In the understanding of the spatial behavior of interacting components of rotating two-component Bose-Einstein condensates, a central problem is to establish whether coexistence of all the components occurs, or the interspecies interaction leads to extinction, that is, configurations where one or more densities are null. In this paper, we prove that the interspecies interaction leads to extinction in the Thomas-Fermi approximation in dimension three.  相似文献

We study the motion of a heavy tracer particle weakly coupled to a dense, weakly interacting Bose gas exhibiting Bose–Einstein condensation. In the so-called mean-field limit, the dynamics of this system approaches one determined by nonlinear Hamiltonian evolution equations. We prove that if the initial speed of the tracer particle is above the speed of sound in the Bose gas, and for a suitable class of initial states of the Bose gas, the particle decelerates due to emission of Cherenkov radiation of sound waves, and its motion approaches a uniform motion at the speed of sound, as time t tends to ∞.  相似文献

Reverse osmosis is an interesting process to eliminate organic solutes from distillery condensates before recycling them into the fermentation step. However, organic solutes transport phenomena through reverse osmosis membranes are specific. Rejection and sorption of five compounds were studied on a brackish water membrane. Acetic acid and 2,3-butanediol were not sorbed on the membrane while furfural and 2-phenylethanol presented strong sorption following the Langmuir pattern. These sorption effects coupled with solute molecular weight (MW) led to low rejections of acetic acid and furfural (30–60%) and high rejections of 2,3-butanediol and 2-phenylethanol (80–98%). With intermediate sorption and MW, butyric acid showed rejections between 70 and 80%. A modified solution-diffusion model was developed to take into account the sorption pattern and predict the concentration profile along the membrane on the retentate and permeate sides. Equilibrium properties were determined experimentally while transport properties were identified with data obtained from a synthetic condensate. This model was validated for various operating conditions with the synthetic and the industrial condensates. It was then used to simulate the influence of the recovery rate on the retentate and permeate concentrations. It showed the behavior differences between solutes with a linear sorption and solutes with a saturating sorption.  相似文献

Condensate microdrop self‐propelling (CMDSP) surfaces have attracted intensive interest. However, it is still challenging to form metal‐based CMDSP surfaces. We design and fabricate a type of copper‐based CMDSP porous nanoparticle film. An electrodeposition method based on control over the preferential crystal growth of isotropic nanoparticles and synergistic utilization of tiny hydrogen bubbles as pore‐making templates is adopted for the in situ growth of cerium oxide porous nanoparticle films on copper surfaces. After characterizing their microscopic morphology, crystal structure and surface chemistry, we explore their CMDSP properties. The nanostructure can realize the efficient ejection of condensate microdrops with sizes below 50 μm.  相似文献

研究了在对称双势阱玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚体系粒子间相互作用项上外加周期调制而引起的系统动力学相变,特别地研究了该系统通向混沌的相变过程.发现在一定驱动参数下,当外加调制频率与系统固有频率达到共振时,相平面会出现不稳定性现象,即混沌.在混沌区域,粒子在各量子态随机分布,平均布居数差在零附近波动.特别地,研究表明,混沌现象的出现可以用量子纠缠熵来表征,混沌现象出现时,两种平均纠缠熵都趋于它们的最大值. 关键词: 玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚 双势阱 混沌 纠缠熵  相似文献

It is demonstrated that Smale-horseshoe chaos exists in the time evolution of the one-dimensional Bose-Einstein condensate driven by time-periodic harmonic or inverted-harmonic potential.A formally exact solution of the time-dependent Gross-Pitaevskii equation is constructed,which describes the matter shock waves with chaotic or periodic amplitudes and phases.  相似文献
