Volume and compressibility changes of complex formation between 18-Crown-6 and NaCl,KCl, and CsCl in water

The apparent molal volumes and compressibilities of NaCl, KCl, and CsCl in mixtures of 18-Crown-6 and water have been calculated from density and speed-of-sound measurements at 25°C. The partial molal volumes and compressibilities of the salts when all cations have formed complexes with 18-Crown-6 molecules have been evaluated. The sign and magnitude of the volume and compressibility changes of complex formation strongly suggest that the charge of the cation becomes very effectively screened by the crown ether.     

含甲硫基和肟醚基的N-甲氧基氨基甲酸酯类化合物的合成及生物活性研究

为了寻找高效、低毒的农药, 设计合成了一系列新的含甲硫基和肟醚基的N-甲氧基氨基甲酸酯类化合物5a～5q, 其结构经IR, ¹H NMR, LC/MS和元素分析确认. 生物活性测定表明, 部分化合物在50 mg/L下对稻瘟病菌(Pyricularia oryzae)、灰霉病菌(Botrytis cinerea)、水稻纹枯病菌(Rhizoctonia solani)和小麦白粉病菌(Blumeria griminis)有很好的抑菌活性.     

From crown ethers to zeolites: Reaction of EtAlCl2 with crown ethers

In contrast to aluminum alkyls, alkyl aluminum halides such as EtAlCl₂ react with crown ethers to form cation-anion pairs which exhibit the liquid clathrate effect. Specifically, [12-C-4·AlCl₂][AlCl₃Et] and [18-C-6·AlCl₂][AlCl₃Et] have been isolated and characterized by X-ray diffraction techniques. The cations show aluminum in an octahedral environment made up of four of the oxygen atoms from the crown and two chlorine atoms. The 12-C-4 derivative crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2₁/c with cell constants of a=7.497(4), b=22.121(8), c=12.339(5) Å, =94.99(3)^o, and Z=4 for =1.43 g cm^–3. Least-squares refinement based on 1413 observed reflections led to a final conventional R value of 0.093. The 18-C-6 complex belongs to the triclinic space group P1 with a=8.414(4), b=12.193(6), c=12.394(6) Å, =73.14(4), =86.07(4), =81.52(4)^o, and Z=2 for =1.45 g cm^–3. Refinement based on 2605 observed reflections led to R=0.063. The complex aluminum-containing species are related to a class of compounds called aluminoxanes.

PEO／PBHE共混体系X射线散射研究

在聚环氧乙烷(PEO)/聚双酚A羟基醚(PBHE)共混体系中PEO是一个强质子受体,而PBHE是一个强质子给体,两者极易形成氢键,十分有利于形成互容对。笔者研究了PEO/PBHE共混体系的相容性,等温及非等温结晶动力学,本文根据Vonk提出的一维电子密度相关函数,分析了PEO/PBHE的SAXS现象,求得了共混体系的结晶度,片晶层厚度,过渡层厚度及长周期等结构参数。     

Catalytic Oxidation of Dimethyl Ether to Dimethoxymethane over Cs Modified HaPW12O40/SiO2 Catalysts

The attractive utilization route for one-step catalytic oxidation of dimethyl ether to dimethoxymethane was successfully carried out over the H3PW12O40（40%）/SiO2 catalyst, modified by Cs, K, Ni, and V. The Cs modification of H3PW12O40（40%）/SiO2 gave the most promising result of 20% dimethyl ether conversion and 34.8% dimethoxymethane selectivity. Dimethoxymethane could be synthe- sized via methoxy groups decomposed from dimethyl ether through the synergistic effect between the acid sites and the redox sites of Cs modified H3PW12O40（40%）/SiO2.     

Bis(crown-6)calix[4]arene/Cs+ Coordination Chemistry in NPME Solution

NMR spectroscopy was used to show that the symmetry of the crown ether bis(C6) is increased by an increase of the alkali metal cation radius. The EXAFS spectrum demonstrates that a seven oxygen atom coordinated configuration is present in the bis(C6)/Cs⁺/NPME system, where NPME denotes o-nitrophenylmethyl ether. The seventh oxygen in this complex, besides the six crown ether oxygens of bis(C6), may come either from a H₂O molecule or an NO₃⁻ ion.     

联萘冠醚的合成新方法

一种用于合成含联萘基冠醚的新方法。以消旋，手性联萘酚为起始原料，先与氯乙醇反应制得2,2'-二（2－羟基乙氧基）－1,1'－联二苯，再与二甘醇或三甘醇对二对甲苯磺酸酯反应，成功制得了4种联萘冠醚。     

Structure of the 18-Crown-6 Complex with Ammonium Hexafluorosilicate and Water

The crystalline host–guest type complex [(18-crown-6NH₄)₂][SiF₆]4H₂Ohas been obtained as the result of the interaction of SiF₄2NH₃ with 18-crown-6 (18C6) in an aqueous medium. Crystal data: monoclinic, space groupC 2 c, a=26.541(2), b=8.363(2), c=20.469(2) Å, = 122.43(1)°and Z=4. The final R-value is 0.070 for 3253 reflections with I 2(I).The crystals consist of the complex [NH₄18C6]⁺ cations, [SiF₆]^2-anions and water molecules. The ammonium cation is hydrogen bonded by three of its H-atoms to the crown ether oxygen atoms with N(1) O separations2.923(5)–2.940(5) Å and by the fourth H-atom to the fluorine atom of thehexafluorosilicate anion, the N(1)F(4) distance being 2.797(6) Å.The conformation of the macrocycle and the hydrogen-bond geometry in thecomplex cation closely resemble those in related adducts between 18-crown-6and ammonium salts. All crystal components are connected via a system of hydrogen bonds into a ribbon along the b axis in the unit cell.     

Chiral ditopic receptors. Application to palladium-catalyzed allylic alkylation

Chiral pyridinooxazoline, quinolinooxazoline, bis(oxazolino)pyridine (pybox), and bisoxazoline (box) derivatives containing crown ether residues were prepared. Some of the ligands were assessed in substrate binding studies and in palladium catalyzed allylic alkylations.
