The mechanical properties of glass bead filled low density polyethylene (LDPE) composites in tension have been investigated by using an Instron material testing machine. It is found that with increase of the glass bead weight fraction (φ) the tensile modulus (Ec) and the tensile yield stress (σyc) increase as a form of nonlinear function but contrary to the elongation strain at break; the correlation between Ec and φ accords with the logarithmic mixing rule and the relationship between σy and the volume fraction (φf) can be described by means of a second order equation; the effects of the glass bead diameter on the mechanical properties are not large; when φ and the bead size are suitable, the enhanced toughness effect of the filled-systems is more significant; the tensile strength of the glass bead filled system pretreated with a coupling agent are somewhat greater than those of the untreated system. In addition, the morphology of the samples is studied to explain the relationship between the micro-structure and the mechanical properties of the composites.  相似文献

A copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) has been encapsulated in silica. The trapping effects were studied comparing the UV-Vis absorption spectra of some CuPc solutions and composites prepared under different conditions. The trapped organic molecules’ stability was monitored during the gelation and drying processes. Leachability test have been carried out with the aim of checking the trapping efficiency. Hydrolysis water of pH=2 and a molar ratioR w =6 mol acid H2O/mol TMOS leads to a higher CuPc stacking angle homogeneity. The increase of Pc induces a narrower mesopore distribution and helps the stabilization of the composite.  相似文献

Three different methods for the preparation and modification of conducting polymer/noble metal catalyst systems consisting of polypyrrole (PPy) and platinum (Pt) are described for the anodic oxidation of methanol. The first method consists of the electrochemical deposition of a thin PPy film on glassy carbon substrate, which is modified with Pt either by electroreduction of hexachloroplatinate, codeposition from a nanodispersed Pt solution, or incorporation of tetrachloroplatinate as counterion followed by cathodic reduction. A second method is based on the preparation of nanoscale PPy(PSS) particles by chemical polymerization with polystyrenesulfonate PSS as the counterion. This material is a favorable catalyst support for nanodispersed Pt due to its mixed electronic and cationic conductivity. To study the electrochemical properties, the particulate system PPy(PSS)/Pt is fixed in a carbon fiber electrode. A third method was developed which brings the polypyrrole in close contact to a proton exchanger membrane (Nafion) using a special chemical deposition procedure. This method is useful for preparing a membrane electrode assembly (MEA) consisting of Nafion/PPy/Pt. The structural, morphological, and electrocatalytic properties for methanol oxidation were studied depending on the preparation method applied using surface analytical techniques (TEM, SEM, and EDX) and electrochemical measurements (cyclic voltammetry and transient techniques).  相似文献

报道了当制药废水PH8.0时,用蒙脱石-石墨-聚氯乙烯复合电极可以直接测定苯酚的含量而不受水杨酸存在的干扰,苯酚浓度在1.0μg/mL-25.0μg/mL范围内峰电流与浓度有良好的线性关系,I=1.262c-0.046,相关系数r=0.998,检出限为0.1μg/mL,用该方法测定模拟制药废水中苯酚,其平均回收率为101.7%。  相似文献

Pervaporation separation of alkane/thiophene mixtures with PDMS membrane   总被引:7,自引:0,他引:7  
Worldwide concerns over environment have stimulated increasing interest both in academic and industry for deep desulfurization of gasoline. Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) composite membrane was used to separate the binary and multicomponent alkane/thiophene mixtures by pervaporation. Effect of carbon number and concentration of alkane, and of feed temperature, on the separation efficiency of alkane/thiophene mixtures was investigated experimentally. Experimental results of binary mixtures indicated that the total fluxes for different alkane/thiophene mixtures decrease with increase of carbon number in the alkanes. Corresponding activation energies of permeation for alkanes in PDMS membrane increase with increase of carbon number in the alkanes. Differences of molecular size and structure of the alkanes lead to various selectivities thereof within PDMS membrane. In addition, the permeability and activation energy of thiophene in various systems differ from each other due to coupling effect which should be taken into consideration when dealing with multicomponent systems. Pervaporation results of ternary systems indicated that, the increase of content of lighter alkane in feed would result in a larger total flux, but a smaller selectivity to thiophene simultaneously. A quaternary system, the mixture of n-heptane, n-octane, n-nonane and thiophene, was employed to simulate the desulfurization process of gasoline. With the membrane having a PDMS layer of 11 μm, the total flux was measured to be about 1.65 kg/m2 h, with the corresponding enrichment factor of thiophene 3.9 at 30 °C.  相似文献

Activated composite membranes (ACMs) containing di-(2-ethylhexyl) dithiophosphoric acid (D2EHDTPA) as a carrier have been found to facilitate the transport and separation of several cations. This paper describes an approach to the chemical characterisation of the transport phenomena of Zn2+, Cd2+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Sn2+ and In3+ by an ACM. The selectivity of D2EHDTPA based ACM towards different metal ions is presented and discussed focusing in Zn2+ and Cd2+ transport and recovery. Selectivity demonstrates that zinc ions are removable from mixtures due to the different extraction strength of D2EHDTPA. Such selectivity is based on the differences of the dynamic behaviour of the metal ions transport. In addition, a correlation of the chemical behaviour of those ACM systems with the corresponding solvent extraction systems has been found.  相似文献
