in incomplete extraction of radioactivity from gels containing [(14)C]BSA, but there was also a significant reduction in count rates in samples incubated at 80 degrees C. At 70 degrees C recovery was not affected by the amount of sample loaded onto the gel or by the staining procedure (Coomassie Brilliant Blue or SYPRO Ruby). Recoveries were in the range of 89-94%, and the coefficient of variation for five replicate samples was 5-10%. This method offers a reliable way of measuring the amount of radioactivity in proteins that have been separated by electrophoresis. It may be useful, for example, in quantitative metabolic labeling experiments when it is necessary to know precisely how much tracer has been incorporated into a particular protein.  相似文献

A novel analytical method for determination of total amount of chondroitin sulfate (CS) based on its conversion to desulfated chondro-disaccharide via an enzyme-catalyzed reaction, was developed. Using the in-capillary enzyme reaction, the method was also applied to the successful construction of an on-line analytical system. Within this system, electrophoretic migration was used to mix zones containing the enzyme mixture (chondroitinase ABC, chondro-4-sulfatase, chondro-6-sulfatase and 2-o-sulfatase) and the substrate (CS). The reaction was then allowed to proceed in the presence of a weak electric field and, finally, the product (desulfated chondro-disaccharide) of enzyme reaction migrated to the detector under the influence of an applied electric field. A polyvinyl alcohol-coated capillary was used to reduce protein adsorption. Desulfated chondro-disaccharide was successfully migrated toward the anode in 10 mM Tris-acetate buffer (pH 7.0) under reversed polarity and detected at 232 nm. The established method was validated and demonstrated to be applicable in the determination of total amount of CS in a commercial ophthalmic solution. No interference from the formulation excipients was observed. Good linearity was obtained, with correlation coefficients above 0.999. Recoveries and precisions ranged from 100.0 to 100.5%, and from 0.2 to 0.6% of the relative standard deviation, respectively. Good agreement was obtained between the established method and traditional photometric method based on carbazole reaction. In this study, application of the method to disaccharide compositional analysis was also performed.  相似文献

In capillary electrophoresis using poly(vinyl sulfate), added to sample solutionsand running buffers, the signal of Rhoda-mine 6G (R6G) is shaped like a squarewave. When -, -, or -cyclodextrin (-, -,or -CD) has further been added to the running buffers as well as samplesolutions, the intensity of the square-wave type signal of R6G has been enhanced,accompanied by narrowing of the signal width. The migration time of the risingedge of the square-wave type signal has been very slightly delayed by the additionof CD. These findings exhibit the formation of inclusion complexes of R6G withCDs. From the analyses of the variations in signal width with the concentration ofCD, the equilibrium constants for the formation of the 1:1 inclusion complexes ofR6G with -, -, and -CDs have been evaluated to be 245,210, and 302 M-1, respectively, although the equilibrium constants could not be estimated using a conventional procedure based on electrophoretic mobility, inwhich poly(vinyl sulfate) was not added. The values of the equilibrium constants for- and -CDs are comparable to those obtained from the absorbancechanges in spectrophotometry, whereas the value for -CD is about four timesgreater than that obtained from the absorbance change.  相似文献

NMR spectroscopy, capillary GLC, and GLC-MS are used to study the composition of free and sulfated sterols from the far-east starfishLeptasterias alaskensis asiatica(Fischer) andL. Fisheri(Djakonov). The total free sterols of both species are shown to have similar qualitative and quantitative compositions and contain mainly7 -sterols. Sterol sulfate fractions contain cholesterol sulfate as the main component but differ in the ratios of5 :0 :7 -sterol derivatives. Possible reasons for these differences are discussed. A new steroid, 3-hydroxycholest-5-en-7-one sulfate, was isolated.  相似文献

This paper reports the formation and properties of nano-composite pyroelectric thin films. They consist of pyroelectric triglycine sulfate (TGS) single-crystal nano-rods grown inside a highly dense array of alumina pores (about 65 nm diameter and density of 1011 cm−2). The nucleation and growth of the TGS single crystals are obtained by precipitation from a supersaturated aqueous solution. Nucleation is preferred only at the bottom of the pores due to a tight control of temperature, composition and pore diameter. Growth of single crystals with preferred crystallographic orientation is obtained with the aid of an applied electric field. Various crystallographic orientations (1 0 0) (−1 1 0) (−1 2 0) are obtained separately as a single preferred orientation by changing the amplitude of the electric field during crystal growth. The films exhibit ferroelectric behavior.  相似文献

A new zwitterionic monomer 3‐[diallyl{3‐(diethoxyphosphoryl)propyl}ammonio]propane‐1‐sulfonate has been synthesized and cyclopolymerized to give the corresponding polyzwitterion (±) (PZ) bearing both phosphonate and sulfonate functionalities on each repeating unit. phosphonate ester hydrolysis in PZ gave a pH‐responsive dibasic polyzwitterionic acid (±) (PZA) bearing ? PO3H2 units. The PZA under pH‐induced transformation was converted into polyzwitterion/anion (± ?) (PZAN) and polyzwitterion/dianion (± =) (PZDAN) having respective ? PO3H? and ? PO32? units. The polymers′ interesting solubility and viscosity behaviors have been investigated in detail. The apparent protonation constants in salt‐free water and 0.1 M NaCl of the ? PO32? in (± =) (PZDAN) and ? PO3H in (± ?) (PZAN) as well as in their corresponding monomeric units have been determined. Evaluation of antiscaling properties of the PZA using supersaturated solution of CaSO4 revealed ≈100% scale inhibition efficiency at a meager concentration of 20 ppm for a duration of 45 h at 40 °C. Starting from gypsum, a by-product of lactic acid fabrication process, novel “green” composites have been produced by melt-blending polylactide (PLA) and this filler after a previous specific dehydration to obtain anhydrite II (AII). Such a material is potentially interesting in biodegradable/rigid packaging and in technical applications requiring rigidity, heat resistance and dimensional stability. In order to obtain PLA-AII composites characterized by specific end-use flame retardant properties, the addition of selected organo-modified layered silicates (OMLS) was considered. Co-addition of AII and OMLS leads to PLA (nano)composites characterized by good (nano)filler dispersion, thermal stability and adequate mechanical resistance. The flame retardant properties as shown by cone calorimetry showed significant increase in the ignition time compared to neat PLA and a substantial decrease, i.e., ca. 40%, of the maximum rate of heat release, whereas the UL94 HB test was successfully passed revealing non-dripping effect and extensive char formation. The study represents a new approach in formulating novel PLA grades with improved characteristic features.  相似文献
