A novel synthetic route to 2-alkylpropane-1,3-sultones and its application to the synthesis of 2-alkyl derivatives of tramiprosate

A practical synthetic route to various 2-alkylpropane-1,3-sultones, the key intermediates for the preparation of 2-substituted homotaurines as analogs of tramiprosate, was developed.     

The polysaccharide extracts from the fungi Coprinus comatus and Coprinellus truncorum do exhibit AChE inhibitory activity

The polysaccharide (PSH) extracts from the edible mushroom species Coprinus comatus and Coprinellus truncorum were screened in liquid for their acetylcholinesterase inhibitory (AChE) activity. Both extracts were found to display inhibition of the aforementioned enzyme reaching similar IC₅₀ values of 0.62 ± 0.07 and 0.61 ± 0.03 mg/mL, respectively. According to the means of FTIR spectroscopy, these PSH extracts mostly contained β-glucans. However, the presence of some proteins and polyphenolics as minor ingredients were also detected. Compared with existing literature data for anti-AChE activity of the sugar samples, the findings within this study may be treated as a profound bioactivity. Consequently, this study puts some light on the possible use of the screened macrofungi in the palliative treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.     

Progress on the application of electrochemiluminescence biosensor based on nanomaterials

In this review, we check out the number of published literature in the field of ECL biosensors trends during nearly a decade, and compare the research status of four different types of biosensors; summarize the application forms of nanomaterials in ECL biosensor. We have an overview of the building patterns and application example of the four main types of biosensors in the paper.     

116例冠心病患者血清中钙镁钡铝锶含量的研究

测定１１６例冠心病患者血清中钙，镁，钡，铝和锶的含量并与正常值比较，常量元素钙，镁和微量元素锶降低，而微量元素钡和铝升高，它们之间的差异都有显著或高度显著性。Ｐ〈０．０５或Ｐ〈０．０１。     

化工工人体内微量元素积累与健康的关系

论述了化工作业工人长期接触有害元素会引起体内有害元素积蓄，微量元素平衡失调，产生潜在的职业危害，建议定期对临床尚未发现中毒现象的作业工人进行体内微量元素情况监控，以预防职业中毒。并提出采用适当补充某些必需元素的方法，可预防这种危害。     

内蒙古牧区老年冠心病患者血清Zn,Cu,Ca,Mg的测定及临床意义

用薄样Ｘ射线荧光光谱法测定较区９１老年冠心病患者及６３名老年健康人血清Ｚｎ、Ｃｕ、Ｃａ、Ｍｇ、四种元素的含量。结果表明：牧区老年冠心病患者血清中Ｚｎ、Ｃｕ、含量与健康组比较无显著差异，但两者的比值高于对照组，可能与牧区牧民饮食习惯有关；老年冠心病组血清Ｃａ、Ｍｇ含量显著低于对照组。     

Diagnosis of OH Radical by Optical Emission Spectroscopy in Atmospheric Pressure Unsaturated Humid Air Corona Discharge and its Implication to Desulphurization of Flue Gas

OH radical in the corona discharge with pipe–nozzle–plate electrode has been diagnosed by optical emission spectroscopy. Spatial variations of OH radical emission in discharge gap have been measured. Relative intensity of OH radical emission spectroscopy increases with increasing water vapor flux injected into the reactor or intensity of electric field supported. In positive pulsed corona discharge, relative intensity is higher than that in positive DC corona discharge and lower than that in negative DC corona discharge. Strongest intensity of OH radical spectrum appears within the range of 5 mm near the discharge nozzle- electrode. In addition, it is proved that the efficiency of desulphurization from flue gas by pulsed corona discharge plasma processes can be improved when OH radical is produced in the reactor.     

Genomic variation and point mutations analysis of Indian COVID-19 patient samples submitted in GISAID database

Corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) endemic has havoc on the world; the causative virus of the pandemic is SARS CoV-2. Pharmaceutical companies and academic institutes are in continuous efforts to identify anti-viral therapy or vaccines, but the most significant challenge faced is the highly evolving genome of SARS CoV-2, which is imparting evolutionary selective benefits to the virus. To understand the viral mutations, we have retrieved nine hundred and thirty-four samples from different states of India via the GISAID database and analyzed the frequency of all types of point mutation in all structural, non-structural proteins, and accessory factors of SARS CoV-2. Spike glycol protein, nsp3, nsp6, nsp12, N and NS3 were the most evolving proteins. High frequency point mutations were Q496P (nsp2), A380V (nsp4), A994D (nsp3), L37F (nsp6), P323L & A97V (nsp12), Q57H (ns3), D614G (S), P13L (N), R203K (N), G204R (N) and S194L (N).     

微量元素锌在治疗Bell麻痹中的作用

为探讨急性早期应用补锌和综合疗法治疗Bell麻痹 ,将 1 5 8例Bell麻痹患者 ,随机分成两组 :(1 )补锌组 (补锌 +综合疗法 ) ;(2 )对照组 (单纯综合疗法 )。对其进行了观察对比治疗 ,同时检测了所有患者治疗前后自身对照发锌值 ,还对所有患者进行了定位诊断、面神经电反应测试、并对面肌功能进行评分。结果表明 ,对定位诊断其病变在D段、面肌功能评分在 1 1分以下、面神经无电反应患者 ,即使给予早期综合治疗 ,效果仍较差 ,而早期给予补锌加综合治疗效果优于对照组 ,其它段内患者治疗次数和治愈天数也均优于对照组。可见微量元素锌在发挥免疫应答、免疫调控中的重要作用     

Binding evaluation of isoform 1 fromCratylia mollis lectin to human mammary tissues

The phenomenon of altered carbohydrates in transformed cell surfaces has been studied through histochemical techniques using lectins. Specific binding patterns to normal and transformed mammary tissues were evaluated by Isoform 1 fromCratylia mollis lectin (Cra Iso 1). Protocols using a direct method, incubation of Cra Iso I conjugated to peroxidase (Cra Iso 1-Per) with mammary tissues, followed by diaminobenzidine and hydrogen peroxidase interaction, were performed. Neoplastic tissues, marked by Cra Iso 1, showed a higher intensity of staining than normal ones, in comparison withCanavalia ensiformis lectin, Concanavalin A (Con A), conjugated to peroxidase (Con A-Per). The assay with Cra Iso 1 also indicated a possible utilization of this lectin to characterize normal and transformed mammary cells.
