1,4-Dicarbonyl-1,4-dihydronaphthalene ( 1 ) was synthesized by the dehydrochlorination reaction of 1,4-dihydronaphthalene-1,4-dicarbonyl chloride with triethylamine and obtained as its very dilute solution, but it easily polymerized in the concentration as high as 0.1 mol/L to give its polymer. 1 generated in situ by the dehydrochlorination reaction of 1,4-dihydronaphthalene-1,4-dicarbonyl chloride in a deoxygenated toluene polymerized alternatingly with benzoquinones such as 2-dodecylthio-p-benzoquinone, 2,5-di(tert-butyl)-p-benzoquinone, p-benzoquinone, and 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-p-benzoquinone, and with benzoquinone diimines such as N,N′-diethoxycarbonyl-p-benzoquinone diimine, N,N′-dibenzoyl-p-benzoquinone diimine, and N,N′-diphenyl-p-benzoquinone diimine to give aromatic polyesters and polyamides, respectively. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Two new lightweight polymerized composites derived from perlite or fly ash were investigated. The properties of these materials were found to be superior to those of conventional concrete. Organoboron complexes having aggregation‐ and crystalization‐induced emission properties are presented. The series of boron diiminates were synthesized and the emission behaviors of the synthesized compounds were investigated. Abstract ESR spectra for a variety of palladium(I) complexes produced in the powders and the frozen solutions of palladium(II) complexes by γ -ray irradiation have been interpreted in terms of the nature of the metal-ligand bonds. It has been found that the covalency for the palladium-ligand σ-bond increases in the order of Pd[sbnd]O, Pd[sbnd]Cl < Pd[sbnd]N < Pd[sbnd]S, Pd[sbnd]C, and that the nature of the metal-ligand bond in palladium(I) complexes is very similar to that in copper(II) complexes. The ratio of the magnitude of the ligand field splitting for palladium(I) complex to that for the copper(II) complex with the same ligand has been estimated from the comparison of their g values. 相似文献

The metathesis reaction of the magnesium complex [(dpp-BIAN)2−Mg2+(THF)3] (dpp-BIAN is 1,2-bis[(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imino]acenaphthene) with one equivalent of AlCl3 in toluene gave the [(dpp-BIAN)2−AlCl2]−[Mg2Cl3(THF)6]+ complex (1). Reduction of dpp-BIAN with aluminum metal in the presence of AlCl3 and AlI3 in toluene and diethyl ether afforded the radical-anionic complex [(dpp-BIAN)−AlCl2] (2) and the dianionic complexes [(dpp-BIAN)2−AlI(Et2O)] (3) and [(dpp-BIAN)2−AlCl(Et2O)] (4), respectively. Compounds 1–4 were isolated in the crystalline state and characterized by IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The structures of compounds
1–3 were established by X-ray diffraction. Compound 2 was characterized by ESR spectroscopy. Compounds 3 and 4 were studied by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy.

A cyclometalated N‐heterocyclic carbene ligand in a half‐sandwich iron complex was found to couple with alkynes, leading to a unique type of ring opening of the carbene ligand and the formation of ferrocenyl–diimine complexes. An intermediary iron complex obtained from the reaction with phenylacetylene reveals that the ring opening follows the formation of a fused heterocycle consisting of an imidazole ring and two alkynes. 相似文献
