A specimen with a crack shaped like a thin long defect with parallel edges and a rounded tip of finite radius is considered. When the specimen is subjected to compressive cyclic loads, the stresses in zones adjacent to the crack tip vary according to a sign-variable cycle because of plastic strains occurring at the crack tip. This can cause fatigue-crack growth. 将经典全量理论作了推广,考虑了应力状态及塑性体积变形对拉压性能不同材料的塑性行为的影响。应用该本构模型分别计算了厚壁筒在内压和外压作用下的应力分布。给出了径向应力、环向应力和轴向应力沿壁厚的分布图。将本文的计算解与拉压性能相同(不考虑体积变形、强化曲线唯一)的幂函数强化材料的厚壁筒的理论解进行了比较。结果表明,材料的拉压性能不同对厚壁筒的环向应力和轴向应力影响较大。因此,对于拉压性能不同材料,考虑到其对应力状态及塑性体积变形敏感时,是不能将其简化成拉压性能相同、体积不可压缩、强化曲线唯一的理想材料。  相似文献

Numerical modeling of the time-dependent supersonic flow over a compression corner with different roundness radii is performed on the basis of the solution of the two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations in the regimes corresponding to local boundary layer separation. The development of unstable disturbances generated by local periodic injection/suction in the preseparated boundary layer is calculated. The results are compared with those of similar calculations for a flat plate. It is shown that the natural oscillations of the boundary-layer second mode stabilize in the separation zone and grow intensely downstream of the reattachment point. The acoustic modes excited within a separation bubble are studied using numerical calculations and an asymptotic analysis.  相似文献

Summary Investigation of time dependent behaviour of a polystyrene melt is carried out with the aid of a new apparatus for biaxial extension. Use is made of the method of two impinging fluid streams guided by lubricated trumpet shaped metal walls. The flow birefringence is measured in the plane of symmetry and, at the same time, the force is measured which tends to separate the trumpets. The linear stress-optical relation turns out to be valid in this new flow geometry. An accurate value for the stress-optical coefficient can be determined from the relaxation experiments. The stress build-up as calculated from the optical measurements, is compared with the pertinent result of the theory of linear viscoelasticity. For the desired interconversion of dynamic moduli use is made of the approximation by Schwarzl and Struik. The steady state measurements are checked by the results of the non-linear model of Acierno et al.With 16 figures and 2 tables  相似文献

To detect and study cohesive subgroups of actors is a main objective in social network analysis. What are the respective relations inside such groups and what separates them from the outside. Entropy-based analysis of network structures is an up-and-coming approach. It turns out to be a powerful instrument to detect certain forms of cohesive subgroups and to compress them to superactors without loss of information about their embeddedness in the net: Compressing strongly connected subgroups leaves the whole net’s and the (super-)actors’ information theoretical indices unchanged; i.e., such compression is information-invariant. The actual article relates on the reduction of networks with hundreds of actors. All entropy-based calculations are realized in an expert system shell.  相似文献

Diffuse mode bifurcation of soil under plane-strain compression test is shown, by means of an image analysis based on group-theoretic bifurcation theory, to trigger convection-like shear and to precede shear band formation. First digital photos of Toyoura sand specimens are processed by PIV (particle image velocimetry) to gather digitized images of deformation. Next bifurcation from a uniform state is detected by expanding these images into the double Fourier series and finding a predominant harmonic diffuse bifurcation mode based on that theory. This harmonic bifurcation mode, which is the mixture of a few harmonic functions, expresses complex convection-like shear. Last bifurcation from a non-uniform state is detected by decomposing each image into a few images with different symmetries to extract non-harmonic diffuse bifurcation modes. Diffuse modes of bifurcation, which hitherto were hidden behind predominant uniform compressive deformation, have thus been made transparent by virtue of the group-theoretic image analysis proposed. A possible course of deformation suggested herein is the evolution of diffuse mode bifurcation with a convection-like bifurcation mode breaking uniformity and symmetry, followed by the formation of shear bands through localization.  相似文献

For axially symmetric deformations of the perfectly elastic neo-Hookean and Mooney materials, formal series solutions are determined in terms of expansions in appropriate powers of 1/R, where R is the cylindrical polar coordinate for the material coordinates. Remarkably, for both the neo-Hookean and Mooney materials, the first three terms of such expansions can be completely determined analytically in terms of elementary integrals. From the incompressibility condition and the equilibrium equations, the six unknown deformation functions, appearing in the first three terms can be reduced to five formal integrations involving in total seven arbitrary constants A, B, C, D, E, H and k 2, and a further five integration constants, making a total of 12 integration constants for the deformation field. The solutions obtained for the neo-Hookean material are applied to the problem of the axial compression of a cylindrical rubber tube which has bonded metal end-plates. The solution so determined is approximate in two senses; namely as an approximate solution of the governing equations and for which the stress free and displacement boundary conditions are satisfied in an average manner only. The resulting load-deflection relation is shown graphically. The solution so determined, although approximate, attempts to solve a problem not previously tackled in the literature.   相似文献
