An efficient synthesis of the orally-active GpIIb/IIIa antagonist FR184764

An efficient synthesis of the orally-active GpIIb/IIIa antagonist FR184764 was achieved. The key intermediate, an optically active ethynyl β-amino ester, was synthesized efficiently by utilizing a lipase catalyzed kinetic resolution step.     

Synthesis of indenes by ytterbium-catalyzed carboalkoxylation/Friedel-Crafts reaction of arylidenecyclopropanes with acetals

Ytterbium-catalyzed tandem carboalkoxylation/Friedel-Crafts reaction of arylidenecyclopropanes 1 with acetals 2 afforded the corresponding indene derivatives 3 in good to high yields. For example, in the presence of 10 mol % of Yb(OTf)₃ the reaction of 1-phenylbenzylidenecyclopropane 1a with the dimethyl acetals of benzaldehyde 2a, p-tolualdehyde 2b, and p-anisaldehyde 2c gave 1,3-diphenyl-2-(2-methoxyethyl)indene 3a, 2-(2-methoxyethyl)-3-phenyl-1-(p-tolyl)indene 3b, and 1-(p-anisyl)-2-(2-methoxyethyl)-3-phenylindene 3c in 82%, 80%, and 80% yields, respectively.

Orthogonal multiple click reactions in synthetic polymer chemistry

This review highlights the concept of multiple click reaction strategy which is utilized for design and synthesis of well‐defined complex macromolecular structures as well as multifunctionalization of well‐defined polymers. This review examines the click combinations mainly from double to quadruple and additionally from the most frequently used to the least. The present review may also be regarded as an update for recent reviews dealing with specifically double and triple click reaction combinations in synthetic polymer chemistry. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Stereoselective total synthesis of (+)-(6R,2′S)-cryptocaryalactone and (−)-(6S,2′S)-epi cryptocaryalactone

The total synthesis of (+)-(6R,2′S)-cryptocaryalactone and (−)-(6S,2′S)-epi cryptocaryalactone is reported based on stereoselective reduction of δ-hydroxy β-keto ester to install 1,3-polyol system, cis Wittig olefination, and lactonization as the key steps. The synthesis of (−)-(6S,2′S)-epi cryptocaryalactone is also reported using syn-benzylidene acetal formation and a preferential Z-Wittig olefination reaction and lactonization as the key steps.     

Reversible Chain Transfer Catalyzed Polymerizations (RTCPs) of Styrene and Methyl Methacrylate with Phosphorus Catalysts

Summary : Phosphorus compounds were employed as catalysts in Reversible Chain Transfer Catalyzed Polymerization (RTCP), a novel class of living radical polymerization (LRP) which we had recently developed. Low-polydispersity polystyrene and poly(methyl methacrylate) with predicted molecular weights were obtained with a fairly high conversion in a fairly short time. These catalysts are particularly featured by their high reactivity hence small amounts being required, low toxicity, and low cost. Some phosphorus catalysts used in this work are among the least expensive catalysts/mediators of LRP developed so far.     

N-羟基邻苯二甲酰亚胺和二氧化锰高效催化对硝基甲苯氧化

采用N-羟基邻苯二甲酰亚胺(NHPI)和二氧化锰(MnO2)作为催化剂催化对硝基甲苯的氧化反应以制备对硝基苯甲酸;对反应条件进行了优化.结果表明,采用10%(与原料的摩尔比)NHPI和10%(与原料的摩尔比)MnO2作为催化剂,在110℃、氧气压力0.4 MPa下反应4 h,对硝基甲苯的转化率为97%,对硝基苯甲酸的分...     

无机锡催化δ-酮腈异构化成吡啶酮反应的研究

本文分别对三种无机锡(SnCl~2,SnO和SnO~2)催化δ-酮腈异构化成吡啶酮的条件进行了考察。实验结果表明:SnCl~2和SnO具有很高的催化活性。
