Predicting Homoclinic Bifurcations in Planar Autonomous Systems   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
An analytical method to predict the homoclinic bifurcation in a planar autonomous self-excited weakly nonlinear oscillator is presented. The method is mainly based on the collision between the periodic orbit undergoing the homoclinic bifurcation and the saddle fixed point. To illustrate the analytical predictive criteria, two typical examples are investigated. The results obtained in this work are then compared to Melnikov's technique and to a previous criterion based on the vanishing of the frequency. Numerical simulations are also provided.  相似文献

考虑单向板的轴向速度、轴向张力、流固耦合作用以及阻尼等因素, 基于由 von Kármán薄板大挠度方程得到的轴向移动局部浸液单向板的非线性振动方程, 研究了外激励作用下单向板在1:3内共振情况时的非线性振动特性. 首先利用Galerkin法对非线性振动方程离散化, 然后分别应用数值法和近似解析法对离散后模态方程组进行求解, 获得了系统内共振情况下复杂的幅频特性曲线, 并讨论了周期解的稳定性. 最后研究了1:3内共振系统平均方程组的运动分岔现象.  相似文献

A Predator–Prey type of dynamical systems with non-monotonic response function and time-periodic perturbation is considered in this paper. We present a proof for the number of equilibria in the unperturbed system at some parts of the parameter space. The perturbed system is a dynamical system defined by a periodic vector field. We present an alternative proof for a classical result on the period of the periodic solution. By using a numerical continuation method AUTO (Doedel et al., 1986 [9]), we present a bifurcation analysis for periodic solution of the perturbed system where we found fold, cusp and Swallowtail bifurcations.  相似文献

This paper treats bifurcations of periodic solutions indiscontinuous systems of the Filippov type. Furthermore, bifurcations offixed points in non-smooth continuous systems are addressed. Filippov'stheory for the definition of solutions of discontinuous systems issurveyed and jumps in fundamental solution matrices are discussed. It isshown how jumps in the fundamental solution matrix lead to jumps of theFloquet multipliers of periodic solutions. The Floquet multipliers canjump through the unit circle causing discontinuous bifurcations.Numerical examples are treated which show various discontinuousbifurcations. Also infinitely unstable periodic solutions are addressed.  相似文献

We use three different approaches to describe the static spatial configurations of a twisted rod as well as its stability during rigid loading experiments. The first approach considers the rod as infinite in length and predicts an instability causing a jump to self-contact at a certain point of the experiment. Semi-finite corrections, taken into account as a second approach, reveal some possible experiments in which the configuration of a very long rod will be stable through out. Finally, in a third approach, we consider a rod of real finite length and we show that another type of instability may occur, leading to possible hysteresis behavior. As we go from infinite to finite length, we compare the different information given by the three approaches on the possible equilibrium configurations of the rod and their stability. These finite size effects studied here in a 1D elasticity problem could help us guess what are the stability features of other more complicated (2D elastic shells for example) problems for which only the infinite length approach is understood.  相似文献

This paper studies the effect of external noise on systems displaying nonlinear instabilities of periodic orbits. Each class of instability is found to have its own characteristic signature, as displayed by the power spectrum.
