This paper presents a hybrid optimization approach for the determination of the optimum laser cutting process parameters which minimize the kerf width, kerf taper, and kerf deviation together during pulsed Nd:YAG laser cutting of a thin sheet of nickel-based superalloy SUPERNI 718 (an equivalent grade to Inconel 718). A hybrid approach of Taguchi methodology and grey relational analysis has been applied to achieve better cut qualities within existing resources. The input process parameters considered are oxygen pressure, pulse width, pulse frequency, and cutting speed. A higher resolution based L27 orthogonal array has been used for conducting the experiments for both straight and curved cut profiles. The designed experimental results are used in grey relational analysis and the weights of the quality characteristics are determined by employing the entropy measurement method. The significant parameters were obtained by performing analysis of variance (ANOVA). The optimized parameters for straight and curved laser cut profiles have been compared. On the basis of optimization results it has been found that the optimal parameter level suggested for straight cut profiles are not valid for curved cut profiles. The application of the hybrid approach for straight cuts has reduced Kt and Kd by 52.37% and 17%, respectively. For curved cuts the approach has reduced Kw and Kt by 8.45% and 44.44%, respectively. The results have also been verified by running confirmation tests.  相似文献

We investigate numerically the stable and unstable manifolds of the hyperbolic manifolds of the phase space related to the resonances of quasi-integrable systems in the regime of validity of the Nekhoroshev and KAM theorems. Using a model of weakly interacting resonances we explain the qualitative features of these manifolds characterized by peculiar ‘flower-like’ structures. We detect different transitions in the topology of these manifolds related to the local rational approximations of the frequencies. We find numerically a correlation among these transitions and the speed of Arnold diffusion.  相似文献

Akbar-Zadeh [J. Geom. Phys. 17 (1995) 342] has recently proposed a new geometric formulation of Einstein-Maxwell system with source in terms of what are called “Generalized Einstein manifolds”. We show that, contrary to the claim, Maxwell equations have not been derived in this formulation, and that the assumed equations can be identified only as source-free Maxwell equations in the proposed geometric setup. A genuine derivation of source-free Maxwell equations is presented within the same framework. We draw a conclusion that the proposed unification scheme can pertain only to source-free situations.  相似文献

We give an explicit formula for the multiplicities of the eigenvalues ofthe Laplacian acting on sections of natural vector bundles over acompact flat Riemannian manifold M = \ n , a Bieberbach group. In the case of the Laplacian acting onp-forms, twisted by a unitary character of , when hasdiagonal holonomy group F 2 k , these multiplicities have acombinatorial expression in terms of integral values of Krawtchoukpolynomials and the so called Sunada numbers. If the Krawtchoukpolynomial K p n (x)does not have an integral root, this expressioncan be inverted and conversely, the presence of such roots allows toproduce many examples of p-isospectral manifolds that are notisospectral on functions. We compare the notions of twistedp-isospectrality, twisted Sunada isospectrality and twisted finitep-isospectrality, a condition having to do with a finite part of thespectrum, proving several implications among them and getting a converseto Sunada's theorem in our context, for n 8. Furthermore, a finitepart of the spectrum determines the full spectrum. We give new pairs ofnonhomeomorphic flat manifolds satisfying some kind of isospectralityand not another. For instance: (a) manifolds which are isospectral onp-forms for only a few values of p 0, (b) manifolds which aretwisted isospectral for every , a nontrivial character of F, and(c) large twisted isospectral sets.  相似文献

We study here K?hler-type properties of 1-convex manifolds, using the duality between forms and compactly supported currents, and some properties of the Aeppli groups of (q-convex manifolds. We prove that, when the exceptional setS of the l-convex manifoldX has dimensionk, X is p-K?hler for everyp > k, and isk-K?hler if and only if “the fundamental class” ofS does not vanish. There are classical examples whereX is notk-K?hler even with a smoothS, but we prove that this cannot happen if2kn = dimX, nor for suitable neighborhoods of S; in particular,X is always balanced (i.e.,(n - 1)-Kahler). We present sequences of linear maps of vector spaces with fixed bases. Each term of a sequence is a linear space of differentials of metric values ascribed to the elements of a simplicial complex determining a triangulation of a manifold. If a sequence is an acyclic complex, then we can construct a manifold invariant using its torsion. We demonstrate this first for three-dimensional manifolds and then construct the part of this program for four-dimensional manifolds pertaining to moves 24.  相似文献

We investigate the quantum mechanical wave equations for free particles of spin 0, 1/2, 1 in the background of an arbitrary static gravitational field in order to explicitly determine if the phase of the wavefunction is S/ = p dx /, as is often quoted in the literature. We work in isotropic coordinates where the wave equations have a simple manageable form and do not make a weak gravitational field approximation. We interpret these wave equations in terms of a quantum mechanical particle moving in medium with a spatially varying effective index of refraction. Due to the first order spatial derivative structure of the Dirac equation in curved spacetime, only the spin 1/2 particle has exactly the quantum mechanical phase as indicated above. The second order spatial derivative structure of the spin 0 and spin 1 wave equations yield the above phase only to lowest order in . We develop a WKB approximation for the solution of the spin 0 and spin 1 wave equations and explore amplitude and phase corrections beyond the lowest order in . For the spin 1/2 particle we calculate the phase appropriate for neutrino flavor oscillations.  相似文献

We consider generalizations of the standard Hamiltonian dynamics to complex dynamical variables and introduce the notions of real Hamiltonian form in analogy with the notion of real forms for a simple Lie algebra. Thus to each real Hamiltonian system we are able to relate several nonequivalent ones. On the example of the complex Toda chain we demonstrate how starting from a known integrable Hamiltonian system (e.g. the Toda chain) one can complexify it and then project onto different real forms. A Boutet de Monvel type calculus is developed for boundary value problems on (possibly) noncompact manifolds. It is based on a class of weighted symbols and Sobolev spaces. If the underlying manifold is compact, one recovers the standard calculus. The following is proven:
  • 1 The algebra G of Green operators of order and type zero is a spectrally invariant Fréchet subalgebra of L(H), H a suitable Hilbert space, i. e.,
  • 2 Focusing on the elements of order and type zero is no restriction since there are order reducing operators within the calculus.
  • 3 There is a necessary and sufficient criterion for the Fredholm property of boundary value problems, based on the invertibility of symbols modulo lower order symbols, and
  • 4 There is a holomorphic functional calculus for the elements of G in several complex variables.
